well , for me doc saved diaz .
Jorge was clearly playing with Diaz after round 2, yeah diaz might have better stamina , but still in the match we can clearly see that Jorge is better .
End of story .
Even if the fight is not stopped Jorge Masvidal would have won the fight as he was winning the fight and i do not agree with the stoppage and there is no doubt that Nate Diaz will continue till the final round and even in the Conor fight Nate Diaz took a lot of damage in the first two rounds and he was bloodied and i am sure if the same doctor was in that ring he would have stopped that and we all know what happened, Conor gassed out and Nate Diaz chocked him out.
Because Diaz was winning or the fight was close against Connor. Which is very different to his fight with Mashvidal. Mashvidal is just too good and not in the same level with Diaz. Diaz is a journeyman, he sells fight but if he continues fighting top 10 ranked in his UFC division his losses will equal his win record.

Another interesting match coming up for Zabit Magomedsharipov who i consider one of the best all rounded fighter in the UFC and he will be facing Calvin Kattar and it will be a great fight and we see many unorthodox moves from Zabit as all of his fights we high level in the feet as well as in the ground and he is just getting better every fight and i consider Zabit as a future champion.

I wonder why people blame doc? Nate should have protected himself better. The doc has done the right thing - saved the health of the fighter.
It might not be the best stoppage but the doctor is there to take care of the fighter and his health and not to satisfy the audience and i will watch the rematch but Jorge Masvidal is on a good momentum and i would like to see him fight for the belt before going back to the rematch and Nate Diaz have the option to carry on with the Conor trilogy as Conor expressed his wishes to return.
Yes, I agree with what you said that the doctor is there to take care of the fighter and not to satisfy the audience. That's the doctor's job to make sure that the fighter will stay safe ( able to fight with his/her circumstance) also the additional info is that if the doctor let the fighter to fight even to her/his condition the doctor will be blamed to what will happen after he/she got re-examine. But some fans will be surely angry because one of his interview he said this " The doctor played me, he asked me if I’m good, I said cool. He goes back to the other guy and says the fight’s off.I’m like, ‘What the f***’.”

Because other doctors in another jurisdiction would have allowed Nate to fight despite that cut...at least that's what I'm reading

Nate badly wanted a rematch and won't take any other match that will be offered by the UFC.

"I'm not coming back making names for no people," Diaz said. "Every person I fought, they (the UFC) would say he gets a title shot if he beats me. What do I get? 'You get No 27 (ranked fighter) again.

.....

"Don't play me like you have, and this is where it all starts, I can feel it already. Don't be telling me I gotta fight Joe Blow over here, then say we offered him fights. I don't wanna hear that. I plan on getting along with them, if they get along with me."

Also, Derrick Lewis lost weight and it might have lessened his power.

I don't think he lost any power with his weight.
That Blagoy Ivanov is one tough fighter for sure... never had been defeted easy, and survived knife in the heart

Kind a stupid way to end the fight Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz.
Masvidal was better, but doctors stop the fight in 3rd round.
Cut on Nate Diaz was not that bad to stop this fight!

The skeptical me would say that this is Dana's plan or might have taken part in Dana's plan. He wants to leave the fans unsatisfied and clamoring for more. The rematch might be a bigger pump and dump hehehehe.

Also, Derrick Lewis lost weight and it might have lessened his power.

Lets put aside Masvidal and Diaz.

What do you guys think about Derrick Lewis and Blagoy Ivanov match?
I don't know how Ivanov was able to stand after some of Derricks bombs...
Similar thing can be said for Wonderboy vs Vicente Luque match

Pretty sure many are not happy with the result of the UFC 244 and here are screenshots of some negative reactions of fellow UFC fighters and I am pretty frustrated as well, even though I am frustrated with the result Masvidal did a good job-fighting Diaz and giving him a punch that had cut Diaz, and because of this Doctors had to stop the fight that made Masvidal winner by TKO, but I guess both parties are looking for a rematch, And even though the conclusion of the fight is like this I guess it is OK I think the safety of both fighters is pretty much more important here.
Thank you for these tweets, it's very interesting to have the reactions of these superstar fighters. But not any of them had tweeted something about Donald Trump?  Huh That was a huge news and a big surprise to see him there.

Sorry about the image I didn't have the time to resize it but there are many tweets and I just shared a couple few, It is pretty interesting indeed to see fellow fighters reacting to the doctor's decision but I guess that is for the safety of the fighter,

And regarding Donald Trump, he got a tweet as well that he feels that he is in a trump rally at that time, I guess many fighters are aware that Trump was Dana's long-time friend so making negative feedback on this will surely have a negative outcome from Dana White.

Oh thank you for this information I wasn't aware of that neither of this tweet. I didn't know Dana White was a friend of Trump. Now I better understand why no fighters made comments about Trump's presence at this UFC.

Many got upset in social media regarding how the fight ended. Anyways, like I said earlier, we should consider the perspective of the doctor on why he stopped the fight. Of course the doctor would not stop the fight if the cut is not deep enough. As what I have seen on the post fight, Diaz's cut is severely deep that his right eye is closed and that's the reason why the physician stop the fight to not aggravate the cut.

I totally Agreed Masvidal had surely given Diaz a clear shot for Diaz to take a deep cut like that, Well I am taking that as a consideration for Masvidal, And Nate Diaz is a bloody mess back there I have seen the wound was too deep for the doctor to surely stop the fight, I guess even if the fight would be on another place of ring Doctors would surely suggest the safety of the fighter first, taking this as a consideration there will be a sure rematch for this two and Nate Diaz is not going to rest until he gets one, And taking this fight as a note I think I will look at Masvidal on a different level for now on.

Here is Jorge Masvidal interview after fight on ESPN MMA with Chale Sonnen and Ariel Helwani
where he is speaking about rematch with Nate Diaz, and other fights
I am sure Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz wanted to have a rematch because this will be highest paid even Jorge Masvidal has ever been in his entire life and he will be expecting to make the same amount of money in a rematch and it will be another successful event as it was a record breaking crowd for this event and even the president turned up for the match but i expect UFC to match Jorge Masvidal against the winner of Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman.

^  Yup cos you never really know with Diaz.  He was obv still in the match and not backing down.  Masvidal didn't look like he was gonna get tired or anything but he was looking a wee bit concerned.

Could've been a Diaz submission on the fifth...  Who knows...

With how the match ended, a rematch would make sense for Dana. They should do it in Vegas where doctors would allow Nate to fight even if he looks busted up.

The fact that Nate was still standing after the 3-round beating could have affected Masvidal's thinking also going to the 4th and 5th rounds had the match continued. Who knows what could have happened but we know Nate will still be swinging like it's the first round because of his gas tank.

And it looked like Masvidal was looking a bit concerned at the third round imo.  He already gave Diaz everything and Diaz is still there like a zombie.  Lol.
~
Exactly. I'm pretty sure he still expected a tough Nate to come out but his camp did plan to finish the fight as Masvidal kept mentioning that he doesn't want to leave it to the judges.

Many fight fans thinks they were robbed of two more rounds from that doctor stoppage  Grin

Masvidal won! Diaz was tough as hell (as expected) but doctor says it's enough punishment after 3 brutal rounds. If it was another fighter, that would have been a KO. The more superior striker won.

Blood don't hurt and he also has a knee injury about three weeks ago. That's the reason Nate Diaz said during postfight interview and he wants a rematch. I think it's a good way to see him fight in good condition and prove that he still has the fight in him.

Anyway that sucked.  But congrats to Masvidal.
