Ermm, can someone elaborate, how did funds get to Mt Gox and why? What about all the prodcuts sold afterwards, did he get into detail about his incoming funds from them - not enoguh to make up for "lost" BTC from mt Gox?
So all the 2017 (or is 2016?) coins sold were POST-mt.Gox - so he tried to liquidate lost funds by selling more of his coins???

Just wow. What a year so far for crypto collectibles.
Well at least some transparency from Tim, but boy it's late.

A naive laymans question in regards of law: Hot the f* does bankruptcy eliminate legal liability when there was cleary deception and misuse of USER-FUNDS going on FOR YEARS?

I basically already knew the answer but since IANAL either, I just asked google since I can't splain it correctly. Cheesy

Sounds about right from what I knew/know but I'm not posting it in text as I don't need to get banned for posting AI-generated crap..  Even if it's correct...  Tongue

I'd have to dig deeper into the laws, but I think the last sentence sort of covers your point, KW... Tongue

Mt. Gox? Huh

So he knew and has been s(h)itting on this info since like 2014? Wow. That's just insane to me. I think he will want option 1 so he is not liable myself, have to wonder how many lawsuits he has already. Huh

Did anyone happen to get a recording of this information etc? I'd love to just hear him say how he lost so much BTC so long ago and was not able to recoup it since. Totally crazy. Roll Eyes

And "New products" makes me lol and think of Yogg.. Derp. Tongue

Sad turnout for the Titan Webinar... only 28 people were shown attending.
Some good questions were asked in the chat, but still some questions remain...
Some options were given for reparations, etc.. but not sure what to make of all of it yet.

Seems like there are 4 options for coin holders.... will expand more tomorrow

Ok.. So during the webinar, Tim gave coin holders 4 options.
I did not save the tile for Option #1, but it was for immediate repayment, but at 48 cents on the dollar.
He basically took customer funds and sent them to Mt.Gox

I am just going to post the main information tiles he presented for now.

Although I'm happy that the lines of communication have been opened regarding these coins, I'm not very, let's say, enthusiastic about the options presented.

I received a link but ended up traveling last night. Would love to hear a summary and your thoughts when you have time to lay it out.

How does someone verify the contents of their physical item now with no website to do so? The TitanBTC physical coins did not contain their "1st bits" like Casascius.
No other PK owners care about this?  Huh

I don't.
Some guys there buy stuff not based on some risk management but on a crypto frenzy / FOMO / intuition, trusting ppl based on ....well nothing.
This brilliant mismanagement lead sometime to utter failure.
I do not complain when risk materialized. Why should you?

Leasson learn the hard way i suppose : do not trust anybody, think before acting. In simple word : be adult

Lol that doesn’t make it okay, as if you should just be fine with it and move on.  I mean do you even own any? You don’t have any forum trust ratings, have you ever owned any coins that ended up being scams. No offense but this is the kind of thinking that allows people to get away with this kind of shit.

I can confirm that I also received an invite to Tim's webinar, after filling out his online form.

Fingers crossed.

Please fill your desired email address and one of your coin IDs here to receive the invitation link:

http://www.titanmint.com/webinar/

You should get an email after filling in that form confirming that you're on the webinar invite list.  The actual link for the webinar will go out on Thursday of this coming week, along with a reminder.

If you've already gotten an email titled "IMPORTANT Titan Coin - Redemption Process Webinar Invitation" then you're already on the invite list and don't need to fill in this form.

Coin owners who were not on the list originally and filled out the form via the link Tim posted are in fact receiving invite emails afterwards. Just wanted to confirm that for the group.

@FP530
Thanks for sharing, very helpful and informative!

The Titan Mint website should have some sort of notification and or link to an information page, perhaps a video file of some sort of the webinar explaining what’s going on and how to redeem.

I'm hosting a webinar this coming week to update coin owners on the topic of redemption and answer questions.  The event is scheduled for July 28th at 6pm Pacific time (GMT -7).

Let me know if you have any questions.  FYI, I need to avoid using the word "bitcoin" in the emails related to the webinar because all email delivery services now block or ban anything related to crypto currency so if you see something saying "Titan Coin" instead of Titan Bitcoin that's why.

If you've already gotten an email titled "IMPORTANT Titan Coin - Redemption Process Webinar Invitation" then you're already on the invite list and don't need to fill in this form.

Tim, I’m glad to see you’re hosting these and hopefully making everyone whole who needs to be.

That said, can you address how this will all work going forward for those with 2FA coins who have absolutely no idea about this upcoming webinar.  Will the webinar be made available afterward?

Btw I’ve never heard of any mail service blocking emails for using the word bitcoin. Between yahoo, hotmail and gmail..they all allow it.

In the email that Tim has sent out to registered coin owners he mentioned he will send a recording of the webinar to those same email addresses afterwards for anybody who couldn't attend. If that happens then I'm sure it, along with the new information presented, will be posted in this thread (and other sites).

https://cointelegraph.com/news/mailchimp-bans-crypto-content-creators-without-prior-notice

I think Tim is referring to something along these lines for the content ban. But i could be mistaken.

The next couple days would be a good time for anybody who didn't get an email, or may not be added through the process Tim mentioned, to post questions (aside from the obvious ones that are sure to be asked) in this thread for people in the webinar to ask on their behalf.

Also, please post Thursday if you receive an invite link if nobody else has already alerted this thread.

Edit: this is what the email said

"This email is a confirmation that you have been invited to a webinar series, beginning on Friday July 28th 2023 at 6pm Pacific Time GMT -7) in which Titan Mint founder Tim Fillmore will provide updates and answer questions on the redemption of Titan Coins. This and future webinars are by invitation only and access is limited to current owners of Titan Coins.

All invitees will receive a 'one time use' link on Thursday July 27th 2023 that will allow them to access the webinar.

For those unable to attend the live webinar, a recording will be sent out to everyone on this list.

If you are not an owner of a Titan Mint product, or believe you may have received this email in error, please unsubscribe by clicking the link below."
