Compared to many other teams, Sevilla was lucky to have a group like this because this group is not really hard for them, The only strong team is Manchester United so they should be worried about the games against this team Also Lens and PSV are not really strong however even Manchester United is not in their good situation after this summer and even after hiring players like Mason Mount they didn't improve at all.
Sevilla isn't even close to their best shape and now it remains to be seen whether they can show their A-game in the Champions or League or not. They have certainly been lucky in the draw for the group stage because Lens and PSV are exactly the teams Sevilla would be destined to eliminate during the group stage and, hence, secure their ticket into the knockout stage.
I think for now their strategy remains the same by focusing first on the Champions League while making some different performance changes in La Liga so they get back on a better track.
Sevilla had a similar situation last season when they crashed the table almost all the way down and were then fighting for every single point to not really be threatened by the relegation zone in the end, but they have at least been ranked 13th when there was halftime in La Liga.
But the funny truth is that they also started with just 1 point out of the first 4 games in La Liga 2022/23. After 10 games they had 10 points, which is essentially nothing when you think abut the fact that at the end of the season they won an international title in the Europa League. I have no idea what kind of issue that could be, but something is going wrong.
It is hard to conceive though that they just switch between the different competitions and suddenly play Champions League level. It was hard to believe that they did that in the Europa League, but in the Champions League it should not be possible.
