Different users have different characteristics when they're addicted to gambling. My personal experience, I get into gambling whenever I feel I've lost big out of gambling and if I recover those funds I can lead a happy life. This means I wager and try to multiply a little. No, I'm not, but those signs and if someone feels those, they're extremely addicted. Someone who's committing a crime because he has a need to gamble and he doesn't have any other source of income, he'll really do things unintended and will put himself into harm just for the sake of gambling. It's like being at the highest level of addiction when you're off doing things like what you mentioned OP because they're really seen into those that has no control to their addiction any more.

Gambling addiction is one of those people’s inevitable problems that even the society and government can’t do about it, but only the gambler itself. If we are responsible enough to gamble an amount we can afford to lose, I think that won’t be a source of problem later on. Because we only gamble for pure fun and pleasure. But when we start crossing the limits, gambling so we can fulfill our earnest desire to win big and become rich in gambling, that’s when we start to resort in gambling addiction and face the future problems that will also arise once we gamble with addiction. I guess discipline is the key not to fall for gambling addiction, otherwise gamblers will end up ruining their lives and their future.

Everyone who gambles has experienced one or more of these symptoms to a degree. We are humans with emotions. Personally, I am not happy with a loss. I also get anxious sometimes when I gamble. I have certainly fantasied about a loss and them making up my mind to return the next day to win. But I usually dismiss the thoughts. It only becomes an addiction when these symptoms persist for more than 3-6months. And when it actually goes from mild to moderate that it eats up the individual from inside out.

Gambling games isn't actually harmful if we know how to gamble responsively. If we know our limits, no gambling games could harm us no matter how addictive they are. Gambling addicts don't actually have the peace of mind that they need. They will always find ways just to satisfy their urge to gamble but still end up being unsatisfied. If your life are still normal and doesn't have a trouble due to gambling, I can say you're not an addict, same like myself. Addict will make many problem about financial stuff related, so you need to take a look with your money management and your financial situation first. I don't think someone who only play with faucet or demo account will become an addict since it doesn't have any adrenaline or interest to play more longer.
