Emotional intelligence is the main skill of a trader who needs to master for success. Perspective and balance are two concepts that I would recommend to clearly understand to all novice traders before opening a deal. Past experience has a strong influence on how we react to the present and with this all traders face from time to time.

I agree, it can be because you are getting money from research and investing. it makes the average person feel like they are on Wall Street or something. Keep your head in it and don't throw away cash.

I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now.  I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good.  One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive.  Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well.  There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.

When the market is green, it grows, then it seems that all your life is in cryptocurrencies. It takes you crazy. Unfortunately, after such emotional upsurge, there are often disappointments.

When you start to look at blockfolio every 5 minutes then you are classified as an addict! Lots of apps mean it is easy to track of things at all times, both at home and at work Wink but pace yourself, remember the real world. Crypto can be fun but when it all goes red like it has done this past week it is not so fun Sad
The most important thing is to have something outside cryptocurrencies that takes your attention away, if you are a day trader that is going to be very difficult to accomplish but it will need to be done, the problem is this is getting harder to do since people are getting too used to look at a screen all day, they stare a to computers for hours in their job and stare at their smartphones as well when they are looking to entertain themselves.

We know that here lies the money, and we see that money going
from one place to another and we wish to have more and more. I
agree that is highly addictive.
It is all about the money, without that this would not have much
sense. And value is increasing, so many missed opportunities are
making us to come here more often, and to try more things.
While money is an incentive and it can make people addicted to it, just look at all the people staring at their phones all day that are not paid for the privilege and they still do it, the age in which we live is incredible in many ways, but smartphones have been terrible for the development of society at large, we are seeing more people that are unable to carry on normal conversations and that are more alienated from each other than in the past, I wonder where all of this will lead us.

That's the interesting side of trading, when you get profit then you will be addicted to continue it for more.

Yes I totally agree with these guys. looking to the chart too often sometimes makes you stress and panic if the price suddenly goes down.
I suggest you to put a sell order, leave your pc, and then go out for refreshing.

Crypto is a real roller coaster ride believe me and being a lady, meaning we are more emotional usually, it makes it harder for us to enter and STAY SANE in this space. More of us ladies though are coming in but yeah the adrenalin rush can deplete your adrenal glands lol so you need to be careful. Keep well hydrated and sane when the markets hit the red zone. I am still trying NOT to panic and trying to choose good projects to enter into so I can stay alive and well in this big revolution.  Grin
Indeed, most of the time we're increase just a  number.
Because encryption currency market volatility is very large, there is a sharp rise in means that there is a sharp decline, so if you have no in time to sell, then earn just tokens, rather than money.

If you are addicted to trading, try to find a way out in that situation. You should face the reality and take action instead of going deeper into that condition. If you need help then go out and seek out support from relatives and friends.
But if you are trading sensibly and prudently, that still fine but make sure to monitor your activities and always keep things under control. Don' take trading seriously and always have a time for yourself.

I'm a holder of some coins that valued tremendously high in the first week of the year but suddenly they fall off until 80% of the dip from the highest peak so seeing my portfolio everyday day and every hour turned my heart into the point that I'm so disappointed with the market as continually drop together with my coins.
So now I changed my habit into not to monitor so often and with train myself on checking out my portfolio every other day.

You will have less and less time spent on checking the market the more you get the hang of it and somehow you were now able to predict the upcoming prices of the market charts. But I agree that is can be very fun and addicting because each moment reminds you that your investments could grow bit by bit as we speak.

All investing and trading is same addictive in my opinion, not just crypto currency investing. I've done a lot of forex trading, stock exchange, commodity trading and I can say that all become addictive if you don't control yourself.

You are a beginner driven with a luck. This happens to almost all beginners, you are not the first)) Now you have to understand that trading is hard work but not just a gambling. Soon you will lose this painful addiction and be able to make decisions with a cold mind.

Do not use too much of your time so much in bitcoin trading and investing because that might affect your social life and your actual work or studies. It is still better to use your time at earning real money and friend than earning cryptocurrency, tokens etc.

I think for you not to be addictive on trading is to set a plan or a target on how many days or months you want to hold your coins. It is more profitable when you hold it for long a term because it will have a high increase in price. If you have a target days on when you gonna sell your coins, it will lessen the times you will look at your investment.

My last post focused on BTT addiction. An addiction closely related with BTT addiction is  synonyms to “realationship” addiction. Bitcoin is going to the moon now, as those who are addicted are usually getting attached to all users. But well it must be part of our journey now so that we can make it happen.

Indeed, when you're constantly making money from cryptomoney markets, you're really addicted to it, it's like taking drugs.
When you make money you may show off your results, but when the whole encrypted money market turns red, everyone is quiet.

Focusing too much won't get you anything. You cannot get all the riches of the world in doing so. Having a break is also needed to enjoy what you have been working for.

i totally agree with you checking your holdings every single second of the day could drive you to the insanity angel but checking the news daily is a must there could be some news that could affect one of holding in a good  or a bad way and you might miss it, so check the news and don't check the trades  Wink
