The market is not actually going down. It keeps turning in the same level for 3-4 months. The price of bitcoin is likely to continue until it comes to a certain level. If you are wondering when Bitcoin will go this far, you can take a look at the graphics of 2014.

Yes of course. This is a good time to hold your coinsurance you don't want to loose. Because selling now will amount to loosing since the price is down now. The only option for someone is to hold till the price goes up.

Definitely not a good time to hodl with the present down time the market has being experiencing for a while now. Possibly sell and buy back the dips.

Go for low caps like Bridge Protocol, Narrative, Pareto, Bigbom. The list is long. Check which projects you like. For what cindicator has in place already it is also looking dirt cheap. Or projects like Walton, Wabi, Factom...or Matrix AI, Zilliqa, Rchain, gochain, holochain... lots of potential out there. Or for a start just buy Neo

I may intimate you that it is not good time to buy or to hold any crypto assets now. Altcoins are sliding deeper and deeper renewing the lows. I would recommend not to invest in altcoins right now because it is a craxy idea to buy altcoins while all of them are falling. Be a patience person and do not buy anything right now. You may have a look at other investors almost all of them have lost money by investing in various crypto assets. For instance, I have already lost a half of my capital by investing in ETH so do not repeat other's mistakes, do not invest in crypto assets while market is string bearish.

In this bear market, it is good to hold the coins. With your $500 capital, I feel it is good to spilt and buy Bitcoin and one strong altcoin.

Right now, we are in a bear market that has lasted for close to 8 months. No one knows for sure how long more it'll last. It also depends on your risk appetite, and whether or not losing that $500 will make an impact on your life.
- For a safer route, I'd recommend BTC. In such a market, it'd be a gamble to purchase any altcoins. Your best bet would still be BTC. However, of course, don't expect any insane gains.
- For a riskier route, I'd recommend you try out masternodes. There are a ton of masternode coins available, you can find them on masternodes.online. Most of the new coins provide insane ROI and would be good for quick flips. However, due to the low liquidity of many not so well known masternode coins, the fluctuations in price can be quite scary. If that $500 means the world to you, I wouldn't recommend this choice.

My opinion is yours. I, too, expect a lot of growth. I would not invest in only one coin, but would make up an investment portfolio. It would necessarily include 25-30 percent of the Ethereum, since I consider it the most promising

I would advise you to hold bitcoin if you dont have any. Holding at least 80 percent bitcoin is wise, at least for me. Trade if you must to, but be careful. I like monero as a one of the few good alts.
