my wife tells me i check too much blockfolio, and its true, just hold and check once or twice a day to satisfy your urges, and have a target for each coin, so when you reach it you can sell it and enjoy the profits or invest in another project.

I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now.  I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good.  One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive.  Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well.  There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.

Haha thats true, and its not only you but most of us who are starters experience it. When I have my firs several tokens from exchange on my blockfolio, I always referesh its value. Even now, from time to time I am checking it. I can really relate what you are talking  Grin Grin Grin

Dude keep your thought flow steady and strong when you are into a business. This is what is going to make you run longer with ups and downs. Nothing become addicted unless you loose your control on it. Nothing becomes special and worthy unless you think that they are special and worthy. You need to update yourselves to provide accurate information and handle trading. What if you ignore and skip the right time to sell and loose profits. So stay pro active if you are in trading as well doing other business. Cheers dude...

Getting addictive to checking the market is not bad at all. As a matter of fact, it is a passion. If you want to achieve a goal, set your eyes on it, and definitely, you will realize it.  Failure is on the way. Yet, without a strong willpower and determination, you will never be able to continue your journey.

That is why I always check the market even when I am outside home; at the cafe, my friend's house, with my girlfriend. It does not matter as long as I see how the market is doing.

This is why i am an advocate of long-term investment/trading of cryptos. You will have nothing to be worried about and have time for other things.

You have got the best advice. The market can be so crazy and manipulated so it is best to reduce the rate at which you check trades. It is best you hodl for a long term and then exist when the value of your investment go really high

If you check prices often it really can become stressful to you. I know it is hard to stay away from the price checking when you invested big money and especially when you bought a coin by some higher price when it's currently. But as my friend says the best form of investment is to buy and "forget", of course in the meaning to check prices seldom, like a cold storage.

A happy middle usually comes along with experience and a higher level of professionalism. In general, all the beginner's feelings are about the same .. so it's normal. The market is not a place for weak people.

Crypto can be addictive if its bull run season. Just hold don't sell anything all of us are going to be rich. Don't be depressed always think positive to much drama for bitcoin but after a good news all alts will follow ofcourse.

Always remember that you can not earn all the money of the world. Therefore, relax, go out into the street, do not get frustrated with missed opportunities and invest in new interesting projects

Well if you look at it every second it will blow your mind.
It's too fast and volatile. Just take a brake and follow periodically.
More frequent when you are buying and selling.
If you do not think about the way your property is lost, instead, it's your chance to invest more with good coin at a very cheap price. Make sure you feel very happy. The cryptocurrency market is slowly recovering and I think investors should hold on to what they have and the opportunity is coming to you in the next few days.

Yes you are right. You can be addicted quickly. That's why you need a good balance. Do sports or go out and enjoy your life with your friends.
Just leave your coins behind and do not think about your coins that often. It's best to delete all apps that have something to do with crypto that you really do not need.
Prices are falling and rising without you paying attention to them. That will not drive you crazy! Believe me.

Yeah it can really take over your routine just constantly worrying about coin prices. That's why I'm looking for longer term solutions like coins that pay dividends and profit sharing. Pinkdate.is is the newest one I'm getting in on, it's still in pre-ICO too!

You know what's good about trading? You don't need to look at your portfolio instead hold it for 6-12 months or even more. Projects and developments are depends on developer they will release some catalyst that materialize more and coins will pump and traders will gonna sell or hold. Crypto is crazy and lots of addiction.

Somehow it also makes me sad.  Cry

But you cannot just stop it.
You will keep on looking at it as long as the value is moving.
Sadly, you cannot do much to make it swing to a higher price. All you can do is wait and monitor it then maybe go with the wave once it rise.

Have the same addiction now.
It is like every 30 minutes I want to check the price of all my altcoins.  Grin
Now, that is all dipped, you would want to check it again and again to get the right timing to when you will sell.
Up to now, I still do that but be careful.
If I where you I would just let it stay in your wallet rather than the trading site.
