I'm thinking the same thing about this group, I mean I'm not entirely sure who's going to qualify for the next round yet. Maybe INter Milan are stronger than the 3 clubs here, but that's no guarantee, because I think there will be a lot of surprises in each encounter.
Real Sociedad and Salzburg are not to be underestimated, and Benfica is no exception. I think all the clubs will try to topple each other because in terms of chances I see no significant difference between the clubs and it could come down to goal productivity at the end.
Benfica and Inter look like the favorites in this group, it will not be easy to fight such teams. Perhaps Salzburg or Sociedad will try to surprise us, but it will not be easy. Most likely they will compete with each other for the LE. Sociedad played three out of four La Liga matches in a draw with not the strongest rivals, and it is difficult to evaluate Salzburg by the their championship, they are now in the lead, but we will see how competitive it is from the results of the group stage.

If Barcelona should fail in this group stage, I will never take them serious again because I am having doubt on the quality of this grouping, some teams were favour while some clubs are left with nothing but another thing that beg the question about this group selection is the small teams they are grouping with the big guys, how on earth do they expect this teams to qualify even when I understand that it's a league for the champions, just looking at the origin of some teams, they wouldn't spend more than 3 matches in the Champions League.
This is why it is called the champions league, because it is believed that every club that qualifies for this league is a champion and are the best from their various leagues. If they put all the small clubs together in one group, they wouldn't all feel the pressure of playing with a big club and any of the that qualifies to the round of 16,will be defeated easily by a club stronger than them. But if they play with big clubs in the group stage, any of them that manage to reach the round of 16,wouldn't be scared to put in their best no matter how big their opponent is. In this league, every club is equal in grouping but not in performance.

The two teams that competed in the quarter-finals last season, namely Benfica and Inter, will be in group D for this season's Champions League. Both will be accompanied by Salzburg and Real Sociedad, who are also newcomers this season. If we look at the competition in Group D, it is very likely that Inter will win the group and for the runners up it will be a battle for the other 3 teams. I'm not underestimating Benfica but Real Sociedad and Salzburg were also quite competent in domestic league competition last season so anything can still happen. It seems that group D will also be quite a surprising group and in my opinion the ones who will qualify for the next round are Inter and Real Sociedad.
Agree with you, it seems that Inter and Real Sociedad will try to attract attention, especially Real Sociedad whose existence cannot be underestimated. They can still show strong competition, especially in the UCL. Real Sociedad will be motivated. At least if you qualify as runner-up, that is quite an ordinary achievement. Benfica and RB Salzburg are also clearly clubs that are difficult to predict how Benfica and Inter will always be regular UCL clubs. However, for this season I tried to choose Inter and Real Sociedad as the favorite clubs in Group D.
I also think Inter will take first place. As for the second place I think it could be Benfica, but Salzburg also have the possibility to compete for that. The fact that Real Sociedad will not be able to compete in this group is a fact. That leaves three clubs that will fight for the first two places.

I'm not really sure who will be the winner in this group, it will be between Inter Milan and Benfica, maybe Inter Milan will be stronger than Benfica moreover, currently Inter Milan is performing quite well in domestic competitions, they have won all three matches they have played and have not conceded a goal but Benfica will always be a team that cannot be underestimated and in this competition, the team can appear different, stronger or vice versa, but I am quite sure that the two teams who will qualify and play in the knockout stages are Inter and Benfica while Salzburg and Real Sociedad will be very doubtful about their appearance in the champions league.
But if these two teams which is considered weak compared to the other two teams can overcome the match against the superior teams, maybe we will see a stronger team get eliminated early, and that is the beauty of this tournament and is also awaited by many football fans.

Last season, I predicted that Inter would be defeated by Benfica. but the fact is that Inzaghi was able to work around his strategy, which in the end Benfica had to fall over Inter Milan. This season there are several Benfica players who have left, so I don't really know how they are currently performing. However, referring to the domestic league, Benfica remains the team in the top four of the standings. So, it's interesting for us to wait.
while for Real Sociedad, I don't have a picture for the squad for this team from the Spanish league. I don't mean to underestimate them, but it seems difficult for Sociedad to compete to be runners up or group winners. while for Salzburg, it's the same as Real Sociedad. these two teams, have to work hard to compete in the Group D phase.

As for Inter Milan, they should be able to carry out their matches in this competition as they did in domestic competitions. Currently Inter is at the top of the Serie A standings, there is a big possibility that Inter will win the group. But, this is only assumption and temporary speculation. to find out more, we must follow him.

It looks like Barcelona will finally put an end to their bad streak of not qualifying from the group stage. Because Antwerp, Porto and Shakhtar all are teams that they can defeat comfortably on paper. Maybe Porto can make more difficulties than the others but Barcelona should still be able to finish the group in 1st place.

It was really worrying to see Barcelona struggling that much for like two seasons. If they fail once again Xavi would be highly criticized and it might even affect his future at the team.

But they shouldn't fail in a group like this. The worst case scenario must be their advancing to next round by finishing as 2nd.

You really expected Barcelona to pass through the hook and line of Bayern and Inter without been pin in that zone, no way Barcelona was going to pass through the group stage last season because those two teams have inbuilt Bazooka in them last season. This season, seams the board director of Champions League tampered mercy with Barcelona because these teams in Barcelona group stage looks like people that will not go pass knockout stage incase any of the 3 make it out with Barcelona to the group of 16.

This situation puts pressure on Erik Ten Hag to look for other strategic ways so that Harry Kane cannot be predicted because this player came from same league in the main league last season so Manchester United weaknesses are definitely Harry Kane already knows and can look for weaknesses slowly to beat them. match when it takes place.
Currently, there is a very big difference between Bayern Munich and Manchester United because Munich has high-quality mainstay players who have very reliable talent, while Manchester United no longer have any mainstay players, making it difficult for The Red Devil to compete closely with Bayern Munich.
Unless Erik Ten Hag has other tactics that the Bayern Munich coach cannot guess, there is a possibility that he will be able to compete strongly.
Erik ten Hag is already under pressure because after spending huge funds and having few big players on papers they are not able to have any depth in team's early games of this season and trailing badly with lost to two quality teams and having two hard fought wins against weak sides and this group is also never been easy for them with they have to fight hard for the knock-out round because Galatasaray has never been easy opponent they can bring them down which could be worst for them.

Here in this group, we have fight for the second spot with Bayern Munich is already at the top with their quality and team's depth but now how things gone for the remaining two teams it's surely interesting with can Manchester United qualify for the next round or no big question which is looking for the reply, and we have to wait how Ten Hag will fix this all in short period.

I don't doubt Bayern Munich quality this season. Especially they have made changes to their weak side in the transfer market which Bayern Munich improved their front line by signing Harry kane and they also recruited Kim Min-jae to strengthen their defense and also signed a new goalkeeper in this transfer window he is Daniel peretz  .

So Bayern Munich can provide stronger competition as they did before. Indeed, in Group A only Manchester United is a strong opponent for them, but statistically Bayern Munich is able to dominate the victory when facing Manchester United.

Manchester United won’t be an obstacle for Bayern Munich in the group stage to top their table. Just like every other team in that group, Bayern Munich can easily win their opponents including Manchester United because their way stronger than them in terms of football strength, player quality and ball coordination.

Manchester United could as well give Bayern Munich a tough time too, but I believe Bayern Munich will win against them in the end. This group is not that much competitive like some other groups, group E, where we have clubs like Newcastle, PSG, Dortmund and AC Milan. Manchester United and Bayern Munich will be the two teams to make it out of this group stage without any problem.

Sevilla are financially in very bad shape, having won the Europa League has done nothing but reduce the debt that the club still has to repay or it will go bankrupt. Looking at the team's squad, it still has many high-profile players like Lamela, Rakitic, Suso, Lukebakio. So the poor results obtained in the first few games are certainly for other reasons, perhaps technical
like last season, they also performed very poorly in La Liga, but their performance managed to compete in the Europa League.
in the Champions League, it might be too tough for Sevilla. maybe Sevilla will have better luck in the Europa League again this season.
but if you look at some of the players who have left the team, maybe they should try hard to think about trophies this season. The financial problems that befell the club certainly affected the performance of the players.
maybe there will be rich Arabs who will buy the club.
Situation is near bankrupt with nothing positive ahead of this club because in last transfer window they put all team on sell for clearing their debit which is currently stood at the €90 M, but just few players were sold which cut the debit just because of this moral is down and right now they are at the bottom of the La Liga table with no win and conceding more than two goals in every match which make things worst.

Their Champions League group is tougher, but they can do better with Lens is also struggling in Ligue 1 and having spot at the bottom of the league table which mean we have another good chance for the Sevilla to into Europa Cup and perform like they have done in last season for the survival in Spanish League.

I guess this was the biggest surprise for most of us knowing how rich Newcastle United potentially is. But I couldn't find a reasonable answer why they did not really become very active on the transfer market. Is there any specific reason to that or was is just consent among the club bosses?

I think it obviously didn't pay out so far and some big names on their team would have certainly helped. It is still the relatively unknown squad that everybody was surprised about last season, but some enforcements would have been so important. Now they have the perfect failure for the start of the season.

Maybe last season, or rather last season's success happened earlier than they had planned? And despite the fact that the club qualified for the Champions League, the management is not ready to change long-term plans because of this. And it's too early to judge whether it's reasonable or not - we have an example of Chelsea which spends a lot of money but achieves absolutely nothing.

I have seen the schedule for week 1 for group stage and i found a big match between Bayern Munich vs Manchester United and if i am not mistaken both team has been met total 11 times and Bayern Munich had 4 wins and 2 lose 5 draw so from these records we can see Bayern Munich had good records from Manchester United everytime they were met and i think this time too will not so different because currently Manchester United had facing storm injured and their situations also doesn't really good because at Premier League Manchester United performance is still not stable but for Bayern Munich the arrival of Kane has giving positive impact for them because finally Bayern Munich has return to winning ways and in my opinion big possibilities Bayern Munich can able to overcomes Manchester United

Well if Manchester United offers only glimpse of personal magic from different players as they done yesterday against Arsenal pretty sure the game is going to be won by Bayern Munchen which is on a great run in their domestic league so far showing a great performance.Harry Kane seems to have familiarized himself pretty quickly with the new team there and this is more headache for Manchester United as Kane has scored quite some times against them when playing for Tottenham. If Manchester does not change posture and approach and continue with this low performances like in the Premier League then there are 3 sure points to grab for Bayern Munchen.

Manchester United better find their balance quickly and play better soccer, because if they enter the champions league with this their lousy performance and bad defense, Manchester United will concede many goals and Onana will not be able to safe the team. Big hopes on Amrabat that he will be able to bring more solidity to the midfield and assist in defense, big hopes too on Rasmus Hojlund that he will be able to bring that quality that is often required in scoring for Manchester United.

~snip~

Newcastle poor performance at the start of the season made their chances even smaller, they were only able to win 1 win and 3 defeats in the 4 matches they had played in the Premier League. The negative results obtained by Newcastle in the EPL make me doubt that Newcastle will be able to go further in the UCL, especially since their coach doesn't have enough experience in the UCL.
Eddie Howe got 2 great opponents in the EPL opener. Man City and Liverpool, but Brighton's last game they also lost 1-3. I think since Newcastle are owned by PIF from Saudi Arabia they will be stronger. The reason is because they have a lot of abundant funds to buy new players. But I was wrong, they didn't buy many big players for this season. So if performance drops it's not surprising. But for UCL I agree with you, Howe hasn't had much experience in Europe.
Even before the season started I had already known that Newcastle will have to struggle no matter the amount of players they buy they will still struggle because they have two major leagues to compete for, that is the English Premier League and the Champions League. In both leagues I can say that they are new because it has been long Newcastle saw the top four of the English Premier League. This means they are still new in the English Premier League top flight and in the Champions League, they are even newer so it will be difficult for them to manage both leagues together. The best they will do is to concentrate on one and see how they can succeed. However, they even have a hard luck to be in the deadliest group in the champions league. I do not expect much from Newcastle this season.

Compared to many other teams, Sevilla was lucky to have a group like this because this group is not really hard for them, The only strong team is Manchester United so they should be worried about the games against this team Also Lens and PSV are not really strong however even Manchester United is not in their good situation after this summer and even after hiring players like Mason Mount they didn't improve at all.

I didn't understand at first what you mean. Sevilla is even weaker than last year and Arsenal is stronger than United, so I don't see a chance there. Lens should be able to beat for them but beating PSV Eindhoven will be a challenge. They should manage to reach the 3rd place in the group despite their poor form.

It seems like he was still taking european winner's result as a guarantee for sevilla to win the group stage while the fact said the opposite thing. The chances of Sevilla and Lens making it to pass the group stage are uncertain and there is a possibility of them not qualifying.
In my opinion, it would be better to select both PSV and Arsenal to progress through the group stage rather than having to choose between Lens or Sevilla.

Sevilla and Lens are still struggling in the domestic league. Lens earned 1 point while sevilla was still 0 point in la liga. It sounds non sense to keep favoring sevilla to win the group.

Newcastle has made three larger investments for Tonali, Barnes and Livramento and I think that is still not quite what many expected Newcastle
At the start of this season it was a bit disappointing because Newcastle didn't run too smoothly unlike playing last season which looked much better so they were able to get a UCL ticket and enter the top 4 of the EPL standings, in the domestic league Newcastle suffered three consecutive defeats and that was the result bad, Eddie Howe really needs to implement a better strategy so that new players can adapt quickly.

It won't be long before the UCL starts and Newcastle is really in a difficult group of hell, of course, they have to immediately improve their bad game so they can get good results in the domestic league or in the UCL later, against Milan, PSG and Dortmund of course it will be very tough and if Eddie Howe doesn't fix everything, Newcastle will certainly be the club that is ranked bottom of Group F  Cheesy
