The ICC should see Afghanistan as a team and not look in their political issues. Even though we know that Afghanistan Talibans are threat to the world but this has nothing to do with cricket. If they are playing good cricket, then ICC should not ban them.
By the way, is there any news which hints that ICC may impose ban on Afghanistan cricket board or is it just speculation ?

Unfortunately we can't expect anything from icc on such matters. The new regime in Afghanistan don't have good relations with big 3, rest you can understand yourself. One of the biggest concern is whether new government allow cricket team to play under the old afghan flag or not? The other concerns include whether woman's are allowed to play cricket? There are many if else which need to be cleared by new Afghanistan government in order to keep playing the cricket.

Cricket Australia will cancel the Test match against Afghanistan in November if women are not allowed to play the sport under the Taliban regime. source

Nothing much to say about SA Aus match. So far Aussies bowlers have done there job, seems like SA will be restricted to 120. It will be an easy target to chase for Australia.

Second match will be interesting,  odds are favouring Eng but WI is equally good in T20. I have placed my bet on WI. Wish me luck.

The world should not recognize the Taliban, they should recognize the mystery spin-off, Rashid Khan. They should see the incredible performance of Mohammed Nabi. Afghanistan is a really promising nation for cricket. They produced players like Rashid, Nabi, Shehzad, Zadran who r really good players and assets of the country. And now they are security at stake so ICC should take steps about their security and safety.
This is just funny nothing else because Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Zardan are not bigger than Afghanistan right now world facing some serious issues just because of this country so hopefully this all will be settled in near future because it's very important for all parties.

Afghanistan is really mystery country for world in last 4 centuries we never have peace here, and they are doing still doing incredible things against most powerful countries of the world. But, now hopefully we will have some changes and youths able to perform good in cricket and soccer because they need some good things for entertainment as well.

If ICC ban Afghanistan then surely it's could be very bad for Afghanistan and ICC because this never help to spread this game.

^ If Jofra and Ben come back then I think England has a genuine chance of winning the series because they are two-star players of England who paved the way for their world cup win and the England team can depend on their performance in needed situations. Ben Stokes is one of the best all-rounders and Archer is one of the best bowlers who can help the team tremendously. So England can get their hopes up if these two players play for them against India.

In case of Ben Stokes, it needs to be seen whether he can perform up to his pre-injury level. And Jofra always perform poorly against India. But who knows? If they prepare some bouncy, seaming pitches, then the England bowlers may be able to trouble the Indians. But more than Jofra, I would say that James Anderson represents a bigger threat for the Indians. And as far as batting is concerned, they are dependent on Joe Root. The addition of Stokes may strengthen their middle order, if he manages to score runs.

@Sithara007 you’re right post an injury a player always takes time to recover, but Ben Stokes can recover strongly as he has that winning desire in him. Also with Jofra it’s a confidence issue, and once he’s able to cross this barrier then he’ll be able to perform well against any opponent including team India.

So guys last India vs England series still alive. India is leading 2-1 but England now has good chance to tie the series considering Ben stokes and Jofra might come back next year and they could possibly win the match because its one-off test match along with white ball series.
Fifth England-India Test rescheduled for next year

I think until and unless the world recognises the Taliban government they will face such discrimination. Taliban has not done anything well till now to convince the world that they have evolved from what they were in the 90s. You are right it can be a matter of months before ICC decides to remove the Afghan cricket board from the official list of cricket playing nation.
The "world" is never going to recognize Taliban, because they are a bunch of murderous terrorists. And they haven't done anything to convince others that they are behaving in a civilized way. I am looking forward to see what the other sports bodies do regarding Afghanistan. FIFA hasn't suspended their membership yet, and on the other hand they have managed to evacuate around 100 football players to Qatar. The ICC has remained mute, despite Afghanistan being one of the test playing nations.
This is your personal statement because you are feeling some pain but sooner of later world must do some better relationship with Afghanistan because they need this otherwise they will face some serious dilemma which is not good for anyone China is working very closely with them, and they are going to invest some good amount for their own sack and Russia is also monitoring this all if these two accepted then surely no way for many other countries even India is crying about this and having some good propaganda on social media no one going to check this all.
Afghanistan and Taliban now fact for this world better join them and have some good and better peace in this region.

Sooner or later Afghanistan will be eliminated from icc n primary reason is there new government has differences with India and India will use icc to restrict them from playing international matches. India investment in Afghanistan has gone down to zero after New take over.
But in the end it will be Afghanistan players that will suffer. They have made huge progress in recent years n chances are that it will be down to zero. Only neutral icc can allow them to play cricket.

Apartheid era South Africa was kicked out from the ICC for discriminating against the racial minorities. Here, Taliban is doing much worse. They are literally exterminating the religious minorities. Given this, the ICC don't have any option other than to terminate them. The funding will stop as well. Because whatever funds being provided to the Afghan cricket board will end up with the Taliban terrorists and they will use those funds to spread terror in neighboring regions. No need to blame the BCCI here. Even the other boards such as the ECB and CA will do the same.

Yeah afganistan is facing some terrible times and they need support from ICC as well as other country boards as well. Afganistan is full of talent and if given right guidance they can become a team to beat in the upcoming times. Rashid khan can be one of the best spinners in the test as well like he is in t-20
I do not think that there i no issue for the Afghanistan cricket board but the outside world might take action against them because of the Taliban rule as they do not allow Woman sports at all and Cricket Australia is vocal and they might call off matches against Afghanistan if the situation does not change, the biggest question is what will the ICC's position in this regard, as we are yet to hear any statement from them.

Welcome back 🙏

It's not tricky for them, it's just a biased because few countries using their power in wrong way as they have some loses and now want to cover by this which make sense but filthy politics here in third world. Because I am feeling if you have any problem you need to sit and talk about this, never ban or restrict their positive ways for having your own sack. Here my feeling is if ICC ban Afghanistan then their players still have chance for playing in different leagues and through many franchises and this could be massive blunder from ICC.

What about the new talent that is in Afghanistan and still not recognized by the Afghan cricket team nor by any T20 leagues? The long-term solution for Afghanistan cricket is that their government and ICC must sit side by side and talk. Afghanistan has so many talented players and if they are left alone at this time they all will never be able to make it to the main cricket ground.

I guess ICC will never sit with them because they are totally controlled by Indian Authorities, and they are not happy with situation in Afghanistan secondly this is not serious matter right now they can do much better in near future because surely world will organize them now or later, so they can grow as they are doing right now even they could be much better because surely in near future situation is going to improve here. And new regime is going to allow youths for these positive activities in near future as soccer is also very popular sports here.

I am positive about them and their future in sports because I am watching this all for some time, it's matter of time which is going to change in near future for peace and love here in this region after very long civil war.

It is a tricky situation for Afghanistan and their sporting future is in chaos, they had some talented players and i am sure majority of the cricket players left the country fearing for their life once the Taliban took over the country.

Not sure what decision the ICC will be taking in this regard but they should be allowed to play as they have some serious talents.

No matter how much you defend them, it is just a matter of time before Afghanistan is suspended or expelled from the ICC. They should be thankful to the ICC that they were allowed to participate in the T20 World Cup. Other sports bodies such as the FIFA have taken a much more stringent stance. And given the pressure from the big 3 boards, I don't think that the ICC has any other option. Taliban is a bunch of murderous terrorists and the ICC can't afford to provide them with any recognition or legitimacy.

After reading this all I am feeling you are overreacting because there is nothing serious happen in Afghanistan or Pakistan it's just happening in Social Media which are controlled by few companies, and they are allowing propaganda for few countries benefit. And in Afghanistan if they are extremist then please clarify who is in India currently ruling. Right now I don't want to discuss this all but after reading your comments posting this surely it's all about money and power, nothing else. If IPL is possible in Covid-19 just because of money, then everything is possible. Currently, Afghanistan is much better than past governments because they are now managing things properly and corruption is also in their agenda which was never been controlled in last 2 decades by Democratic governments.
