For me it is preferable to participate in the bounty. Very rarely do I invest in ICO. But if you come across a very worthy project, you can allocate a small amount for it)
Not going to participate on them so for now I'd like to invest if there's an interesting one. But both can be good for someone that has been in the bounty and ICO market for a long time. He knows how to pick a good ICO and bounty. That's beneficial for him/her.

Well it all depends on your free time. If it is a lot, you can try bounty company. But if you have money with which you can part without harm to you, then choose investment. It does not require much time, but the risk here is greater.
It can be combined. If you have money and you know how to manage them wisely, you can try to invest. Bounty is an added bonus. Although if you want it on the bounty and can earn good money.
Honestly speaking, you are better off investing on bitcoin rather than joining those bounty programs. Investment will give you steady profit in the long run (depends on the coins you have invested). On the other hand, the value of the rewards received from the bounty program is actually unpredictable. The prices might be total trash and you would have spent a whole lot of time behind those ICOs. But if you have nothing to use as investment, then free tokens and those bounty programs are actually a good start.
Just like it is advised that a man should not have one source of income, multiple income source is advised. This applies to crypto as well. It's important not rely on one source only. Combining them all is important. So, you can invest in an ICO (after doing your due diligence) and also participate in the bounty to help create the needed buzz around the project.
It all depends your financial stability. You can start with trading on the start if you have the monies to do so although I will not advise to start that way since you might end up losing all your investment. On the start it will be better for you to start with some bounties and learn the basis and what entails the crypto world and you built on it to start investing.

I do both but not on all projects I promote I invest! When I am putting money I always feel that it might get lose and I will not be happy but if I promote and you refused to pay me then I think one of those scam's project. I don't think it is right for me to see that I can make money by promoting and go ahead to invest my risk capital. most people in this forum, especially in this section are bounty hunters so you will hear answers only from them. Investors are in different subforums.

I prefer both. In the beginning I have invested a part of my savings and now I add tokens to my portfolio by participating in the bounty campaigns

I think if we want to invest, we need to search a good project so we are not waste our time and our money to join in that projects. Right now, it is difficult to find a good project because there are too many projects and we don't know which project that potential to reach success in the future. But we can research that project, and maybe we can get the details about the project, so we know if the project is worth or not. Besides that, we need to know how big the money we want to use for the investment.
Previously, I only bought coins for a long time, but then I realized that it takes a lot of money (I invested my personal money), and in the falling market it was very difficult to earn on it, and the whole last year the market went down. Therefore, I had to look for the opportunity to buy coins without investments, bounty is a great opportunity and the last year gave a decent amount of different tokens. I prefer marketing more because people are the main resource in crypto and it is more useful to join them than to look for the investments and moeny as well.
Do both if you have enough money and time. Funding and marketing are things in balance. We can't mention funding without mentioning marketing, that's the same for the opposite. Investing might give you big profit, and participating bounty could be an additional profit for you. However, some people only did one of them. Some have time, some don't. Some have money, some don't
