IMO, I'm pretty sure that in the end Manchester United will be released to the Qatari side. because, the Glazers are well aware that the 5th bit that Qatar offers is the final stage. and if, Glazer still rejects it. that means, there will be a political role that contributes to the acquisition of Manchester United. anyway, this is just based on my personal point of view. one more thing, I'm not a fan of The Red Devils. however, I like what Ten Hag did. he is a coach who can bring Manchester United even better, especially if he is financially supported to bring in the players he wants. and I'm sure United will be a strong contender in both the Premier League and the Champions League. only one thing is lacking, United's players don't have a proven mentality yet.

For the Gunners, this one team is my favorite since the time of Arsene Wenger and its legacy is still being run by the club. now, Arteta has a much tougher task than last season. that's why, he brought in several new arrivals to add depth to his squad. Overall, I am a connoisseur of football. because of that, I have no sentimental towards any team. if it's good I have to say good, if it's bad, I have to say bad, it's that simple.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City really deserves it shout out to them for they have invested hugely innit and finally won the Champions League.

As for the sale of Manchester United, the entire seems tiring and exhausting, I already stopped following the news update and stopped following Manchester United handles that gets update of it. We want the glazers gone for good. It's the reason most United fans are backing the Qataris to get the club. Talks of takeover are suppose to be finalized this week but nothing really being done.

They may be your best side but they lacked depth, if they had depth, they should have being the side to stop Manchester City from winning the treble. It all went down to Saka not capable of outplaying those defender's, then I knew they was not gonna win the Premier League. Good and best season but failure to get a trophy, made is completely Bs!
The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League season is over with Manchester City as the crowned champions after beating every opponent they faced including Inter Milan who was their opponent in the final.
That been said, I think we should now be more concerned in stopping City from dominating Europe the same way they're dominating the English Premier League. With my assessment, Manchester City will definitely be a team to beat in next season champions league competition
And Manchester City also became the treble winner last season, successfully won the Big Ear trophy along with successfully winning the Premier League and FA Cup.
This success was inseparable from the genius and greatness of Pep Guardiola as his coach, and this was the second treble winner that Guardiola won in his coaching career after 2009 with Barcelona.

so in my opinion as long as the team is coached by Pep Guardiola it will definitely be a scary team, and for the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League Season and also in other competitions as long as Manchester City has Pep Guardiola they will still be a dangerous team, unless Manchester City replaces him, maybe there will be a big change overall despite having quality players. So the greatness of the team depends on the coach.

If Barcelona become insistent on playing the same game in the Champions League it is really difficult to put them among the biggest title contenders next time. Because they still can't even get past the group stage. In the last season they could have done this by at least leaving Inter behind. But it is clear that something needs to change immediately.

Xavi played with this system in his player career for so many years of course. I understand why he insists on this game logic. But it is clear that it doesn't work in the CL while it does in the La Liga. Barcelona have really skilled youngsters and a great striker like Lewandowski.

With some additions to the team in the transfer window and some adjustments in the game strategies they should be more competitive in the CL.
If I'm not mistaken Barcelona last won the Champions League trophy in the 2014-15 season and then they didn't have that success again in the Champions League. They are doing well in terms of league titles but I don't understand why they are not doing well in competitions like Champions League. Sometimes looking at their Champions League performance, it seems that they are not focusing much on the Champions League and their main focus is on the league title.

Many managers have come and gone at Barcelona. Many managers have succeeded for Barcelona and many managers have failed but Xavi has to prove that he is a successful manager for Barcelona. And Barcelona have faith in the right manager. He will have to do whatever it takes to prove himself successful and the Champions League will be the most important thing.

Yes, it is actually very interesting. Barcelona has won more Spanish championships than Real in recent years, but Real is much more successful than Barcelona in the Champions League. In the last 2 years, Barcelona did not even manage to make it to the knockout phase of the Champions League. I really don't know how to explain it rationally.
Barcelona has had major financial and organizational problems in recent years, and the loss of Messi was irreplaceable.
Honestly, I don't see Barcelona as one of the favorites in the next season of the Champions League, unlike Real.
Manchester City remains the main favorite for the next season of the Champions League.

Actually, the current Barcelona squad already has a good mentality for the Champions League competition, but with the style of play given by Xavi, it certainly won't match his opponents in this European competition. Xavi should have been able to learn from his senior who is currently coaching Manchester City, namely Pep Guardiola, who no longer uses the tik taka strategy because this game cannot be used in the modern football era as it is now.

Pep Guardiola always uses tight pressing to find box to box gaps for his players to be able to achieve precise attacks and that is why Manchester City can win the Champions League this season. Xavi must immediately evolve with his players so as not to be left behind by his competitors, especially Real Madrid, who will not be playing anymore to be able to win the Champions League title again.
Barcelona has injury problems in the group phase of the 2022-2023 Champions League season, they don't have a strong defense because several players are absent due to injury. Xavi also tends to play Alonso as a left back even though basically they have Alba and Balde, but sometimes Alonso is played as a centre-back. Out of 6 matches, Barcelona were only able to win 1 match and that was when they beat Viktoria Plzen 5-1.

You can't compare the depth of Barcelona's squad to Manchester City's. Xavi doesn't have players of the same quality as Manchester City, so even if Pep Guardiola is coaching Barcelona at the moment, this problem can't be solved either. Xavi has built a strong team, but he hasn't had success in the Champions League or the European stage. There is still a lot of hope about him in the coming seasons, so whoever is a Barcelona supporter at the moment just needs to be patient.

Xavi is gathering new experience as new seasons keep unfolding. In the last two seasons he could not make any impact in the Europa and Champions League maybe due to lack of experience to compete with the big coaches but he was able to do so much in the Laliga. I believe with his recent Laliga trophy Supercopa de España, Laliga and semi-finalist in the Copa del Rey Xavi should be able to do beyond the group stage in the CL hopefully qualify for semi-final
That is a very good hope that Xavi must achieve next season in order to make the Barcelona team triumph again in a bigger competition such as the Champions League, because the Champions League always has bigger challenges for all teams so Xavi needs to put his all into it. Organize and train every player who is already on the current team. Apart from that, Barcelona fans will also be very happy if Barcelona can return to competing in the Champions League until the semifinals next season.
Barcelona have some experienced players along with some young talent who wouldn't be a bad team to plan for the Champions League but need better planning first. Barcelona is a successful team in La Liga because Barcelona has won more league titles than Real Madrid so far but they are far behind Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Barcelona's performance in the Champions League last season was very poor which is never expected from a team like Barcelona. If their financial problems are resolved, they should be able to re-sign some players right now.

Becelona's managers usually fail with transferring and hiring players the coach needs.
In this season they couldn't even hire the players like Messi while he wanted to this team himself. I think with this situation Barcelona can't have too much chance to achieve anything.

Manchester United is still owned by the Glazers pending when the agreement to sell the to the new bidder is confirmed.
So it simply means that Manchester United will remain to continue with whatever transfer strategy and budget that's been put in place by the Glazers until the club is finally sold to another individual or group. United current sqaud for a truth needs to strengthened by signing more world class players which I think will be done in this summer transfer window regardless of who owns the club

Whoever owns Manchester United one thing is certain that they really need significant additions to the squad. At least this is needed if Erik ten Hag is planning bigger for the club for the near future. This season they showed how capable they can be by defeating even the league champion in Old Trafford. They were really impressive in home matches against top clubs in the league.

But this squad isn't still quite enough to compete harder for the Premier League and Champions League titles. Maybe you can give the Arsenal example but it isn't a thing we see very often. They have a really young squad so they also need some serious additions to keep consistency.

As a result Manchester United need to be really careful about their expenditures as well from now on. Otherwise they might find themselves spending a huge sum of money on an average player such as Maguire.

The best thing Ten Hag can do is to sell players like Maguire to save some money and spend the money to hire better players they really need for the next champions league.

Xavi with Barcelona had a good performance this season and even if you are talking about the games they lose this season and the game they lose in the Europa League still Xavi is not experienced enough and in the next season when Barcelona plays in the Champions League Xavi can have much more chance to achieve something there.
The Champions League will be very different for Xavi, he has experience as a player but as a manager is still very minimal so Barcelona might be doubted to be able to do more in this tournament next season, even though they have a lot of experience as champions league champions but the current line-up is much different which will also give different results, especially regarding the issues that still exist about Barcelona might distract them from their focus, and the most important thing at this time is to find replacements for the players who have been confirmed to leave Barcelona, especially since these players have a big role in Barca, their departure could greatly affect the appearance of the team, and with financial problems that are still hitting what they can do in the current player transfer season, it is still very much expected that there will be surprising news about their success in bringing in great players who can help them win more trophies next season.

As long as Barcelona cannot clear the problem of financial troubles, they are not going to be able to bring in the players that the coach actually wants. And if they do not bring in the players that he wants, he is not going to be able to bring in the performance that everyone wants. I would not say that he failed to achieve such and such. Because the main priority was La Liga. And that thing is what they had made a target, Barcelona actually achieved. It will be interesting to see how Barcelona is going to perform in the Champions League. It is sure that they will need new players because with this squad Champions League is not winnable.

Barcelona will not be able to buy the new player is its financial problems with the club will not be solved. The problems are even some players are not interesting to leave from barcelona like ansu fati. I think that barcelona faces very difficult situation right now.
It's caused by if the club needs to use more effort to make sure it can raise around 200 millions for the club to comply with FFP. Barcelona will not be able to buy gundogan if ts problem will not be solved.

Quote
Barcelona's complex financial situation has left Gundogan in uncertain waters as the club cannot guarantee he will be registered under La Liga rules. According to some estimates, they need to raise somewhere in the region of €200m (£176m/$215m) in order to be able to register a few current players on new deals and make new signings.
https://www.goal.com/en/news/real-madrid-joselu-signing-newcastle-stoke-flop-espanyol-spain/blt68236b24ca36591f

This puts the club in a very difficult situation. Even though busquets and alba have been leaving from the club and it's not even enough to make the club can comply with the regulation.
Barcelona needs to sell more players as soon as possible or it will be missing the time to rebuild the club as preparation for the upcoming season.

Busquet's position was really important. Barcelona has no capable player to replace him temporary.

As long as Xavi is the head coach of Barcelona I am sure that Barcelona will not be able to go any farther in the Champions League because after all, even though Barcelona did win the La Liga title but in reality it was just that. Due to the fact, Barcelona also failed in the Copa del Rey and thus, Barcelona does not have a good chance in the Champions League. If for example in the previous season Barcelona could still reach the quarter-finals or semi-finals in the Champions League, then this achievement could be improved this season but the fact is, Barcelona could not achieve that in its last two seasons in the Champions League.

Barcelona have been disappointing in the Champions League for two seasons. The only serious problem Xavi is dealing with is this now actually. Because they didn't have much problem on winning the La Liga title. But they just can't deal with big teams in the Champions League properly. This season they had a really terrible group stage experience. I didn't like Lewandowski's performance in big matches here as well. It was like there was a completely different striker than the one who scores so many goals in the La Liga.

Xavi needs to find a way to consolidate the game plan more for next season. Because the board would ask him to do more than this. Maybe tiki-taka isn't the right choice against such teams here anymore so Xavi had better think about a new formula.
Actually, the current Barcelona squad already has a good mentality for the Champions League competition, but with the style of play given by Xavi, it certainly won't match his opponents in this European competition. Yeah I'm also curious about Manchester United's potential for next season from now on. As of Sheikh Jassim's taking over by paying billions of dollars, the transfer window should be much more active for Manchester United side. If they make big transfers to aim more titles next time then I will see Manchester United as one of the serious title contenders in the Champions League.

They are in search of a striker for example. Harry Kane's name has been called with them a lot. But according to The Guardian, they have lost their interest due to not being keen on paying an amount over 100 million euros.

Let's see if they can bring back Alex Ferguson's times who won the CL trophy twice with them.  Smiley
Although Sheikh Jassim has taken over from the Glazers but we still don't know how big their budget will be for the current transfer window perhaps it is still being considered and Erik Ten Hag is still looking for some talent to fill in for the start of the new season.

Harry Kane's price is too expensive but this is still associated with several other clubs, maybe at this time he is still trying to negotiate with several other players, I would be interested if Man United brought in a lot of players in this active transfer window.

I'm sure Erik Ten Hag has the potential for that but of course it takes a process to get back to his former glory.

Of course I talked about it confidently by assuming the new owner would allocate an enormous transfer budget for the club as it is oil money we are talking about. I made this assumption by looking at the Newcastle example though. Because 80% of the club is owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment now. And moreover Newcastle's budget was said to be around 1 billion euros once.  Grin

Maybe Manchester United's budget might not be that big but still I assume it would be at least a few hundreds of million dollars. This should be more than enough for Erik ten Hag to build the kind of a team he would like freely. If he can do this then this team should be ready to play bigger in all the tournaments they are in.
Manchester United is still owned by the Glazers pending when the agreement to sell the to the new bidder is confirmed.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City had all of the potentials to win the Champions League, but, I'm just a biased Manchester United fan when it comes to this aspect, and due to sentimental reasons, I just don't want to see Manchester City win the Champions League once again next season, it should rather go to the Italians thna return to Manchester City. Lolz.

The Qataris are currently leading the race to buy Manchester United, but it seems like glazers are still sending messages to the other parties to increase them bid if they're to beat them. Erik Ten Hag's a great coach, with the support of the Qataris, he'll get quality players, capable of fighting for Manchester United.

We'll see bout the gunner's, I do not undermine them. But same squad used fir the Premier League can't be used for the Champions League. They're to make sure they get quality players for depth also.

To be honest, I'm not a City fan. but I really admire Pep Guardiola. to be honest, what City showed, especially against Madrid, is very worthy of appreciation and they really played very well. next season, Manchester City will still be a strong candidate even though several of their players will leave. because I'm pretty sure, Pep will bring in some of their potential replacements. I see that Pep Guadiola is building his legacy at Manchester City with the same style and character as when he was with Barcelona.

It seems that the conditions will not change, especially now that they have a new nickname for next season. The defending champion is definitely something that will definitely continue to be mentioned when discussing Manchester City in the Champions League and this will also make them even more eye-catching and will definitely become one of the clubs that are indeed the favorites in this competition.

As for Pep, even though I'm also not a Manchester City fan in this regard, he really deserves credit and he is now one of the coaches who are above average in terms of level or qualifications.
His cold hands can always make a club scary and not only talking about Manchester City but the previous clubs he coached are also scary if we look further.

Now we just have to see what moves they make in transfers to make their club even scarier next season, and of course the more exciting Champions League hopes are definitely there for next season. There are a lot of new powers now and when we see even this season for the EPL clubs their 3 representative clubs this season is different from last season and of course this will be another hope for the Champions League to be more colorful and I can't wait for that.

Barcelona want to apply the same plan they play in La Liga in the Champions League which has resulted in them being a failed team every season in the Champions League. Barcelona's main focus should be on the Champions League as they have not won the Champions League trophy for several years. The only way to achieve European excellence is to win the Champions League trophy.

Since Xavi has been appointed as the manager of Barcelona, Xavi should adopt the plan that is needed to win the Champions League trophy and if some players need to be changed to do well in the Champions League, Barcelona should change those players.

Xavi with Barcelona had a good performance this season and even if you are talking about the games they lose this season and the game they lose in the Europa League still Xavi is not experienced enough and in the next season when Barcelona plays in the Champions League Xavi can have much more chance to achieve something there.
