This is part of the cycle of the gamblers once they play and they lose already and they seek things to get back their money after having funds they will come back to make a revenge game which is the objective earning back their losses and once they hit this goal and they see the momentum of the game there's a chance they will take another risk to play more and hoping to get a considerable profit. In the other hand if they will still they continue playing until they hit a really high amount of jackpot before stoping to play or if they will feel tired that's mostly the thing they are doing they cant control themselves and make a set of plans before playing gambling always taking a risk.

Although not an excuse, in my country unemployment and economic distress is the main cause of gambling addiction. Many people especially youths now see gambling as source of income. One of the striking characteristics of online gambling addict is the inability to differentiate between main income/expenses and extra income/expenses. When someone uses money that was meant to satisfy his or family basic needs for gambling, such person is an addict. Gambling with a whole wage or salary without considering the needs of family members is a sign of addiction.A self controlled gambler would always gamble with is extra income that might be used for unimportant or non-pressing needs.

We might display the symptoms but that doesn't mean that we're addicts. Do not self-diagnose; if you think that you have the characteristics of a problematic gambler but unsure whether you really are one, seek the help of your psychiatrist. Personally, I feel irritated whenever I'm being interrupted in my gambling exploits. I mean, if you're enjoying something and in the middle of it all someone bugs the hell out of you, wouldn't you be annoyed? Per your post, that's one characteristic, but I don't feel like I'm a problematic gambler because I never chased losses, nor do I allow my wallet be emptied because I wanted to play for long.
The main characteristic of someone that is addicted to gambling is self-destructive behavior, someone that not only spends a lot of money in the activity but it is also not giving enough time to other activities that are way more important, like their job or their family, if someone is spending some money while they gamble even if some of us may think that amount is excessive that person cannot be said to be addicted if their family has everything they need and want.

There's a chance that having those signs could potentially lead to addiction if it becomes repetitive, and the first two you mentioned are the common scenarios that can't be avoided by gamblers as most of us struggle to consistently control our activity.So the sooner a person realizes that he must learn to limit his desires, the stronger his health (both physical and psychological) and financial situation will be.
I agree, that's one of the important parts when dealing with one's gambling problems since it can always happen again even if you manage to stop it before.

Gambling is considered as wealth building strategy. I personally do this. As I don't have any additional source I find gambling as a way to build wealth. But, the reality is different. It will make the luckiest build wealth whereas the majority will ruin themselves. I've restricted myself several times, but the need triggers me and I once again participate to loss what I earn.

You are just pointing out the cons and negative characteristics.
Just because gamblers are addicted, they will automatically show negative and unusual behavior? That's a wrong impression. There are lots of gambling addicts but still responsible in the end. How about those professional gamblers, considered gambling addicts, that always gamble every day?
In the end, it's our responsibility to make good things out of our gambling activity. If we allow ourselves to fall into the trap, then that's a big problem.

I pity those that see gambling as the main source of their income, I even pity those that see gambling as a source of income, what do happen at the end is that they will find themselves losing. Those are the people that will later be using the amount they can not afford to lose to gamble and become addicted and gambling become a problem for them. The best way towards have a good gambling experienced is when you see gambling as an high risk way of losing money and only set the amount you can afford to lose for it and this can be possible if the person realize that gambling is not a way to earn money.

It's the dopamine effect it wants to feed the mind of that reward system and it goes higher after you reached the next level

Nah, we are not, sorry, I meant to say I am not, since I in person, don't know every other persons on the forum so I don't know how they live their lives out there 
.On a more serious note now, too much of everything is bad, this is what the holy book says.

Gambling too much leads to addiction and when addicted, can attract a lot of problems from family to financial to emotional to health to various kinds of issues, it is very important for each and every one of us to pay good attention to our individual gambling habits because one doesn't just wake up one morning and become a addict gambler, this thing just starts little by little and before you realize it, it has become an issue very difficult to deal with.

Probably because I know how to control myself on the possible negative outcomes or in short, I know how to discipline myself and put it to a limit.
The reason why gamblers become addicted is because of their greediness or even chasing loss, because of this you will become addicted. Self-discipline is the only way that you can avoid all things that become bad in gambling.

Gambling is by far not the only thing one gets addicted too and probably not the worst. You must have seen some junkies that gets addicted to drugs (skiing, heroine, benzos, etc) we've got the drunks that are cool with there bottles, the smokers and lots of others. These are some true and unregulated (except for a few hard drugs) addictive substances that humans gets hooked on and addicted to too.
There is always a possibility to get addicted to almost everything in existence here on earth but we are discussing gambling addiction because we are in a gambling boards, discussing other kind of addiction will be somehow out of board topic.
It's not really up to the platform or the government on how to stop addiction but, its very much about the gambler. You have to be real deciplined not to build addiction but gambling.
But the platform and the government can help lower the risk of addiction by simply implementing and forcing the responsible gambling act on the players. Sadly it is always too late when these institutions found out that a player got addicted to gambling. Another help the government and platform offer is through information dissemination. Government can always create gambling awareness seminars or even put them on the curriculum of every student so that students will know more about gambling and how to avoid gambling addiction.

Supposedly gambling should give you entertainment but since many gamblers treat this as their main source of income, they become more stress especially if they lose the money and those are the bad characteristics that can possibly happen to you once you become addict in gambling. Experiencing such stress and depression is not worth it at all, you can avoid this by being responsible and you should know your limit and capacity. Gambling is fun if you do it correctly, don’t wait for worst case scenario before taking actions. Are we one of the online gambling addicts...?

In my opinion there will always be people who are not able to control themselves and this applies not only to gambling but also to alcohol, drugs, promiscuity and even sports. Those who don't see the line between responsible attitude to their health and their money will always get into unpleasant life situations and have problems. So the sooner a person realizes that he must learn to limit his desires, the stronger his health (both physical and psychological) and financial situation will be.
Well said. In whatever thing one is doing in life, there should always be a limit. Whether you are doing good or bad, once you don't have moderation, you are vulnerable to challenges and disorderliness. Not only in gambling, there are people addicted to so many things in life and it takes a hard work to redeem such people. What influences this addiction to a great extent is associates and the immediate environment of the victim. One you see an addict, look for possible ways to help the victim.

I too lost money to gambling in the past, just because the way some people see gambling is not good, they see it as a way of making money, the reason for spending more and losing more, but once the person understand that gambling is not that way, wasting money on gambling will be the thing of the past. Different users have different characteristics when they're addicted to gambling. My personal experience, I get into gambling whenever I feel I've lost big out of gambling and if I recover those funds I can lead a happy life. This means I wager and try to multiply a little. I end up losing and my mind will be full of fear thinking what I'll do for the next scheduled commitment. This increases stress, concentration deviation, and so many other characteristics that keep me away from others.

Usually people get addicted when they feel more comfortable when they play instead of doing other things. They get addicted also when they absolutely need to win a large sum of money, so, instead to stop their losses, they will continue to play with the hope to win something (and as usually they'll not nothing).
I don't think that is the case of addiction, being comfortable with gambling does not mean that person will be addicted to it. Rather the uncontrol urge to gamble is the sign that a person has already developed a gambling addiction.
Gambling is something of really particular that should be played with many attention.
I do agree that gambling is an activity that needs proper attention, proper planning, proper bankroll management, proper time management, and a proper mindset in order to prevent us from being addicted.

I think being bored is the biggest trouble. People who are constantly busy with other stuff can't be a gambler, I mean they do not have the time for it. Imagine it this way, if you were to be put in a jail cell and never get out, and all by yourself, you can't gamble right? I mean if you are an addict maybe you could try some stuff for a while but you will have to stop eventually.
This is why I believe that we shouldn't be really assuming that gambling is something every people could do, put limitations and that would happen. All in all I would guess that give that guy something super busy, 20 hours a day, and 4 hours sleep only, and he would stop gambling because he can't find time for it. But if he is free all day, and bored, then he could become a gambler.
