After receiving the bad news of Luka Modrić's injury and his expected absence in the upcoming important UCL game against Manchester City the White House is in a tough spot. In my opinion Luka's services are irreplaceable and even with his age and long career there isn't a player who can replace him yet.

Ceballos is expected to fill in for him for the time being, but we all know he can't perform as well as Luka Modric in that position. Manchester City will be eager to take advantage on his absence, since Real Madrid's midfield will be depleted. Pep will put his boys in position to exploit the void in Real Madrid's midfield, whether he succeeds or not.

Fortunately today there is some good news for Real Madrid fans as I came across a hopeful update. Luka was seen heading to Marijana Kovacevic's office who is known for providing fast treatment for muscle injuries so maybe we will see him ready for the Champions League and absent for the Copa Del Rey final and you can find more details on this article:

I still believe that rushing his recovery for this upcoming match is a bad idea. It would have been preferable to skip the first leg and be fully fit for the second. Rushing the treatment could be harmful for them, and it could be even more disastrous if he has another injury during the game, causing him to miss the rest of the season. His treatment should be approached with caution and without haste.

Who says that Inter has been much stronger than Milan this season? As far as I can see they are about as even as it could get in Serie A with respect to both the points and the goals scored and conceded. There isn't really much of a difference between them. Inter has beaten Juventus in Coppa Italia, which I think shows that they are definitely able to beat Milan as well in the Champions League. This is a 50:50 game in my opinion. None of the teams really has an edge over the other team. Inter has a bit more pressure in the league as well if they want to qualify for the Champions League. Even though I think they can beat Milan, I doubt that without tons of luck they could also win the title in this competition.

Yes, it seems that Inter and Milan's performances are not much different, in Serie A they are also not very consistent. Maybe if you look at the performances of these two teams since the group phase, the Nerazzurri are a bit more favorites because they were able to overcome difficult obstacles. But I agree that the match between the two teams from this city has the same opportunity. It is very difficult to predict who will qualify for the final. There are several factors that will later determine their steps, such as pursuing targets in Serie A. Pioli and Inzaghi certainly have to rack their brains to be able to provide the best for their team and which targets will be their top priority.

Most people always like to talk about the odds, but if you look at the last season Champions League, how often have the odds been against Real Madrid to advance to the next round? How often have the odds been in favor of Manchester City or even PSG? These games are often decided by minimal details. Usually it isn't like one team gets totally destroyed in the first leg and can't come back in the second leg. We have seen a lot of come backs so far and it is perhaps the header in the 92nd minute or a penalty that could or could have not been awarded, or even a mistake by the goalkeeper or defender. It usually doesn't have anything to do with events anyone could predict. When Donnaruma failed big time against Real Madrid, nobody could have ever predicted it and yet it happened and turned the game upside down. I expect a very close game between Inter and Milan and the team with a little bit more luck is going to make it in the end.

Everyone can predict Man City to eliminate Real Madrid because their current performance looks awesome. But I believe that Real Madrid is still stronger than Man City when it is in UCL matches. We know that Real Madrid was often in a bad situation, people predicted they will be eliminated, but they can show the people that they can deal with any challenges in UCL. Real Madrid is the most experienced team to win UCL matches, so I predict Real Madrid will be qualified for the final round.
People are underestimating real madrid, i don't even know why they were always thinking like that while at the same time real madrid is always winning more and more UCL trophy. I will not even underestimate real madrid at this moment. Manchester city looks like a very strong team with haaland but real madrid is having so many world class player. The player like benzema has also got d'or. That is also proving if the level of benzema is the same like haaland.
I think that if i gonna take real madrid at this moment compared with manchester city. pep guardiola has been preparing its squad to face this biggest match in UCL right now.
The next match gonna be a tough one as one from the duo milan will be qualified for the final. Ancelotti is also wanna adding more UCL trophy to its collection. Madrid has so many UCL trophies. The consistently from this club is real in UCL.

I heard Pep Guardiola is curse, atleast that's what podcaster say due to his misunderstanding with Yaya Touré and his agent way back, maybe this is the year to break that curse since their next opponents aren't in their best shape compared to other seasons. Real Madrid can't defeat Manchester city, they are desperate for the champion league trophy. Pep Guardiola and his boys has won everything locally and now they want to dominate Europe and to do that they have to win the champion league before moving on to win other competition that comes as a result of winning the champions league.

Yeah I also came across those statements on several occasions but I can't say because I am not a seer and I can't tell if their failure to win the Champions league trophy all these years has been as a result of a curse. This season they have another opportunity to try again but first have to defeat Real Madrid who are a huge mountain in the way of their champions league victory. Hopefully they can make it count or record another failure this season.

Real madrid have not been at their best level in performance this season especially in the La liga they have lost many points in the race for the title. Against Manchester United it will be a much tougher experience and they will have to be at their best to stop Haaland from scoring and Guardiola's midfield machines from dominating the game.

The saying "once a king, always a king" is not necessarily true. Real Madrid is without a doubt the king of the Champions league and has accumulated more experience than any other side in that tournament. However, today's performance of Real Madrid and the performance of their opponent, Manchester City, will make you question whether they can defeat Manchester City and advance to the final.

Manchester City is the team they must defeat in order to win the champions league; nevertheless, they must put in extra effort because Manchester City is not a team to be trifled with right now if they must win the Champions league.

It is difficult to do that because it is typical for Madrid to hold back and defeat big clubs by relying on counterattacks, especially if you look at their performance last season when they faced PSG, Manchester City and Liverpool in the Final.
I think the conditions will still be the same even though this is risky but this is still possible for them to do of course especially on several occasions, Manchester City is a little late when facing a quick counter attack.
I'm not too sure that Real Madrid will use a playing strategy to take advantage of counter-attacks because if they do this I'm sure they will be under enough pressure to beat Manchester City. Because Manchester has the quality of defenders who are quite solid in their defense, so if counterattacks become a mainstay of Real Madrid then it will have a less solid effect in winning.

I think this match will be quite hot at the Bernabeu stadium because Pep Guardiola will try his team to play better than what they have done so far. They don't want to repeat mistakes like last season.

Everyone has been making predictions but to be honest, Madrid can lose this phase and so does Manchester City, the reason why I think Real Madrid will lose this Semifinal is attributed to the performance of Manchester City, these guys have been playing great games, no loses and Real Madrid has been doing off and on matches without any form of consistency and the reasons Real Madrid may likely win this round is because they have done it before, Real Madrid trash Manchester City even when they put in all their effort.

Everyone has their own perspective on this, especially the fans who are sure to say that their club is the strongest, whether it's Madrid or Manchester City with their respective advantages mentioned. But in this case it is clear that the conditions are not that simple because both of them still have the same opportunity, whether it's Manchester City or Madrid, they have their own advantages and disadvantages at this time.

Real Madrid have completed all position except with center forward where Karim Benzema not have compete back up, for midfielder have many players between main and substitute with the same quality. For midfielder, Madrid has many option and there are not difficult if Modric or Toni Kroos have absent. But difference against Manchester City exactly Haaland, I worry who will give huge pressure for this player will enough with Militao or Madrid need use three center defender from Miliato, Alaba and Rudiger how to make Haaland can't have space for scoring goals.

Manchester City performance this season difference than last season performance where Real  Madrid success eliminated them on semifinal stage.

The problem is not just one player, but Manchester City's style of play itself. They are very fast, and English football in general is like that, but you are right, in the past Real Madrid did well with that, but I think the situation is completely different now, Manchester City as a whole has become stronger, even without the presence of Haaland, it will be a difficult match, but very interesting
The Champions League match between Real Madrid and Manchester City will not be easy for Manchester City as many people has thought. This is because the same style of football, which you say that Manchester City play is the same type of ball that Madrid plays also.
If you look at both teams, they all play forward passes and they are also fast and they have very good finishers and good midfeeders.
It is really going to be a difficult one for Manchester City even if Bookmakers have chosen them to be the favourites.

I haven't looked at the odds the bookies are giving me yet, I thought I would do that closer to the match. But still, I didn't say it would be an easy match for Manchester City. Yes, it will be a challenge for both teams, but I only compared the line-ups and suggested that maybe MC will win. And it will be great, an English team in a final against an Italian one, this kind of football will be much more interesting than another final against Madrid which is already boring, it makes the Champions League boring

Real Madrid should control the games against Manchester City and as possible have dominance in midfielder area,
Well, i don't think Real Madrid are going to control the game against Manchester City, in last season's SF when the both sides squared off, City controlled the game for the both legs, and still did not win. I don't think any football side can control the game against Manchester City, you just have to come up with a different game plan, and last season Real Madrid chose to hit City on the counter attack, which they were successful at.

Having said that, i don't expect Real Madrid to seek complete dominance against City, they will be patient and wait for their time on the counter attack, but i think it is City that would progress to the final this time around, they definitely must have learnt their lessons from last season and i am pretty sure they'd not allow it to repeat again this time around.

I see Manchester City becoming the dominant side in this game instead of Real Madrid, they got more formidable midfield and wingers to operate in this game more than Madrid do, but in other hands Real Madrid is well known for their ability to contain any amount of pressure coming from their opponent side which they did during the second leg match between them and Chelsea in the first half game and would finally sort their way out in winning at the end.
Ancelotti well known have a counter attack masterclass.

If by then manchester city had the possession and pushing all the time then ancelotti might winning it at the end of the game ... im pretty sure about it.
Manchester city and pep cant be overconfident being favorited by the bookies and everyone else.

The counterattack is the only thing Real Madrid knows how to do better because they have more experience; however, Manchester City is also good at attacking now that they signed Haaland, and the plan has worked for them so far this season.

The Semi-Finals are a battle of Champions because both Real Madrid and Manchester City have experienced coaches who use different tactics to win games, making it difficult to predict, but this season, I believe Manchester City will eliminate the defending Champions.

Manchester City game last season was quite different from this season and the changes that have occurred in their squad have really changed quite a this season. they have a pretty good attacker and a pretty strong line of defense. we can compare last season's SF with this season but I expect the results will be much different. for Manchester City they want to show their best quality in the Champions League this season, they never view the opponents they face as a weak team because in terms of playing Manchester City always presses opponents from the early minutes to the last minutes.

I believe that Real Madrid is difficult to beat in the Champions League, but all the efforts that have been made by Manchester City so far, I predict that they can overcome Real Madrid strength in the meeting later.

i agree with you on man city controlling the the game, but real madrid a very tricky and dangerous kind of team, especially in the champions league.
They also have a lot of talented players, there attackers are very smart as well.
Man city can only advance if dey keep cool and avoid make any silly mistakes, cause madrid must surely punish them for it if they do.

It is not possible for Real Madrid to control and donate the game against Manchester City, but what exactly do we mean by the term Control? Real Madrid is not a team that plays on a lot of possession. That is not their way of playing and they are not at their best at it. They will let City play far forward and will watch for small individual mistakes and then strike on the counter. It is often said of Real Madrid that they can only counter, but of course they can do much more than just counter. The counter part has been elevated by art by Real Madrid and last year things went wrong for City in a completely different way. What happened then in the match Real Madrid - Manchester City is still incomprehensible.
Manchester city will on their best performance on that day. They will dominate the match but might not be able to win the match. If they can resist Real Madrid strikers then I must say that they will succeed in winning Real Madrid.

Real Madrid will use their own strategy to overcome Manchester city game because if they are determined, they always have a way of winning. Vinicius and Benzema are good strikers that should be watched out for. I think this should be an opportunity for Manchester city to payback Real Madrid in their own coin and win the league. This is the first time they will feature in the semifinals,it shows that they have improved in the league.
Manchester City vs Real Madrid is going to be very interesting match that can not be predict. Real Madrid has more experience in Champions league that can be advantage for over  Manchester City,  it is not still a guarantee that Real Madrid will easily win it based on the experience they have in Champions league.

Manchester City are still the favourite for the Champions League title by a big odd margin. It isn't surprising to see at all as it has been the same since beginning of the first games here. They are going to need to get past technically the biggest obstacle among the teams remaining in the tournament. Real Madrid are literally the king around here as you know.

Manchester City were strong in the previous season as well maybe but now there is still a significant level of difference. Haaland's impact is big and he will be their best card against Real Madrid to have their revenge.
Manchester City last season also had the advantage and almost qualified for the final. Even Man City won in the first leg and even in the second leg Man City had the advantage until the 90th minute. But Madrid turned things around at the end of the game in extra minutes in the second leg match. which made Man City have to give up to fall in the semi-finals.

but this time it looks like Man City also has Haaland who is always hungry to score goals. So that Man City's attack line this season is even better than last season. while Real Madrid seems to be holding on with their strongest squad like last season.
Manchester City team is very promising this time, there is a good chance of securing the victory of this team in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Because Manchester City is progressing remarkably in the Premier League. However, if Manchester City wants to secure the victory with Real Madrid, they will have to apply great strategy.

Predicting the result of the match between Manchester City and Real Madrid is really hard and Manchester City can have a higher chance because of the recent games we saw from this team and they beat many strong teams like Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the last weeks with good result but in the other hand Real Madrid is a team with Carlo Ancelotti and he is very famous for this experience in the champions league.

Of course it's a big benefit, but with their age I'm also worried. The history of the game is quite balanced. Every game at home, Madrid and Man City always win. This is worrying because Madrid's second leg has to go to England. Man City today is much different to last season. Anceloti must be vigilant, they must lock Haaland. In addition, Madrid's central midfielder must be able to control the midfield so that Man City midfielders are not easy to build an attack.
Real Madrid? They're facing a colossal challenge against Man City, folks. But as they say – the bigger the risk, the bigger the payoff! And snagging the Champions League trophy? Absolutely worth it.

Now, to up their winning odds, Real Madrid's gotta fortify their defense. Haaland? A force of nature. But if Madrid's defenders cage him, victory's within reach. And don't forget De Bruyne – his assists are legendary. So keep him in check, and Haaland won't score those winning shots.

Don't forget City still have Silva. in the first leg against Bayern, Silva really played brilliantly. in fact, he contributed 1 goal and 1 assist, he completely overwhelmed the Bayern defense players. so, it's not just De Bruyne who Madrid has to watch out for. in fact, Rodri can contribute in terms of scoring goals when he has the opportunity.
for sure, Madrid must be wary of City players and not just how to stop Haaland. Pep is well aware that some of their core players will be marked strictly. but as we know, Pep is a very intelligent coach. he will devise scenarios, tactics and plans so that his team is able to overthrow the champions in the Champions League competition. to be sure, City is a team that always rely on tactics. to be honest, even though the first leg will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu, City will be difficult for El Real to overthrow.

I'm sure, I'm pretty sure, Don Carlo was well aware of that. but after all, Madrid is a team that is highly respected by its opponents in this competition. what is certain, Don Carlo and his team will present their best version of the game to get the desired result. The meeting between these two teams should have been in the final round, unfortunately they met in the semifinals.

What do you football fans think in the semi-finals of the Champions League between Real Madrid and Manchester City? I see both teams as very strong. However, Real Madrid's striker Karim Benzema is ahead in terms of strategy and experience. On the other hand, Manchester City's Arling Halland is in one of the best forms. It will be a really great match.
I think Haaland is a better striker than Benzema, the difference is not that clear, and anyone can say one is better than the other, but I feel like Haaland is scoring with his own merit a lot as well whereas Benzema knows positioning amazingly well and gets great passes from his teammates to score those goals. This is of course just a guess and maybe Benzema could be better, depends on who you are asking.

But when we compare the teams with each other, I see City as the better team, specially this year, last year people thought the same and Real managed to win by last minute goals, this season we have a few better players on top of that and a small changes but one biggest change is that City now has Haaland instead of Jesus, that's a big change and should put them ahead.
