(...) this dude is a first-round QB pick after all!
Your post inspired me to take a look at the QB's drafted in Top10 since 2010. Haskins was drafted at #15, so he wouldn't appear in this list, but you can see, that there are a lot of busts even in Top10. The Bradys, Rodgers', Wilsons, Brees' were all drafted later - only Rodgers in round 1 even - so it's not easy to find your franchise QB with a high pick. Especially not, when you are desperately looking for one^^ Most likely you will find someone who is doing ok for some seasons, but you will have to look for a replacement pretty soon.
I put the ones who I still think are worth a Top10 pick in
green2010:#1 Sam Bradford (Rams), had a so and so career, is unofficially retired by now
2011:#1 Cam Newton (Panthers), had a very good career and turned out to be a franchise QB in the end#8 Jake Locker (Titans), don't remember him doing anything, retired after 3 years
#10 Blaine Gabbert (Jaguars), turned out to be just a journeyman
2012:#1 Andrew Luck (Colts), had to retire a bit early due to injuries, but was a good QB#2 Robert Griffin III (WFT), still remember his debut @Saints which was insane. Had a very good rookie season all in all, but Washington didn't take good care of him unfortunately. Backup QB nowadays.
#8 Ryan Tannehill (Dolphins), after years mediocrity, he finally found his groove and is a Top10 QB in the league now. Going to the Titans was a very good move for him. Without that.....
2013:No QB drafted in Top10, the first was EJ Manuel at #16 by the Bills.
2014:#3 Blake Bortles (Jaguars), did ok 2015-2017, backup at Broncos now
2015:#1 Jameis Winston (Bucs), not what you expect from a #1, too erratic in the end, backup at Saints now
#2 Marcus Mariota (Titans), apart from the 2016 season a below average QB, backup at Raiders now
2016#1 Jared Goff (Rams), still a good QB nowadays, lets see what we can say about his career in some years#2 Carson Wentz (Eagles), if he goes to another team, he might revive his career, but he is probably done already
2017:#2 Mitchell Trubisky (Bears), nothing special imo and is definitely no franchise QB
#10 Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), if he stays healthy a future HOFer, good value at #10
2018:#1 Baker Mayfield (Browns), he is getting better, but definitely no #1 pick from what we have seen so far
#3 Sam Darnold (Jets), I would think his career is already over by now, getting drafted by the Jets is just very meh
#7 Josh Allen (Bills), needed some time to get used to the NFL, but is a top QB today#10 Josh Rosen (Cardinals), was very poor from the start and Cardinals picked Murray in the next draft, already giving up on him, backup at 49ers now
2019:#1 Kyler Murray (Cardinals), he is doing ok, needs more development, but I don't see him being a Top10-ish QB
#6 Daniel Jones (Giants), will be out of the league soon, just too many weaknesses without improving them
