Well, good luck to everybody on their bets tomorrow!

We can't all win but I wish you good luck anyway.

And congrats to ty for getting that last ChipMixer spot! If there's anyone besides myself I thought should get it, it was you.

No offense to everyone else here who applied -- its just that Darkstar said he wanted a good gambling section poster, and ty is certainly that.

Have a happy Super Bowl LIV everyone, watching it wherever and with whoever. I'm off to bed now, set my alarm so I can catch at least 2/3 of it tomorrow.

..

What would Dana white know that everyone else doesnt know?  He has as good as chance of playing in Las Vegas as he does anywhere else that doesnt have a star qb or young qb.  My guess is that the patriots pay him to stay, who else is patriots gonna get in place of him.  Draft a high pick young qb and have him learn a year under the goat

Yup, that decision was made when they traded Garoppolo to SF.

Here's a tally of guesses for the Super Bowl scores so far:

nutildah: SF 24 - KC 22
Hueristic: SF 37 - KC 34
tyKiwanuka: SF 25 - KC 51
wheelz1200: SF 31 - KC 35
DireWolfM14: SF 49 - KC 3
willy2streams: SF 34 - KC 28
kingcolex: SF 28 - KC 24
South Park: SF 34 - KC 27

6 for SF vs 2 for KC, exactly mirrors the poll.

Don't think I missed anybody, so if you haven't put your guess in yet, now's the chance!

I only saw this now. Is there a a prize hehe?

Prediction SF 37 - 24

In any case, I saw an interview of Dana White who was very excited that Tom Brady might play for the Las Vegas Raiders next season.

It might be what the new franchise might need to sell tickets for their new stadium hehehe.

No, its not too late, and the prize is 5 merits from me (and whatever else anyone feels like contributing). "Too late" will be about 14 hours from now after I've gone to sleep with the intention of waking up at 7:40 AM to watch the big game. I added you and also morvillz7z.

Yeah, agreed! We'll find out what kind of a football town Vegas really is.

I was watching this predictions show yesterday on YouTube and found it to be quite comprehensive. I don't know much about the people on the show, other than Le Martin (the girl) does a pretty decent job of calling games. She's also rather pleasant to look at. In any case, it was an informative take and I recommend giving it a gander.

If it's not too late, let me sub my prediction.
I will go with  SF 28 - KC 24 (Sherman will get a late 4th q game-saving interception to seal the win for SF). Grin

There seem to be a lot Madden simulations, and their respective predictions populating youtube this week.  Most seem to point to the Chiefs coming away with the victory.  I think it's a Vegas conspiracy.  Tongue

In all seriousness, the Niners seem to need that chip on their shoulder.  All week the talk has been about Mahomes, and Andy Reid, and Travis Kelce, and blah blah blah.  Most pundits are already counting out the Niners.  I love it.  I don't recall there ever being a Super Bowl were the Niners were favored.  Yet, they are 5 and 1 in the big dance.
The official one is the one made by the EA SPORTS account, I doubt they just run a simulation, most likely they run thousands of simulations and then they just average the results, it is interesting it gave the same prediction as wheelz1200 which is 35-31 for KC

Tecmo Super Bowl gave a prediction of 31-24 also for KC, but do not worry DireWolfM14 the same happened last year when both of those games gave the Rams as the winners and the Patriots won so if anything this should be positive for the possibilities of SF.

Shocked. EA Sports knows their thing lol.  Didnt even know they ran official simulations.  Although no simulations will account for what is really going to happen.  There is so much in ay that cant be accounted for.  The one major thing that cant be accounted for is super bowl nerves, some people can be awesome in regular season but when the whole world is watching they tend to fold.  Vice versa some no name guys come out and kill it under the big lights.  I still stand by my 35-31 score though Smiley

Of the 5 big oddsmakers I usually consult before coming up with an average line for something, 3 of them have moved in favor of KC since opening:

Bookmaker: 0 to -1
Sportsbook: -1 to -1.5
MyBookie: 0 to -1.5

This obviously means that extra money has been coming in for KC in a lopsided fashion. However, I'm still favoring SF to win, and will probably put in a wager on them moments before the game. One thing's for sure: it ought to be a really good game, and not a runaway or stale one.

For a somewhat morbid prop bet I would put up total combined score versus number of recorded Coronavirus deaths on that day, lol.

I'm a numerology guy so I've been running the numbers for the big game and for me I am seeing a lot more line up for the Chiefs which is why I did put a futures bet on them before the playoffs started however like always when I do this, there is numbers that line up for the 49ers.

Here is a little example with what I do when trying to work out which team has a big chance at winning.

The SB is on Feb second now when you write out February second and convert it into numbers it sums to 222 and Andy Reid can pick up his 222nd win as coach. There is a lot more but I'll be here for hours typing it all out, I saw this before the playoffs and that is why I placed a bet on the Chiefs and now I hope it comes through.

I might post more before the big game as I'm working on players to see what lines up and which player has a chance at having a big game and winning the MVP.

Dire wolf I love your optimism and that would be a stress free superbowl as a 49ers fan but I dont think you will be that lucky to hold kc to 3 points.  They can score 3 points with their shoelaces tied together.  Mahomes is a beast and will get his points, it's more a matter of will the 49ers get enough points to keep up

Lol.  That prediction consists of 80% trolling, 15% wishful thinking, 4.9999% trying to avoid being merited for my prediction, and nearly 0% honestly thinking that'll be the final score.  In all seriousness I'm not expecting it to be a stress-free win for the 49ers, but I do predict they will win.

Lol I know what you mean but as a ny giant fan I havent had to watch any stressful games past october in awhile so you are sitting better than me.  Good luck on your team raising the Lombardi trophy, anyone other than the patriots again is fine by me  Grin. That's out of pure respect for what the Pat's have been able to do over the past 2 decades.

I'm most worried about Mostert scoring the first TD out of those having jersey numbers over 26 (i went with under for the record).
What he did against the Packers was insane. That power run will be hard to contain and i don't trust Chiefs run D at all.

I took the other route and put most of my bets on UNDERs: total points, TDs, Mahomes passing yards. I think the x factor in this game will be 49ers pass-rushing, if Bosa forces a fumble + couple of sacks he wins the MVP. I also have 49ers win the Super Bowl and i'm fairly confident they will.

Yeah, gl to those playing.

Sportsbet.io have a new promo with decent rewards and min stake (only 0.1 mɃ) for the Super Bowl on Sunday.
I don't see it being posted on the forum yet but timing is very important and decided to give you guys a heads up.

It's a great promo I think and I have some hopes of winning at least 10mBTC Cheesy Those odds (1,01 - 1,01) are hilarious though, but I guess it's not about actually winning that parlay, which seems impossible anyway.

Bolded my guesses:

  • Coin Toss Winner   Chiefs / 49ers
  • First 1st Down   Chiefs / 49ers
  • First Scoring Method   Touchdown / Field Goal / Other
  • First Touchdown Scorer Jersey Number   Over 26.5 / Under 26.5 / None
  • First Team to Call the Time Out   Chiefs / 49ers
  • Team Scoring First to Win the Match   Yes / No
  • Super Bowl Winner   Chiefs / 49ers
  • Total   Over 53.5 / Under 53.5
  • Any Player to Score Multiple Touchdowns   Yes / No
  • Total Interceptions in the Match   Over 1.5 / Under 1.5
  • Missed Field Goal in the Match?   Yes / No
  • Longest Field Goal Scored   Over 47.5 / Under 47.5 / None
  • Total Touchdowns in the Match   Over 6.5 / Under 6.5 / None
  • P. Mahomes Total Passing Yards   Over 300.5 / Under 300.5
  • Last Team to Score   Chiefs / 49ers

Not very confident with the first TD scorer jersey number though, should have probably picked under there. There is not a lot of guys with jersey number 27+ that can actually score a TD (Kittle 85, Juszczyk 44, Mostert 31, Kelce 87). The WR's, other RB's and QB's all have lower numbers. Will probably need some help with a defensive TD from some LB/DE/DT for that one.

But will be some fun tracking all this on Sunday. Good luck for those who join.

I do appreciate your service but if you are saying a college player and nfl player has the same physical prowess you are mistaken, that is one of the sole reasons they dont let kids get drafted as a freshman because of the physicality difference and the need to beef up before you take hits from an nfl player, they are worlds apart (generally speaking).

I'm not going to argue this with you. My point was it would be a bigger draw and a better spectacle than the Pro Bowl and that point stands.

If you want to twist my words around to mean something other than that then you'll be arguing with your self.

College fans are retarded, they are worse than those morons that freak out when their little league kids get a bad call.

Honestly not arguing with you it's just a conversation that comes up every year that's all.  And yes anything would be better than the pro bowl I agree with you.  I dont know anyone who watches the pro bowl end to end when they dont even tackly on defense.  Might as well have them wear flags and play flag football at least that would require some skill
