Pressure has been building in the 'not so free' state of Florida as activists have discovered a massive scheme that likely exists in other states across the nation -- the use of 'blank ballots' designated by election machines to 'readjudicate' ballots by software in large numbers.

In other words, ballots are designated as 'blank' when cast, then the machine software decides who the voter should have voted for.

For instance, in Miami-Dade County in 2020, 68,000 ballots were designated as 'blank' by election machines. In some precincts, the number equaled 20% of ballots cast. In the 2022 midterm election, this number went to essentially zero (400) as activists had begun making public the 'blank ballot' scheme.

You know. Leaving to one side the fact Fox got this hit to his pocket and now with the precedent both voting companies may feel more confident to go for more money in the remaining lawsuits.

I wonder to what level the democracy of the United States has been damaged and whether it is reversible, because (as far as I understand about the political system in that country) democracy is the bedrock of the system.

I would not be surprised if your adversaries to advantage of this messy situation and the lack of trust of part of your population to somehow sabotage your politics in the incoming 2024 elections. China and Russia view themselves as strong and rigid because authoritarism and the crushing of the opposition, they do thing faster and do not have filibusters. But that is not the ideal system, an in order to safeguard their own authoritarian regimes, weaken the USA could be within their priorities.

All the situation with the lawsuit against Fox and the fact they chose to settle for that much money is so bizarre, considering we are taking about a channel and media which is supposed to be doing the opposite of difamation, it is crazy Dominion actually just made history in the world of civil cases and difamation cases.

They ended up paying several times what the company they damaged is worth.

Seriously, do you know how allegedly difficult is to prove actual malice in a defamation case like this one? All Fox hosts had to do in order for this never to happen was to say something like: "Well, if that is true it is a serious threat to our democracy" after their exotic guests stopped saying whatever they wanted. 

I wonder how far Smartmatic is willing to go on their case.

Just caught an interview on the news with the dude who was awarded the $5m. Turns out he voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020... oh the irony!

Hey BADecker, I'm surprised you didn't mention that!  lol

The point is that nobody could find any evidence of the kind of fraud that could swing the election, so they made a bunch of bonkers stories up (ala the kraken) and lied about it.  Millions of people believed the lies, including you - and this thread proves that.  I bet most of the people that spread the lies the furthest were even surprised at how stupid so many americans were to believe them.

Well the republicans put together a hand picked team to audit every vote.  No democrats were involved.  The final report?  Biden gained a couple hundred votes.  And no evidence of fraud obviously.

Again. The point isn't that there was unconscionable activity in the election that stole the election from Trump. The point of the case was the Constitutionality of the election, and that Dominion was slandered when it was said to have criminally handled the election in a wrong way.

Unfortunately the Constitution doesn't make statement that election fraud is not allowable. Rather, the Constitution allows the States to handle their own election activity, conscionably or not. And when the States legalize an election method that would normally be considered illegal, and is for certain unconscionable, such legal but unconscionable methods are done according to the Constitution.

If Mike Lindell or anybody else incorrectly applies the Constitution, those people made a mistake. This does not mean that in the eyes of the people the election was done properly. It simply means that the people need to close the gaps and loopholes in the election committees in their particular states.

The point of the whole 2020 election is that the people did not get the President they overwhelmingly wanted. Unconscionable, but done in a legal way, by the States legalizing some things that would normally be illegal in ways the average people didn't understand. Trump understands this. That's why he dropped the case, and is focused on getting his people to straighten out their States.

The fact that you jokers would rather glory in evil simply means that you are part of the evil.

Remember that big conference thing MyPillow Guy organized in 2021 where he promised to reveal "the truth" about how Trump really won the election with the proof to back it up?

Apparently he offered a $5 million reward to anyone that could disprove that the data his loony conspiracy was based on was not genuine.

He even wrote up a contract and everything with an arbitration process in place.

Well, some guy proved it.  And when Mr. Pillow brain wouldn't pay the man started the arbitration process.  And the ruling was that $5m be rewarded to the man.

I guess that's bad news for Dominion since it means $5 million less for them to collect after they get done with him in their defamation suit.

Since we all know that the Dominion voting machines are controlled/manipulated by outside controllers, the questions are different than what the lawsuit might suggest they are when simply looking at the results. For example. It may be that Fox lied when they let themselves be found guilty. It may simply be that a lot of politics are involved, and corruption in the judiciary would have made things a lot worse for Fox if they hadn't anted up the piddly amount that they did.

Part of the point is in the wording. If Fox said, simply, that the voting machines switched votes from Trump to Biden, depending on how the statements were worded, voting machines, themselves, don't have that kind of judgment capability. Fox would have been wrong.

If Fox had said that voting machine controllers outside of Dominion operators controlled the machines, and so switched the votes, Fox might have been totally clear of any blame in this.

The whole thing depends on the wording of the lawsuit. If the lawsuit were worded differently, Dominion might be paying Fox. If Fox had proclaimed their news in a different way, a way which showed the corruption through the Dominion machines, but didn't demean Dominion, things would have been different.


In addition, things are moving towards setting up precedent for ethical vote counting in Arizona.

There was no judgement in the real world.

Fox agreed to pay Dominion almost a BILLION dollars for spreading lies about their voting machines switching votes from Trump to Biden.

The question wasn't whether or not the claims were lies.  They were definitely lies.  It was about whether or not Fox spread the lies with "Actual Malice".

Which of Fox's lies are true in BADeckerville?  What actually happened there?

It's time we corrected the faulty judicial system. They work for corruption and the best dollar they can get. The judgment doesn't mean that Dominion is innocent. It only means that the court system is dancing around ways to make the most money.

During the discovery phase of Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit against the Fox News Channel over its coverage of figures who claimed that the machines were prone to counting errors, the broadcast company has apparently found evidence that the reports were true.

— Discovery in this case has revealed that Dominion's own employees expressed serious concerns about the security of its machines. Mark Beckstrand, a Dominion Sales Manager, confirmed that other parties "have gotten ahold of [Dominion's] equipment illicitly" in the past.

— Beckstrand identified specific instances in Georgia and North Carolina and testified that a Dominion machine was "hacked" in Michigan. Beckstrand confirmed that these security failures were "reported about in the news." And just weeks before the 2020 presidential election, Dominion's Director of Product Strategy and Security, Eric Coomer, acknowledged in private that "our shit is just riddled with bugs." Indeed, Coomer had been castigating Dominion's failures for years. In 2019, Coomer noted that "our products suck."

—  He lamented that "[a]lmost all" of Dominion's technological failings were "due to our complete f— up in installation." And in another instance, he identified a "*critical* bug leading to INCORRECT results." He went on to note: "It does not get much worse than that."

The upside, on top of settling for the largest defamation payout in US history (and rightfully so), Dominion got all the Fox
gang of blatant (now proved) liars' texts/depositions on public record admitting (under oath) that they were (to paraphrase) full of shit and they knew it.
