If Donald Cerrone is planning to win a championship belt he needs more rest to recover, he is fighting every now and then which will not help him, looks like he likes the term bad ass attached to him so that he will accept any fight without thinking twice and that will not help in building his career as a fighter but he will be making money but at what cost is the question.
Donald Cerrone is coming into this fight after a two fight loosing streak and he had loosing streaks earlier too and this will not deter him from any challenges and the major difference between the rest of his 36 fight in his career will be that the fight against Conor McGregor will be his biggest pay day in his career and i doubt whether Cerrone will be getting another title shot.

Agree. Cerrone  still have a few fights in him, he is not in his retirement mode  yet, he is still willing to accept any challenge that UFC will offer him, unlike stars out there who selects who they fight. His (Cerrone) past weeks can speak for him self on what kind of fighter he is so taking a dive is very unlikely for Cerrone.

He fought for the title earlier but was not able to capitalize the opportunity and now it is really hard for him to get a shot at the title too, so i think he will be glad to take these money grabbing opportunities.

The rumor is that Donald Cerrone will be paid good enough to loose the fight, the reason for these rumors is because they are fighting at Welterweight and even Dana White said if he defeats Cerrone he will be getting a crack at a rematch between Khabib

This rumor sound so childish. I dont believe that Cerrone (or any other fighter) is more interested in getting just money, than to get fame and prove that he is the greatest.

Maybe Cerrone is the easy fight but this could be like when Ronda Rousey comes back just to lose again. Some friends told me Conor will be the easy money bet, but i'm not sure, i feel like Conor already lose his KO super powers.
Conor McGregor might not have the crazy power in 170 pounds but he has the power to knock anyone out in 145 pounds as well as in 155 pounds and he is a dangerous fighter and Cerrone is the perfect match up for Conor to return after a devastating loss against Khabib and i am not interested to watch a rematch between between the two as the result is obvious and i do not think you can land a punch like that to Khabib as he is really careful to avoid is left hand and then if Khabib catches him he will take him and tire him out.

^  That sounds like a rumor made up in some other forum.  McGregor chose Cerrone so that he wouldn't need to pay him to throw the fight cos he's the easy fight.  Lol.

Well, I think that UFC 246: McGregor vs. Cowboy Cerrone is happening on January 18, 2020, and I think this is set right now by Dana White said on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_246,

I don't know if this is what McGregor wants but it is all set to happen and aside from a McGregor and Cerrone fight there is also an Anthony Pettis vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira   match up to happen as well, And a provable rematch Between McGregor and Nurmagomedov if Conor McGregor wins against Cowboy Cerrone and Nurmagomedov winning against Ferguson, I think many are anticipating this to happen.

Very interesting, so UFC is really setting up a rematch with Khabib for big money.
The new management only wants huge PPV fights as they already spent over $4 billion and they need to make the profit and hence the real hardcore fans also suffer with these decisions.

I wouldn't be surprised if Conor wins and Cerrone taking a dive. UFC/Boxing are all in the business of making money know. So probably watch this one on TV though. Wanted to see how Conor's stamina are doing. We all know that he usually gasses out in the late round.
I do not think that Conor McGregor could sort his stamina issues basically because it is all genetic but with hard work he can improve some but not expecting a rapid change but this is a fight that Conor is forcing Cerrone to come up in weight and hence Conor will have the advantage in this fight.

This rumor sound so childish. I dont believe that Cerrone (or any other fighter) is more interested in getting just money, than to get fame and prove that he is the greatest.
It is indeed a childish rumor created by the MMA media and the social media, if any sports person take money to loose a fight then they will face legal action and possible ban, there were fixed fight in Japan and Pride was famous for that as it was controlled by the Yakuza.

^  That sounds like a rumor made up in some other forum.  McGregor chose Cerrone so that he wouldn't need to pay him to throw the fight cos he's the easy fight.  Lol.
It is a good match up for Conor McGregor to return back and get his confidence back and it is the only fight available for him and the rest are killers and a tough one for McGregor.

Cerrone was cherry picked, but this could go wrong. McGregor is once again inactive. And we do not know how much fire McGregor has after tasting that $100 million payday from Mayweather jr. I don't think Connor still has that determination and work ethic unlike before when he hungry as fuck.
Conor Mc Gregor just had one win in the 155 pound division and i have not idea why he is taking a fight at 170 pound and the pictures he released in social media looks like he has bulked up and if that is the case he might be focusing on getting the third belt but then Dana White comes out and tell that Conor will get a rematch with Khabib if he wins confuses things on the direction Conor is going. If Conor is fighting again he needs to focus on fighting with the same intensity he did in the past, if not he will be retiring soon as getting punched in the face is not a great feeling  Cheesy.

Conor McGregor is getting ready for his newxt fight...and posting some pictures on his Twitter.
This fight will be important for us to see if he can still fight, or maybe he can work only work like mma commentator and trash talker
The rumor is that Donald Cerrone will be paid good enough to loose the fight, the reason for these rumors is because they are fighting at Welterweight and even Dana White said if he defeats Cerrone he will be getting a crack at a rematch between Khabib which makes no sense and the tickets for UFC 246 are sold within 3 minutes which is insane consider the way in which he lost the fight to Khabib and yet he is still having a bigger fan base which is really crazy.

Very interesting, so UFC is really setting up a rematch with Khabib for big money.

If Cerrone will focus on takedowns, then maybe McGregor will gas's out. But if he will fight the way McGregor dictates it would be in Conor's favor. This fight will depend on how each camp prepare their strategy and deliver it perfectly come fight night.

Cerrone is not focus on takedowns, he would rather fight standing up and use his leg kicks. So I think that will be his strategy here and try to bait Conor and counter. That is if he will caught Conor. But we all know that Conor has somewhat have a decent defense fighting standing up so it will be very interesting who will dictate the fight in the first couple of rounds.

So Conor could gas out if Cerrone will used a pace that Conor is not used to or at least test his ring rust.

^  We'll see...  He seems dead set on getting that rematch vs Khabib tho.  And if he wins the Cerrone match, he'll be first get dibs vs Khabib after Ferguson (leap frogging Gaethje).  Funny how that works.  Lol.

I will give an edge if the opponent is a striker to Conor McGregor as his worst enemy is a wrestling based fighter like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson but if he is planning to take on Leon Edwards which is 170 pounds division i doubt whether Conor McGregor will be having the same knockout power as Nate Diaz was able to take his punches how about a fighter who is in the top ten in the division, i bet he will not knock them out.

Well, I am not saying that this fight can be possible but I just want McGregor to perish on Edwards's hands but yes Leon Edwards is in a different league and I say there is no seem the brilliant thing that McGregor can surely have a fighting chance against a wrestler in Khabib's kind of level, Well I will not sure expect something like a fight to happen.

It was a short notice fight and hence you cannot come to a conclusion just by this fight. I have not seen many Korean Zombie fights as he is not a PPV fighter.

Well maybe you're right and maybe a rematch is needed so it may conclude that Korean Zombie really have the wits to take on a different caliber fighter but we can not neglect some things he did and the experience he gains in the past and I think he still has a long way before making it to another division.

Donald Cerrone responds to conspiracies that he’ll take a dive against Conor McGregor

“Hell no, I’m not bowing down,” Cerrone said. “There’s a bunch of sh*t going around, people keep telling me ‘I heard you’re getting paid to take a dive.’ There wouldn’t be enough money in the world for someone to pay me to take a dive. I could never look myself in the mirror if somebody paid me to take a dive. Sh*t, never happen.

^ ^  You can't take away anything from Edgar imo.  He took the bout on short notice when Brian Ortega pulled out.
It is true that Frankie Edgar took the fight in short notice and that too for the main event and he took that chance and did not went his way and the funny thing was his hair style as i have not seen him in a retro get up  Cheesy, we might see Frankie going down to 135 pound in his next fight. Now Korean Zombie is calling for a title shot but i think he should wait as Max Holloway might get his rematch next against Alexander Volkanovski.

LMAO the hair!  Yup!  That was my first reaction too.  Still, I think the bout could be more competitive if he had a full training camp.

But I think Edgar won't get any more title shots in any weight class he's going.  His best years are behind him.
