And the main card match of the night Derrick Lewis v Chris Daukaus

Even though this match will be played best of five. I was guessing that with these two tko machines it wouldn't take that long. Lewis narrowed the distance in the first round and hit his opponent effectively. The right hand of the man in front of him is very strong, but the daukaus was unable to open the distance. He suffered strong right hits from Lewis and passed out.

After the match, he took off the groin guard and threw it to the audience. And then that said, you can use it as NFT and you'll make some money. An interesting approach from Lewis Cheesy

Chris Daukaus seems to have a plan of his own and even though some say that he is just punching without any technique he really loves pinning his opponent's weakness and then accurately gives a barrage of punches to his opponent but unfortunately, that high kick from Lewis has shocked him and for Derrick Lewis to do such feat was really out of character, in my opinion, and with this, the shocked Daukaus, really trapped and Lewis from that narrowed the distance and that is it, Lewis managed to win a very strong performance,

And because of that fight, I am pretty excited for the UFC 270 that will feature Francis Ngannou VS Ciryl Gane, Main Event, and Brandon Moreno VS, Deiveson Figueiredo Rematch as Co-Main Event, well I am still waiting for Main Card and Preliminary Card if this could be the final lineup on the said event that I am checking on Wikipedia right now.

Raphael Assuncao - Ricky Simon

Simon controlled his opponent on the ground for 3 minutes in the first round and tried to stomach more, tiring his opponent. He finished with a right hook in the 2nd round, it was a nice technical knockout. It's been easy for Ricky Simon and it's going pretty well.
Ricky Simon is one of the most underrated grapplers, and has proven he has decent power also. You know, 19-3 is a very good record considering the people he routinely fights. Its a competitive division, and I'd say hes just entering his prime at 29 years old. Could potentially be one of the main guys if he pushes for higher ranked fighters. Just think about it, only lost against Font, Faber, and Anderson Dos Santos. Those are some pretty respectable fighters to lose against, and while he hasn't got the most amazing wins against top fighters, I think hes ready to actually start making that push.

Cub Swanson - Darren Elkins

Swanson started the match very fast, he was always active and put pressure on his opponent. Elkins had a two-down knockdown in the first round. He tried to go to both legs, but Swanson adjusted the distance very well. He finished in the first round. Swanson hardly took a hit in this match. He made a full attack with his hands down and won.

Diego Ferreia - Mateusz Gamrot

In the first round of the Gamrot- Ferreira match, they both had mutual kicks. Gamrot had successful takedowns and if I'm not mistaken, he had 3 takedowns. Gamrot mixed the game well by inserting takedowns. Called open with takedowns. In the 2nd round, he took the opportunity again with a takedown and won the match by tko with his knee to the trunk. That knee must have hurt a lot.

^  Nah..  It’s just Daukas not really that good enough to be in the top 5 at HW.  The match vs Lewis was the test.  He didn’t pass the test.  And it’s sad really...  I like Daukas.

So yeah..  Daukas will also prolly be losing against Blaydes, Miocic and Volkov.

https://www.ufc.com/rankings

I wouldn’t blame anybody calling him just another hyped prospect.  Lol.  And he just left his job as a cop too to be a fighter full time.

The thing is, that's the HW division we are talking about. The talent pool is so shallow there that getting into the top 5 is not a matter of how good you are, but just a matter of time Smiley. I mean, I wish it wasn't like that, but this has been happening time and time again, with the top talent being so much superior to the rest of the division, but actually don't have anybody to fight.

Well, I have to go and bet for Derrick Lewis, but I am not saying that I am 100% sure that Lewis will win because Daukaus does have the potential in giving a good fight to the Black Beast, and after watching that fight men I am sure impressed with Chris Daukaus, he is sure one technical fighter he is always putting up faints and measuring Derrick Lewis with it, but Daukaus doesn't have constant pressure and will always pull back, but again Derrick Lewis can sure get his timing when giving the shot, and he surely has the power in getting that KO, you can not underestimate the precision on Derrick Lewis punches, because most people think that the Black Beast was always relying on his strength alone, but Derrick Lewis despite his slow movement and pace, he can sure precision when to punch, and I think Daukaus did not see this, for me it is too early for Chris Daukaus to face Lewis, and this defeat may come for him as an experience to get back up.

As expected, it ended in a KO/TKO. It looked like Daukaus was too confident in his counters and volume punching. It was a smart move to clinch while Lewis is throwing powerful combinations but he still threw some punches and he paid the price. Just look at how Lewis controlled his head before landing the right hands that dropped him. He should have tried to recover first and then distanced himself.
I was expecting the fight to end soon but i was not sure about the skill level of Chris Daukaus. Disappointing to see Stephen Thompson on a loosing streak and Belal Muhammad came up with the perfect mindset to take him down and control the fight. Cub Swanson won the fight and it was a great knockout as well as i did not expect a first round knockout.

Well, after last week's flashy knockout, Cub Swanson brings us another highlight. These wheel kicks are everywhere! Angie Hill is in a strange rut, she seems to be losing a lot of split decisions. I wonder if that's some mental trigger that's holding her back every time, this can't be a coincidence.

@notblox1. Good predictions. The both of them have won and the both of them are underdogs. I am not quite certain why the sportsbooks made Wonderboy Thompson and Derrick Lewis the underdogs. Wonderboy, we have witnessed his weakness vs. Gilbert Burns was wrestling. Belal is a wrestler. Also, the Black beast has more experience than Chris Daukas who has only entered the UFC on 2020.

Guys tune in to your stream because UFC early prelims are starting now with first of 13 fights Matt Sayles vs Jordan Leavitt.
This will be the last UFC event in 2021 and next event is in January 15 so we are going to have almost one months break from UFC and other MMA fights.
Don't forget to watch prelim fight Justin Tafa vs Harry Hunsucker, this should be KO fat and heaviest fest  Grin
I am staying with my predictions for main card, Derrick Lewis win in main and Belal Muhammad win in co-main event.

Seeing Lewis and Daukas face off, I’m now kinda having second thoughts on Daukas.  I really thought Daukas would be a little bit taller than Lewis but it looks like they’re just the same height face to face.  And thinking more about the match up, I think Daukas should be the underdog.  It looks like the books might have over adjusted with Lewis after losing to Gane via R2 TKO?  Dunno...  Gane is way more skilled than Daukas.

It could be a nice buy low spot for Lewis.  I mean I’ll stick with Daukas but I can’t blame anybody for taking Lewis.

Because of what you have said and what you have observed I think I will go with betting on Derrick Lewis, I feel that Daukaus doesn't have the power on overtaking Lewis into a brawl, and might end up one-shotting him with one punch, I really think that Chris Daukaus is overhyping by the books, and because Cyril Gane has knockout Lewis, they think that Daukaus might be done the same as Ciryl Gane done to Lewis, but just like you have said Gane is really more skilled than Daukaus, even though he has won this match getting into a brawl with Ngannou or Gane could end for him easily KOed, That is why I will bet for Derrick Lewis.

Lightweight   Mateusz Gamrot   vs.      Carlos Diego Ferreira

I see no one has commented on this couple yet.
Ferreira is after two losses and Gamrot after two wins.
Who will be more motivated in your opinion, Ferreira to stay in the UFC, or younger Gamrot will climb the ladder to the UFC Championship?  Smiley
In my opinion, Gamrot has a better chance to win.

For some obvious reason, Gamrot is most likely to win this fight. I mean he could excell more on a ground fight as he could actually sustain and outplay Ferreira's submission style because he is a wrestler that has enough gas tank lol.

Coming of 2 win fight streak is a fresh momentum to have another great fight while Ferreira is still looking to break the lossing streak, and that is something bothering mentally.
Nevertheless, this could also be a good close fight. So, either one of them is a good bet.

Justin Tafa just became a legend after being first fighter in history to miss weight in heavyweight category with 267 pound, that is one pound over limit for that division, simply said he came very fat Cheesy
Comparing that with main event Daukaus came with 235.5 pounds, that is over 30 pounds lighter than Tafa, and Black Beast Derrick Lewis came with 265 pounds.
It's going to be very fun watching all the big fat guys fighting this weekend.

WOW! congrats to him on creating history, but in a negative way, well he is the first in the heavyweight division but he is not the only one that misses the weight in's because Sijara Eubanks and Macy Chiasson ended up heavy aswell, they would still have their chance to lose weight but this is really a disappointment, you surely need to deliver a good record in disciplining yourself and not only just by maintaining you weigh but consuming only healthy food when one is about to take a match.

This is a very sorrowful moment for those people who closely follow women’s mixed martial arts for the sexy fighting kittens show. Claudia Gadelha has announced her retirement. I am quite certain many men in the world will be very sad and they will miss her hehehe. Who will be our next sexy fighting kitten champion?

Former UFC title challenger Claudia Gadelha has reportedly indicated her intention to retire from MMA.

Gadelha recently notified the UFC of her plan to stop competing in the sport, per a report from Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting. The recent story explained that Gadelha is no longer on the UFC roster after informing the promotion that she doesn’t plan to continue fighting.

Really sad news I'd say, I like Claudia Gadelha's, beauty and wits when entering the ring but surely nothing last forever and eventually, every fighter we knew right now will then eventually will need to retire, and aside from getting old, some just really had enough of the life inside the ring, well I think we should all respect her decision and I will surely miss her inside the ring, but surely I think that she is also doing fine and having her only fans account will surely provide her financially.

LOL. Never thought there were maximum limits for heavyweight. I think I've missed the part when UFC announced these limits. I remember such guys as Shane Carwin, Brock Lesnar, Bigfoot Silva. They look bigger than Tafa. Hard to believe that they weight less than him.

I remember there were huge guys in first UFC events. Huge guys like this. But that was more like a freak fights in early UFC and after they made some weigh divisions. But the era of Tym Silva, Lesnar, Struve, Hunt, Hardy was like yesterday. And now a guy misses weight in heavyweight. Amazing how time flies.

Dont forget that Derrick Lewis can eat a lot of strikes, take a good beating and make an upset on the last seconds of last round. Like he did against Volkov.

No doubt that title shot is waiting for Daukaus, but I think before that he will have to fight one more opponent. Miocic, Blaydes or Volkov. These guys either are on top position in ranking and won their last fight/fights, or havent fought for a long time. UFC wont allow them to idle. And only then there will be a new title fight in heavyweights (after Gane vs Ngannou fight).

I surely consider Derrick Lewis durableness he may last on Chris Daukaus barrage but I also consider if those barrage of punches may cause some damage aswell, either way, we can not underestimate any opponent with such speed that Lewis doesn't have,

I surely think if he could win against Lewis he surely needs to fight another to secure a title match but I doubt he could be champion looking at how Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane right now, I still consider that these two is far more superior of all in the heavyweight division.

Yeah that’s why I’d rather see Daukas get matched up vs Stipe Miocic first if ever he wins vs Derrick Lewis.  Ngannou and Gane are pretty much the top guys in the world right now.  And I guess it’s a good match up for Miocic too cos he’ll be back in title contention again or at least a title eliminator if he wins vs Daukas.

Does anybody have YT links for the weigh ins?  Thanks...

He surely needs to, he surely has the speed regardless of his body mass, I surely think if he can beat up Lewis, and just as you have said Miocic is a better opponent for him, but I still do not consider him to make an exceptional opponent for both Francis Ngannou and Cyril Gane, he surely needs to prove himself first,

Sorry, haven't seen any link yet.
