I just checked odds and saw that Colby Covington is huge favorite against Masvidal, and I think he is going to win but not so easy as odds are suggesting.
Not sure if this pay-per-view will pay off for Dana and I am more interested to watch other fights from this fight card, all-Brazillian co-main event and Kevin Holland vs Oliveira should be great to watch.
Greg Hardy is on this card so we can expect to see some KO for him or his opponent.

155lb is the max weight for lightweight. The weight Islam and Dos Anjor are. Islam want to fight in it, Dos Anjos want to fight with a greater weight. Dos Anjos could have accepted call from Islam. Match makers offered him, but he decided to fight against Moicano. Mayne one is running, but they cant meet in octagon for two years. But Dos Anjos is going on an easy way. Not the spirit of the champ imho.

I don't see any reason for Islam Makhachev to run from Rafael dos Anjos. Don't get me wrong. Obviously Rafael dos Anjos is a great fighter but I actually don't see the reason why this would happen. This fight is going to be easy for dos Anjos against Renato.

I think Islam Makhachev is really smart to invite him to fight in the 155 catchweight. Because that's what he excels in. Would have been a great fight between two men who are at the top of their craft. I would really like to see Rafael dos Anjos call Islam Makhachev out after this match.

Well, Islam Makhachev just landed the Rank 3 Spot so I think the UFC is going to make him fight the title match, we can be sure about that, and he already had his fight last event, but maybe Moicano can give us a great fight but I having my doubts for now, well I think it's time to settle down with this Fiziev was really forced to be switch with other fighters, Rafael Dos Anjos really want a fight right now so canceling this again will surely break his heart,

I will surely see to it the fight of Brian Keller VS Umar Nurmagomedov, and I will surely place my bet on the kicking Nurmagomedov, for all the fights in here I am truly excited about this fight.


I believe that this fight is overhyped aswell, for me, I am not really interested in this fight and prefer to just see Brian Kelleher VS Umar Nurmagomedov, but maybe will give some time with Rafael Dos Anjos VS Renato Moicano, even though I would love a Fiziev fight, but giving my Opinion with the Covington VS Masvidal I think I will go with Colby Covington, in my Opinion, Jorge Masvidal will be unknown to me if it wasn't for Ben Askren, the 0:05 time flying knee kick win the fastest win on the UFC, I will not know Jorge Masvidal, I think Colby Covington is more technical than Masvidal, but this fight is just an overhyped fight for me.

There are 13 fights that will be played at UFC 272, but unfortunately none of the fights will fight for the championship belt on Sunday later, but even so, UFC 272 still provides its own attraction for fans of free fights today, the fight between Covington vs Masvidal is the main battle that is most awaited, not only because they are great fighters but thise fight is nervous with the feel of revenge between friends who become opponents, I think both fighters have been claiming themselves to be great fighters and UFC 272 will be a proving ground for them to show the world, who really is the greatest between the two ..!

What do you think about main event in UFC 272? Is Masvidal able to beat Covington ? I dont believe Masvidal is as strong as Covington. Masvidal havent fought anyone from top15 in his division (except to looses to Usman). His best fight - probably Darren Till, and that was in 2019. To me he is just overhyped guy. Colby just need to be Colby. Throw punches like a machine gun and that is it. Funny statistics, in just one round Colby throw and landed more punches on Usman, than Masvidal in whole fight against Usman:D

Yeah well...  Apparently we can’t have nice things all of the time.  But I think Moicano is ok.  Would’ve preferred Makhachev but what can we do.  Lol.

As for the event from a betting perspective, there could be a couple of dog lines in the under 2.5’s that could hit here.  I’m looking at Elliot vs Ulanbecov and Kelleher vs Nurmagomedov.  Most other matches have the over/under at 1.5 rounds.  It shows that this event could be fire works.

Renato is not even in the top. Dos Anjos was supposed to fight a fighter from top, now he gets a guy who has fought a month ago, and most important, lost to Fiziev. Means he is weaker. Easy opponent and money for Dos Anjos.

I remember that Dos Anjos was scheduled to fight Makhachev in 2020, but Dos Anjos was tested covid positive. Then, when the fight was rescheduled, Makhachev got an injury. Another reschedule. Then Dos Anjos got an injury and Makhachev has fought Hooker. Now they had a chance to meet finally. UFC match makers decided different. But from what I've heard, Makhachev and Dos Anjos did not came to agreement on a weight they would fight. Makhachev wanted 155, but Dos Anjos offered interim weight. Either gods dont want them fight, or someone is running from other.

It was sad knowing that you want to watch Rafael Fiziev fight Rafael Dos Anjos but the anticipated thing happen when Rafael Fiziev was forced to withdraw from their fight due to being positive to Covid-19 and was replaced by Renato Moicano, I don't know if I'm going to be excited with the fight now but let's just wait and see, I really want to just see Rafael Fiziev if he can do a spectacular thing in defeating Rafael Dos Anjos, but sad to say Covid-19 is such a game-changer for the fighters, and us fans that wants to see our fighter fighting on the ring of octagon,


That is not a good thing and because of what is happening to the war of Russia and Ukraine some sports with the different countries will surely be affected aswell I really think the banning of the sports is just in the World Cup and not with individual fighters well I might be wrong because it said that Russia was banned from world cup because of what it did to Ukraine, but with individual fighters that are Russian I think it will not get affected,

UFC 272 news update. Uncle Dana has chosen Renato Moicano as the replacement for Rafael Fiziev.

This is a good choice, I reckon. Renato Moicano is a good fighter and he had a high ranking in the featherweight division before he lost to Jose Aldo and Chung Sung Jung then going to the lightweight division. Will this fight also be a big opportunity for him to get another high ranking in the lightweight division? The fight will be in 160 catchweight.



UFC 272 has itself a new co-main event, with Renato Moicano being selected as the replacement for Rafael Fiziev in a fight against Rafael dos Anjos in a catchweight bout.

Though both fighters are active in the lightweight division, the fight will be contested at 160 lbs in a catchweight bout.

Devonte Smith is now fighting Klein, which to be honest destroyed my bet, but at least this match up is much more competitive. I'm actually leaning towards Klein for this fight early doors. Not sure what I'm going to be putting on my accumulator this weekend, but I think Umar Nurmagomedov will actually struggle a little against Kellecher, but will ultimately get the win. I'm going for Spivak against Greg Hardy, simply because I pretty much want to see Hardy lose at every opportunity. Xiaonan Yan I just feel an upset despite my bet from last week, which I've now cashed out due to the Devonte Smith opponent change.

It's sad to see how sports get affected by the political conflict, and this is just the start, things will get worse.

About UFC 272, my parlay will be for Covington and Barboza, feel like those two fights will be the easy money ones. But you know, in UFC anything can happen just like we saw the big ones falling down (McGregor and Rousey).

I already heard...  This sucks.  Fiziev was the guy I really wanted to see most back in the cage, esp after winning vs Riddell via TKO with a spinning wheel kick.  There was a big improvment from Fiz’s match vs Bobby Green to the match vs Brad Riddell.  But oh well, I guess we’ll see him in a month or two.

Anyway there are also some rumors swirling around that Tony Ferguson could replace Fiziev on short notice.  I don’t mind that tbqh.  It’s going to be a rematch.

Russian football teams are already kicked from UEFA championship. Countries refuses to play against Russian football team in connection games for World championship. Hockey teams are leaving KHL (hockey). The world is either banning Russian Federation from participating in sport or refusing to play against them. This happens not only with sportists, who are supported by country, but individuals are also banned. For example football clubs, that consist of players from different countries, but basically are "Russian".
Tennis - where every athlete is an individual. Russian tennis players are persons non grate in France and UK. World again is mixing politics and sport.

UFC 272 - The fight Rafael dos Anjos vs. Rafael Fiziev is cancelled due Fiziev tested positive for Covid-19. Makhachev is ready to replace Fiziev on short notice.

Some news flowing around the MMA space. Makhachev and RDA are trading virtual blows, maybe we could get that fight down the line.  Again, not a fan of step-ins, but if something like this is done down the line, I'd be super stoked to see it. 
We also have a confirmation of Burns and Chimaev and yes, Chimaev is a Sweedish citizen so no sanctions would affect him.
And it seems Cain Velasquez was arrested on alleged shooting (involvement) charges. Now, I am not really shocked about the involvement part, what I am shocked about is that Javier Mendez said Cain is eying a return to MMA. I have totally missed that news, but are they insane? His body is completely falling apart, what are they thinking?

Chimaev is an immigrant or so they say. 

Seem too extreme to really do that Just because their president is Putin. Can you imagine being German and not allowed to play a sport because Hitler did it?
Let's just distinguish who are not part of the war and not punish them because they do have this kind of leader because it's like sanctioning the MMA fighters themselves all because of Putin. It's not their fault.

I don't want to bring dirt and politics here, but I am forced to. By seeing how sport organizations ban or boycott Russian athletes, what do you think will happen with them in UFC? They are a lot of them. So far the US is rather silent about Russian sportists, but it might turn that we wont see Makhachev, Volkov, Yan (Sterling would be happy if Yan would be banned), Oleinik. Does Chimaev has Swedish passport?

I think that Alvarez has a lot of chances, although many say that he has more weakness, but Alvarez I don't see him as weak, some statistics say that his opponent will win, but as I said before, for me boxing has much more intelligence and a psychological aspect than boxing. same force, since if you intend to "Endure all the rounds" or go for all or nothing in the first or the necessary rounds even if the energy waste is very exhausting, this opens two windows, that of success or that of exhaustion driving completely to defeat.

UFC lightweight contender Islam Makhachev has offered to step up on short notice to fight Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 272.

dos Anjos was supposed to face Rafael Fiziev in the co-main event of UFC 272 before Fiziev recently pulled out due to COVID-19. Makhachev fought and won just days ago against Bobby Green at UFC Vegas 49.

After getting word of Fiziev pulling out, Makhachev is willing to step up and fight dos Anjos at 170 pounds. Makhachev and dos Anjos were supposed to fight on multiple occasions in the past, with both fighters pulling out on different occasions.

In a recent tweet, Makhachev called out Dos Anjos for a fight in the UFC 272 co-headliner.

Great easy win for Islam Makhachev but I think we are going to have big problems with UFC and russian fighters from now on.
They are starting to ban sportsman from that country from all international competitions in all sports, and I don't think Dana White with UFC will be any different.
Even if with some miracle UFC don't release them, they can't travel to most countries around the world.
