Breaking News for UFC 248 from ESPN and Ariel Helwan!
Robert Whittaker has withdrawn from fight against Jared Cannonier that is scheduled for March 7 in Las Vegas due to undisclosed personal reasons.
There is still no main event, but UFC is negotiating with Israel Adesanya!

I am for sure interested to see Adesanya fight again Smiley

Seeing Adesanya fight again makes it more interesting. Adesanya is a new crowd drawer of Dana White and I hope he treats him well. I see Anderson Silva in his prime when I watch a fight of Adesanya. Lets see who will step up to to beat him but for now, I think Adesanya is the best in his weight class.

I agree, although majority 'hates' Adensanya, but I think he is the next big thing for Dana White and could be the next cash cow and crowd drawer because of all the hype surround him. He is a level above the competition and still improving so I doubt that someone can beat him at this point. He is not yet in his prime and that is scary!

Nah, if I were Cerrone I will not be nervous at all simply because I got nothing to lose Grin. I mean, McGregor is currently a bigger fish than him so if I lose then it's not totally bad at all but if I win then I'm the goat now. If Cerrone also got such mindset, he can now easily conquer his fear and possibly be able to beat Connor. I'm rooting for Cowboy in this fight, I'm sure that it only takes a 1 solid head kick for him to win lol.
[...] the main advantage of Conor McGregor is to put the pressure on the opponent and the only fighter who did not bother his pressure tactics was Khabib but the rest will have a big mental obstacle because of the trash talking and i am expecting a good fight and let the best fighter win.
Yeah, I agree that he is good at that one. But why it seems Conor is a little bit silent and less cocky right now compared to his previous fights (like on his fight against Aldo and Khabib)? This means that he is not confident enough? Huh. Hmm I guess so  especially knowing the fact that he got bigger, if I'm not in his position I will also get bothered about my cardio Grin. Your thoughts?

Why oh why? That fight will be Cannonier's biggest opportunity but unfortunately it was postponed. What a near miss, I want to see more of him inside the cage because he's a good fighter as well despite being new.

If he is not sweating under the spot light and pressure and if he fights his normal fight then Donald Cerrone will win the fight as he has the experience and the ground game to defeat all the top fighters in the 155 pound division but the main advantage of Conor McGregor is to put the pressure on the opponent and the only fighter who did not bother his pressure tactics was Khabib but the rest will have a big mental obstacle because of the trash talking and i am expecting a good fight and let the best fighter win.

^  Meh.  Rooting for McGregor to win by KO...  The UFC would only be a lot more exciting that way.  Grin  And is it just me or is the prospect of a rematch vs Khabib starting to look interesting again...?

Here's part two of Embedded.

I think Conor will need to beat Cowboy & then possibly Ferguson before he gets a shot at Khabib. I am so bored of Khabib now though, his style is effective but so boring. Just stand up & fight FFS.

Notice how everything shown in McGregor's latest vids is him always training in wrestling .  We could see something new at the event imo.

McGregor by submission..?  Lolol.  It's at 36 at 5Dimes.

He can ask Khabib to show him few moves. I don't think that Khabib will refuse that offer  Grin

This is the only doubt i have right now because Donald Cerrone will always fail under pressure, he will shine when he is fighting often but when he is under pressure he usually looses the fight and this is a huge battle in his career and far more pressure than fighting for the belt and how he will take all this pressure is a mystery.

Cerrone is coming back after a two fight loosing streak and he will be well prepared as it can change his career too and hence it is an intriguing fight.

I still remember Conor McGregor challenging Khabib for a wrestling match during the pre match press conference and it was fun and i was really impressed by the take down defense he showed initially against Khabib and he really landed a knee when he entered for the take down, but instead of wrestling with Khabib if he could disengage i think it would have been interesting and coming into this fight i am expecting Conor McGregor to challenge Cowboy Cerrone for a stand up fight, but i know Conor can defend a take down or two if he is not tired .

Even with the loss against Khabib i am sure Conor McGregor does have a good ground game, he might not be using the ground game to be the aggressor but as a defensive solution and he will be drilling a lot as he felt the ground pressure from a supreme ground fighter in Khabib but i am sure Conor McGregor can defend the rest of the ground attacks and the match is really interesting on how the fight will go. Body triangle and rear naked choke. Or left kick to the head since Cerrone does it every time. Betting for cowboy will be big rewards.

See him very differently he is damn cockier when in the ring. His weakness were exposed already during his fight with Kabib I'm hoping cowboy will do the same thing in the ground.

Conor McGregor full extended interview with Ariel Helwani's ESPN MMA Show talking about UFC 246 and more about his life.
To be honest it looks to me that he is forcing it to much, and convincing himself that this was 'best camp ever'

McGregor has enjoyed the good life for too long which largely affected him in the Khabib fight. We will see if he still has the hunger this weekend.
The best version of Conor McGregor will not defeat Khabib Nurmagomedov as it is not that easy to fight a ground fighter of that caliber, if it is a straight up stand up fight then he might have a possibility but in MMA there is no way that Conor McGregor will defeat Khabib Nurmagomedov in a real fight , right now Conor does have money to retire but he wants to come back and show that he wants to compete once again but one more loss and i am sure he will retire from fighting completely.
