Once upon a time people thought Walker could defeat Jon Jones today proves its just not the case. Its heck of a fall for him. Its a one punch knockout. I think his legs will dance on its own if he had gotten up quickly. It'd be more embarassing. Jahamal saved him from that by throwing another hit on the ground. Lost some of my bets but sure made big win thanks to Hill.

That might be a bit of a illogical statement, if you look at the fight experience between Jahamal and Walker. Its obvious to me that this might have been a one-time, lucky win. Jahamal Hill's reaction to the "amazing knockout" on the UFC post show really just goes to show that he himself was quite surprised about the event. He was not really expecting it himself. Although, Hill's 10-1 wins/losses are nothing to scoff at.

Maybe Walker just had a bad day or got unlucky, who knows? These things happen in any sport, especially a close contact one like boxxing. Maybe its just me as a Walker fan who has the wrong notions but I still see it as a lucky fluke.

Lets see how Hill does in his next fight.
In this case, athletes go through different stages that affect them psychologically, sometimes the state of mind can determine if a fighter is fit or not for a fight, according to this it may be that if he is somewhat low in spirit, sad or worried greatly affects the moment of fighting, of course a knockout is not far from the possibility of happening, for now I would expect more fights from him, not all are good days, the truth is that the knockout was impressive.

I didn't expect this outcome in first round, but it seems hype is real about Jamahal Hill and he is going up on rankings in light-heavyweight division very soon.
I remember how people were excited about Johnny Walker after he come from Dana Whiote Contender Series, than he continued with three wins in UFC, but he is falling down since than.
Maybe next fight for Jamahal Hill could be Magomed Ankalaev, but this will obstacle will be much harder to pass Smiley

Johnny is playing it simple like he doesn't have a fightplan. I was expecting him to do some takedowns because Hill may have that weakness but instead just doing his regular kicks that can easily be blocked by a boxer.

Hill is going to be matched to  Magomed Ankalaev who has that fightplan in every fight. This is Nurmagomedov protege, this is where it gets rocky for Hill for it will be a ground-pounding fight.

Jamahal Hill
Parker Porter
Jonathan Pearce
Chas Skelly
Kyle Daukaus
Mario Bautista
Chad Anheliger
Jessica Rose Clark (Decision)
Diana Belbita (Decision)
Abdul Razak Alhassam
Onama

Abdul is my underdog of the night, an absolute warrior, and I expect him to at least make it difficult in the cage. Where as my most confident picks will be Jamahal Hill, Kyle Daukaus, Mario Bautista, and Clark to win. I don't tend to take much consideration on how people look in the weigh ins, so that didn't hold any weight in most of my predictions.
I had another pretty good night considering I was expecting a lot of the fights to be hard fought for. The ladies on the card let me down, as well as Alhassam, although Alhassam was definitely close to finishing that fight if he just could've put more pressure on with the ground, and pound in the dying seconds of the third round.

From memory I think I got 8/9 correct there. The unfortunate thing is, the football matches I had on the accumulator also came in, so I would have been looking at one hell of a profit if those three fights came in. Also had some of the favourites from this weeks card to bring it up to a 14 fold accumulator. I'm getting really damn close recently.

^  Walker isn’t as good as he was hyped to be imho.  And obv, everybody could see that gets KO’d easy.  The guy ain’t got no chin.  He was KO’d by Corey Anderson who isn’t really known for knocking people out.

Yup, right on the money. He was definitely overhyped in a division that had slim pickings, so it was more of him being in the right place at the right time to get all of that attention than anything else.  We mostly get that in divisions that had a sudden power vacuum when both Jones and Gustafson exited. This has fastly become one of the least interesting divisions. Even HW has more going for it these days.

SBG Ireland head coach, John Kavanagh comes across as one of those who has a healthy appreciation for science. Unfortunately, they do not appear to know how to apply it. His responses have indicated this for many years.

...

Next main event: Islam Makhachev vs Bobby Green.

Green's counter wrestling and takedown defense is very good. Bobby Green outwrestled Jacob Volkmann in the UFC back in 2013. Volkmann having excellent wrestling credentials on paper. No one was shooting on Bobby Green after that.

It takes time to train the cardio needed to go 5 rounds. Green taking the fight on short notice, and having trained for a 3 round fight previously, could mean his gas tank won't be fully prepared to go 5 rounds. The fight being made at 160 pounds could help with this. But TBH its a grey area.

I'd say Bobby Green is one great dude, and a humble person, in my opinion, he wrestled Jacob Volkmann back in 2013 and that is Bobby Green's debut in the UFC, Well we can say that Bobby Green can sure wrestle, but he's not winning with wrestling right now, it is all in Decision and 1 TKO and comparing his fight to Rashid Magomedov a Dagestan Combat Sambo champion runner-up to an Islam Makhachev Combat Sambo Russian National champion 4 times, I really think he will not stand a chance against Makhachev if he lost to Rashid Magomedov, and Bobby Green lost to Edson Barboza, Dustin Poirier, Thiago Moisés, and Rafael Fiziev which I think Makhachev will beat easily.

^  Yeah I feel like Makhachev could make it look really easy.  I wonder that lines are gonna be for Makhachev win R1 and R2.  I think anything above 3.00 is value imho.  Same with the under 2.5 rounds, I feel like anything over pickem odds is good.  All in all it’s another chalky event.

And yup, Walker is kek these says.  There was a time everybody thought he was going to be this top prospect who could beat Jon Jones at the time.

The fight was against Beneil Dariush, but instead, we get Bobby Green, but respect to Bobby Green, because just like you I think this could be an easy fight for Islam Makachev that is a 4 times Combat Sambo Russian National champion, and Bobby Green was beaten by Rashid Magomedov that is a runner-up on the Combat Sambo Champion,

Johnny Walker needs to be free from the clutches of his trainers, or coaches, he is not the same Walker that I have seen back then, I think he needs to be himself.

Johnny Walker turned out to be an even bigger fade than I thought.

Johnny Walker began his UFC career with his coach from brazil. Then he left his old coach and trained at tristar in canada. Now Johnny Walker trains at SBG Ireland with John Kavanagh. Each place Johnny Walker trained in changed the way he fights. SBG Ireland doesn't have a good win / loss record in the UFC which could lead most to fade Johnny Walker. I think Walker's athleticism has improved since joining SBG Ireland but is it enough?

Another fight that I have been waiting for the UFC Fight Night: Makhachev VS Green

Islam Makhachev VS Bobby Green - In my opinion, this might be a hard fight for Makchachev but we can surely see it on the weigh-in if Bobby Green can maintain a weight that is for the lightweight division but I am just speculating, but for me, I am going with Islam Makhachev in this fight, Makhachev is expected to fight Beneil Dariush that is rank 3 but replaced by Bobby Green, I am expecting a great fight this weekend,

Other fights that I am looking at in this event are the Co-main Misha Cirkunov VS, Wellington Turman, Ji Yeon Kim VS Priscila Cachoeira, Terrance McKinney VS Fares Ziam and Jinh Frey VS, Hannah Goldy, will surely post my picks for these fights soon, for now, I will gather information and news on these fighters.

With just several days, Makhachev fight turned from awaited into mismatch. If Green is bad at wrestling or grappling, that this fight will end quickly. He is only blue belt in BJJ. He has only experienced wrestling in high school. I think that is not enough to stop a guy who has been in wrestling since diapers. But lets not only focus on Green disadvantages. Green has a huge will to win. Lots of his fights have ended with decision. He has fuel for full distance.

Results on the UFC Fight Night Walker VS Hill

Johnny Walker VS Jamahal Hill - WIN

One Punch is what it takes for Hill to Koed, Walker, Jamahal Hill is a southpaw and from that fight, he switches to Orthodox style this is really unusual for him to do but Jamahal Hill is one incredible fighter, while Johnny Walker doesn't have the time to adjust from that and usually, fighters do listen to their coaches, and Johnny Walker doesn't really know what has happened and doesn't really have the time to think for himself and Jamahal Hill is one technical fighter.

Jessica Rose Clark VS Stephanie Egger - LOST

My fighting kitten has lost to a submission by Stephanie Egger, it was a great move for Egger Clark have launched the 1st submission attempts but Egger has a good takedown defense and by that position, she has taken down Rose Clark with her power, then from that punches that Egger has released from that submission position Clark has given a portion for Stephanie Egger goes with the armbar, well I am saddened because I really like Jessica Rose Clark to win this, but again this is the women division.

Chas Kelly VS Mark Striegl - WIN

I really like Mark Striegl to win this but after my analysis, Mark Striegl is really no match for Chas Kelly, Round 2 was enough to put Striegl down, I do think he needs more training and it is too early for a Filipino to be in the UFC, but it is good a shot.

Dianna Belbita VS Gloria de Paula - LOST

Another one of my kitten that has lost a fight I really don't know what to say that was 2 wins and 2 losses, and this fight ended up in a decision match, were the match was really close but Gloria De Paula had many takedowns, and many total strike, and significant strikes than Belbita.

Top prospects at 205 right now are Rakic, Prochazka, Ankalaev and Hill who’ll be in the top 10 after winning bs Walker.

Anyway it looks like Bobby Green stepped up to fight Makhachev next weekend.  Fight to watch for this event is Tsarukyan vs Alvarez imo.  Alvarez being disrespected by the books here at 3.35.  The guy is huge for LW so he got the size advantage and prolly the strength advantage.  And his striking improved by a lot.

My Prediction and picks for the UFC Fight Night: Walker VS Hill

Johnny Walker VS Jamahal Hill

Stake Odds for this match was 2.85 for Walker while 1.43 for Hill, this is a hard fight to predict actually I really like Johnny Walker (his old self) right now he is more reserved, I really like the aggressive one, if his coach would want him to be a different fighter they are hindering him what he can do inside the octagon, while Jamahal Hill is a more technical striker than Johnny Walker, for me Jamahal Hill will surely give pressure on Johhny Walker if Walker would not snap out of it, I would go with Jamahal Hill.

Jessica Rose Clark VS Stephanie Egger

This is a really cute fight stake odds right now is 1.52 for Rose Clark while 2.55 for Egger, many really want Clark to win this, and I really think that Stephanie Egger needs to prove herself a lot, and going against Rose Clark can be troublesome for Egger, Clark, has a lot of experience her striking is really great, and the cuteness and sexiness is on a different level looking at Jessica Rose Clark, so I would support Jessica Rose Clark.

Chas Kelly VS Mark Striegl

Stake Odds for this fight is 1.48 for Chas Kelly while 2.65 for Striegl, This could be a very weird fight both fighters have the same records but Mark Striegl's 1st debut was against Said Nurmagomedov a really bad match up on his debut, and I think Chas Kelly is familiar in the UFC and most experience when it comes to submission matches, I really like Mark Striegl for being a Filipino in the UFC and to win this but I got the feeling that Chas Kelly's more advance with his wresting, sad to say but I really think that Chas Kelly would win this, but I will support Mark Striegl but I am staying away with betting.

Dianna Belbita VS Gloria de Paula

Stake Odds for this match 1.77 For Belbita while 20.6 De Paula, I think this was a close odds, but as Dianna Belbita have some great striking and submission takedowns, I think that she can defeat Gloria de Paula and for me, Dianna Belbita is now cute fighter that I like, and because of that I would like Dianna Belbita.

Right. I've finalised my predictions, and I've put in a cheeky 14 fold accumulator with some football games, and some fights from the next event. Here's the predictions for tonight:

Mario Bautista
Chad Anheliger
Jessica Rose Clark (Decision)
Diana Belbita (Decision)
Abdul Razak Alhassam
Onama

According to info from wikipedia, there is no Makhachev vs Green fight in the main event card. On UFC.com Makhachev still fights Dariush on February 26. Does it means that wiki and ufc havent updated card or Makhachev fight has been postponed?

Bobby Green is not in top15. Coming on a short notice against top4. I think everyone already know how this fight will end. Perhaps UFC knows that  this fight wont be interesting to watch and saved Makhachev fight for a better opponent. For Makhachev it is better not to fight and wait for a better opponent. Because if he fights on February, his next fight can probably only be during Summer. Meaning his potential title fight will be in 2023. Not good for 30 y.o fighter. He might become a champion at 31 or 32 only. How many more years of prime Makhachev then will be left for title defenses?

Makachev vs Bobby Green should be a no-go. There is nothing in it for Makachev, nothing to win from it everything to lose. He should not accept anything below Dariush's level. And I am not saying that because I think he would win easily against everybody below, not at all, it's purely a strategic career move not to accept any replacement. At this level, you need to pick and choose your battles if you want longevity and sucess.

OK, it's confirmed that we have fights for this weekend after weight-ins and it was intense main event face-offs.
If you think UFC is paying fighters good money than you should listen what Kevin Lee has to say after he signed up for Khabib's Eagle FC promotion.
He is getting more money from Eagle FC than some champions fighters are making in UFC, so now you know why Jake Paul made that diss track about Dana White.
Kevin Lee is fighting with Diego Sanchez on March 11 at Eagle FC 46 event in Miami Florida.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UycLZUh7Mhc

I haven’t watched the vid but quick reaction...

I agree that the UFC should pay more but did Kevin Lee say how much he’s exactly being paid and which UFC champions are being paid less than him?  I mean would a smaller organization like Eagle FC really pay Kevin Lee more than what he’s being paid in the UFC?  Dunno...  It sounds potato to me.  But I really hope it makes Dana pay his fighters more.

Here are the weigh ins and the results.  I didn’t know Daukas vs Pickett was at catch weight, 195...  That could play in Pickett’s hands.

Benitez missed weight by a couple of pounds.  Onama is prolly my most confident pick after weigh ins.

And Chas Skelly didn’t really look good on the scale and he’s had a long lay off.  So Streigl could prolly get lucky here.  I’m more comfy going for the under tho.

I reckon he was a full-time firefighter already for another fire department before being sworn in for the city of Westlake. This might only be a transfer and a formality of the transfer.

In by case, there will be 3 sexy fighting kittens for this UFC event hehehe. We have Diana Belbita, Gloria de Paula and Jessica Rose Clark. Who is your winner?

In any case, it is good that he will never quit the UFC, and as a firefighter, he pretty sure doing a great service in the City of Westlake, and even though his job is a part of training, gaining muscle is also a huge advantage in being a firefighter,

After seeing those pictures that you have posted my inner self has woken again, I would definitely be going for Jessica Rose Clark that massive win against Joselyne Edwards was a sight to behold, and in the Woman Strawweight I really like Diana Belbita with her cute persona outside the ring but inside the ring, I would like to see a submission win against Gloria De Paula because I think that is her main advantage against her.

Well by simple nature, I have always supported Israel Adesanya for some time, although many say that the fight was very boring, I think that what Adesanya did was take great care of his position as well as his opponent, both fighters fought with their strategy and they didn't get out of there, maybe when they go to the meticulous and the technical Adesanya did better, and although the last round I didn't see Adesanya at all well, the judges decided on him because of the work he did from the beginning, maybe Sometimes we are used to seeing more action, but in the UFC fight, just like in boxing, sometimes you have to use a lot of fighting strategy with intelligence to get results, even though it has been seen as boring by some.

I totally agree, there are a lot of people who prefer mostly fighters always engaging in without hesitation, but for me what Adesanya was doing was an art of fighting, he paid the price when he got knocked out when he was a kickboxer back in his Glory of Heroes days against Alex Pereira so he is fighting smartly in his matches right now, and I think that is one great fight to see an Israel Adesanya VS Alex Pereira rematch on the UFC.

Yes, it was a near draw exactly because Adesanya was playing safe. I personally admire his style because I think this is how any activity should be approached: you don't try to win right away, you move slowly but steadily to your goal, to victory. And even when taking hard hits on the way, from outside it looks like you are dancing.

I agree! and Israel Adesanya is always getting into his opponent minds like a mind game they are more of playing chess than with just a simple brawl and that is what I like about his style of fighting, he is using the distance of the octagon, the cage of the octagon, even the personality, and aggressiveness of his opponent and that was a sight to see when he fights.

To be fair though, lesser known competitions need to offer more to the fighters to be able to compete. UFC is in a position of power, so they get to dictate a lot more. Although, I've been quite clear I don't agree with it, but that's why we keep seeing that competitors are offering more. Ideally, the UFC would change their pay structure to make to sure they don't get too much flack, but I guess it's not a priority.

I'm a bit gutted about the Dariush news to be honest, I was really looking forward to that fight.
