True, one of the characteristics of gambling addiction is to open a gambling platform constantly even though you always lose. People who are addicted to gambling cannot control themselves in the game, because betting is not for fun. People addicted to gambling are emotionally unstable, they will try to get money from anywhere in order to keep gambling, people who are addicted to gambling will experience financial problems because money is used to gamble, because gambling is a top priority.
The characteristics of a simple gambling addiction can be seen from the desire to increase the value of the bet, the difficulty to stop, the dependence to continue betting even though you have lost repeatedly.

I think, addiction does not know a person's wealth or socioeconomic status and has nothing to do with discipline.

I’m definitely not one of the gambling addicts. I’m not trying to denounce or belittle gambling addicts but it’s obviously not safe anymore when it became an addiction. Gambling addiction like any other addiction starts gradually and if not checked or nipped in the bud, it then becomes an addiction. And that’s why we need to be disciplined in our vices and whatever we do.
We shouldn’t let feelings and excitement control and ruin one’s life.

Gambling addiction is not a thing for the rich or poor. I have seen gambler who are not financially balanced but they are still addicted,  playing gambling with all the money with them is not a problem to them .  Gamblers who are not rich all they care about is to always play gamble to make profit.

there are a lot of people in my city who are addicts to gambling and they are not from the rich but they are from the poor. so they consider gambling as a source of earning money for their daily lives and if they lose they will continue to pursue losses and losses by borrowing money from anyone or selling valuable items they have.

So the one that becomes addicted in gambling will be the rich people. And its their problem why they all have addiction because if they consider it as a risky way of making money, then surely they will not end up in such situation.. Lol

In my opinion, the first sign of gambling addiction is that the person regrets the lost money but again and again visits the gaming platform in the hope that today he is lucky and winnings will contribute to changing his life for the better. He comes to the casino not to enjoy the game, but for the result, which often turns out to be not what he expects.

Then, my friend, you are addicted to gambling and you need help. I am no trying to look over-smart here but I have been through a similar phase in my life and I can relate to that feeling when you need money and you gamble in hope of winning. I absolutely agree with you. The main problem of gambling addiction is not unemployment or economic problems of the country, it's the lack of financial literacy of people.

I would advise such people not to lose hope and spend more time on self-education to eventually stop thinking like the masses and find a decent job. Fortunately nowadays we have the Internet, which allows you to work online.

I can only speak for myself, even though I gamble almost every week I wouldn't call myself an addict. For many years now I enjoy gambling and can still take a break without thinking about. There are different ways how a gambling addiction can show itself, there psychological and physical symptoms. Feeling bad and depressed about losing money is one thing, but having physical issues due to excessive gambling is not okay and needs to be addressed quickly, before it gets worse. It's important to control our emotions when it comes to gambling and investing, decision making based on our gut feelings is usually not a good approach. And still a big loss will always hurt our feelings. If the problem is only in our head we can think about more positive things, like how much money we won in the past already. Taking losses into consideration as part of our whole gambling career makes it seem less severe. The big problem is if the issues are not only in our head but also affect our body directly. That can be very dangerous because it can become a chronically illness that might require treatment for the rest of our lives. It's similar to little tics that humans develop under too much stress.

Well this is one of the most reason to show how a person starting to be addicted as I know someone with this behavior back then.

sad reality  , there have been someone that ended in killing people even their own lives because of addiction.

That’s pretty scary. Regardless of where you are from, I’m guessing schools don’t do a great job of educating the youth on how to manage finances and it’s importance. This is the case in my country anyhow. I think If schools would just teach basic budgeting that could go a long ways, maybe instill the importance of not gambling away money so easily.
