It's a decent card imo.  This one looks like it's easier to parlay with most favorites winning.  I could still see a couple of underdogs who could win tho.  But there might be no pie shitters here.  And if there was one it will def be Holly Holm.

But yeah, this event could be a great one to claw some of the losses back.  We'll see...

And Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Michel Pereira could be fight of the night imho.  It could go either way.  I think Welsh is on the Pereira side.
Yeah, I've never had much luck when adding more than four favourites to an accumulator. It always seems to be the one with the lowest odds that loses too.

Yeah, I'm definitely on Pereira's side, although that's just because he's one of my favourite fighters in the UFC. If I was going to make a sensible prediction, it would probably be he loses on points, due to gassing out. I think he has been getting slightly better with his gas tank, at least in his last fight, but it's obviously still a huge problem. Although, I'm not going to complain too much, because when he's going full throttle he's one of the most unique fighters in the roster. Always entertaining up until he gasses.

I am not super excited with this upcoming fight card and female main event, but there are few good fights I want to watch.
If you ask me for betting on this fights than I would have no idea who to pick but I will go for some underdogs this time.

Tony is Tony. Doesn't realized yet that he needs Chuck Norris to win every fight of his career.

Sometimes I think Oliveira is punch-drunk. He continues to challenge Khabib to come out of retirement.

He is a champion (I still believe that he is, he did not lose his belt to Gaethji, he has lost his belt to scales lol), he is allowed to do that. And I think he challenges Khabib, I think that as a champion, he does not like when people compare him and Khabib. Like Khabib with 29-0 was more champion than he with 33-8-1. Undefeated champion always looks greater than anyone with 1 in loss record.

Its a long shot but if Khabib accepts it, Olivera is like winning a lottery. He wouldnt even have to win. Olivera mastered the ground fight like its his territory so he belives which he must have a chance against Khabib.

I don't know if you guys heard but Charles Oliveira asked Tony Ferguson to have be training partners, and he refused him saying now it's not the time for that.

Yeap, I've heard that Oliveira offered Tony help, but Tony is Tony. He will keep training alone his weird Kung Fu. I might even say that Tony has wasted his talent. He could have accepted assistance from one best fighting trainers, but he kept purposefully do everything by himself. I dont know how to explain this. Either he is crazy, or "knows himself his body better", or "watched to many movie and wants to be a champ after training based on books and VHS". Crazy guy.

Maybe it is his pride. Ferguson looked like he cannot accept that he is already past his prime. He refused Oliveira's offer because he really thought that he is a serious contender and would get a rematch. Sometimes I think Oliveira is punch-drunk. He continues to challenge Khabib to come out of retirement. He believed that Chandler used his technique to knockout him out. And he was discrediting Poirier's valiant effort on the Oliveira fight while making his own excuses.

It was stupid timing decision from UFC to have mostly fighters from Europe fighting in that time when most of the people are deep sleeping.
They would have full crowd and earned more money if they had this event somewhere in continental Europe, but even United Kingdom would be better.

I don't know if you guys heard but Charles Oliveira asked Tony Ferguson to have be training partners, and he refused him saying now it's not the time for that.

Well, here in my country the time difference has been always a problem, so I am mostly watching replays or highlights, but I prefer watching replays to highlights because you will not see some juicy parts on the highlights well I really wasn't complaining, but if I could watch a live event, even once, I would gladly want to,

And I think if Tony Ferguson would be Charles Oliveira's training partner Oliveira would surely learn much with the standup game, but because of that Oliveira's eye problem he isn't able to see well but he can surely apply those techniques, and I got to admit that 1st round versus Michael Chandler was the best stand up fight for Tony Ferguson, he is in advantage and keeps pressuring Chandler, that will surely come in handy with Charles Oliveira's solid ground game,

And those fighting kittens are ready for me to watch, Amanda Ribas and Andrea Lee, I will surely feast my eyes on those two while sipping some beer, so good luck with their fight.

The 2 of our sexy fighting kitten have lost, however. It was to be expected but I thought Andre Lee would be having the better performance between her and Amanda Ribas. I did not bet on either of them, however, on Amanda Ribas' next fight I will certainly bet her even if she is favorite. She appears to be much improved after she lost the fight versus Marina Rodriguez.

We also have another fighting kitten for the next event hehehehe. Polyana Viana, she was the girlfriend of Colby Covington. He might be lying, he hates Brazil hehehehe.

You truly amaze me bbc.reporter when it comes to this kind of thing we truly get along well, and we surely share a common interest, I really like that from you, and I got to admit you got a taste with certain fighting kittens, and right now after seeing Polyana Viana and that they have a picture with Colby Covington, I am not going to lie, I feel envy for Covington that is one crazy chick he got there, I will surely make a pick for her, and also root for her at the same time, that is really one hot chick that you recommend me here, and right now I am really mad with Covington, don't know why, but here is a spicy one for you.

Well, that's the first UFC event missed of the year for me. Hopefully, not too many more. I will be away later this year, but other than that I'm hoping to catch every minute of them.

^  And the pie shitters of the week are...  Ion Cutelaba and Nick Maximov.  I mean in hindsight putting Maximov in my second to the top ticket was sketchy but Cutelaba def shit all over as I placed him in my top ticket, the breakeven or die ticket.  Sucks.  And I was pretty excited as the sig money came early.  Cheesy

I won some single bets tho so not everything is lost.  On to the next event which looks a bit easier to cap than the last couple ones.  Btw...  Cutelaba slipped that's why Spann was able to catch his neck.

I was Frustrated with Ion Cutelaba's "The Hulk" he was surely listening in his corner, but both fighters wants a quick fight and a fast victory, but that swing from Cutelaba has missed Spann caught Cutelaba off guard, I never really thought Ryan Spann could catch Ion Cutelaba by surprise, I never really thought that Ryan Spann is this agile to see an opportunity, in winning against Cutelaba,

Just watched some of the highlights of the fights on the weekend. Looked like a good event overall, obviously I haven't watched the full length fights, but from the highlights it looks like there was some decent match ups. Shame about Rakic's leg, I probably had them 1-1 going into that third round. It'll be interesting to see what's exactly happened, and to what extent. We know he's likely strained/ruptured something, but to what degree could be the difference of a minor knock to his plans or a complete rehabilitation. It did look like it was the outside of the knee to me, which isn't the ACL at least. I believe that one on the outer which the name escapes me right now, isn't as bad as long as you don't fully disconnect it. So, who knows could be back in a few weeks or months. Otherwise, if it's a full on tear, I imagine he won't be fighting again this year as you've got to factor in recovery time, as well as getting back to fighting fitness.

After watching the highlights as well I have seen something about the Jan Blachowicz VS Alexandar Racic fight and that injury was mostly due to Jan Blachowicz's leg kicks definitely, Jan Blachowicz has that powerful leg kicks, and from that the Leg that has been kicked has not to get injured but it was the knew that is the balance from that kick, and from that kick have twisted Racic knee, and Alexandar Racic has an awkward posture when kicked by Blachowicz, and that gave the opportunity to snap the know of Racic, I really don't know if Jan Blachowicz has a tendency that he is aware that Racic knee would be injured, and if he's planning something like this, well we can not know,

Here are the results of my picks for UFC Fight Night Blachowicz VS Rakic and this is a really bad day for me,

Jan Blachowicz VS Aleksandar Rakic R3 KO/TKO - LOST

Jan Blachowicz was in danger with that cut in his eye, surely severing his sight, but Jan Blachowicz is surely retaliating to Rakic's barrage the advantage of Rakic is surely noticeable, but Jan Blachowicz was really lucky, for Aleksandar Rakic, sustain a knee injury despite Jan Blachowicz was not in contact with his knee, so it is really unusual for Rakic getting that knee injury, and it might be an ACL injury, but I don't get further information on what really is the injury and how did he get it, so I lost my bet with an injury,

Ryan Spann vs. Ion Cutelaba R1 Submission - LOST

A little reckless from Ion Cutelaba, he thinks he can gain the upper hand by rushing to Ryan Spann but he didn't know that Spann is ready for a submission move, and that is how Cutelaba got lost,

Katlyn Chookagian VS Amanda Ribas R3 Decision - WIN

From the strike points and fight stats, I really think Amanda Ribas, has gotten the fight I really think he won the 1st round but then Chookagian, have launched furious shot's at Ribas in the 2nd and 3rd, round getting a win to two judges and that is Judge Sal D'Amato and judge Junichiro Kamijo making Katlyn Chookagian the winner and the only win for this event,

Viviane Araújo VS Andrea Lee R3 Decision - LOST

from start to finish Viviane Araújo was pretty
awesome and she surely got power over Andrea Lee, but kudos to Andrea Lee for that 1st round, she has good at her kicks and just taking the calmness, both fighters were really hurt from that 1st round, but Viviane Araujo's Wrestling Wears Down Andrea Lee, where Andrea Lee, is really gasing out, that is why Vivian Araújo win the fight,

Take a look on that knee injury https://youtube.com/shorts/jSnoBtLX6xo?feature=share

I dont know how it feels, when you knee cracks like that, but I know from skiing what is cruciate ligament rupture is. That is an afwul pain, it takes 2-4 to recover before you could start walk normally and a fear of falling again on that knee appears.

That day I was tearing apart between Eurovision song contest (actually I had to share TV with other family members lol, while being a head of a family), Worlds Ice Hockey Championship games and UFC Cheesy If you watch UFC filler event like that, they arent that bad after all.

10 years ago I saw in person a guy who tore his  MCL on a grqppling turnament and he was screaming in pain until the medics came and took him away. There is no denying injurys like that hurt and cause a lot if issues for the fighters as they now have to take the time to heal and overcome the mental side of returning to the ring after something like that.

The full results are as follows:

Gonna say it, I hate when fighters get such injuries in a fight. Why do I have the feeling that leg injuries have been happening more and more in the last couple of years? I know that calf kicks have been more common in the last 4 years and that causes significant damage, but it's interesting that the majority of leg injuries do not come from direct pressure applied to the leg like you would in a heel hook, kneebar, toe hold or any other version of a leg attack, but rather happen due to kicks or result from kicks and are attributed to an accident.

Nice guillotine by Spann.

Angela Hill is gonna get cut after this.

Michael Johnson just avoided getting cut.

What a fight by Blachowicz, I thought the first round his eyes were bloody might cause a problem for his vision, but he managed to survive and when the blood stop, he's turn become more aggressive. Too bad for Rakic, he's a good speed puncher and many punch landed clear to Blachowicz, but his leg got kicked by Blachowicz and make him injured. Good targeting by Blachowicz to kick the weakness spot on Rakic's legs.

Oh my would you look at this very close face off between Bachowicz and Rakic, I think someone is going to be hit the ground with a KO in main event Grin
My bet is on Rakic to win, he is much younger well rounded hungry fighter, but in reality it's 50% chance for any of them to win this fight, and I don't like this low odds on Rakic.
Good bet for me is that fight won't go to distance, and Rakic to win by KO:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/mma/ufc/ufc-fight-night-blachowicz-vs-rakic/blachowicz-jan-vs-rakic-aleksandar-627345372f9d9d49096cbac7

Lmao.  There was a classic face off with Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman from back in the day.  Their lips were touching each other it was so funny.  Cheesy  Look it up.

And yeah I don't think the match will see the whole 5 rounds.  Both fighters could knock each other out or Rakic could sub Blachowicz.  Teixeira did...  And he made it look easy.  But I'm still taking the other side.  I feel like taking a shot on the dog money with Blachowicz.
