There is still a lot that needs to be improved about this club and Erik Ten Hag doesn't seem to be able to improve MU's performance to become stronger to take on its former glory days and in my opinion MU needs very talented star players as they used to have reliable players in the club and until now MU has not been able to get players like before and I am very sure that if MU had got talented players like in the past this club could regain its glory but not with Erik Ten Hag.
I really don't trust this coach anymore, even though previously I still believed in seeing MU qualify for the Champions League but it seems to have failed and I don't have any sympathy for the coach.
Ten Hag can't do more than he's done for Manchester United. This is as far as he can go and the club got to thank him for bringing them this far but he's not the man to take Manchester United to their glory days. He's a good coach to an extent, but he just won't succeed at Manchester United, ad that's normal. They just should not take too long to figure this out.
Talking about players, Manchester United don't have the right players like you stated and that's a fault of the board. Manchester United board sign very wrong players of late. They just sign players that the fans ask for. This is a team that need massive overhauling and I feel that can only be done with new owners. If It were possible I'd advise Ten Hag to leave Manchester United but he's under contract so he has to see our his contract.
In simple terms, Ten Hag is a good coach and has a fairly clear vision, but luck seems to have run away from him. After his first season at Old Trafford which was quite promising, now he seems to have failed to make things meet expectations, although it cannot be said to have completely failed, but The Red Devils squad is heading in that direction. I mean, both in the EPL and UCL, United's steps have been visible, they have difficulty creating consistency.
The final option to save United in this bad situation is to part ways with Ten Hag, even though his contract is still quite long, precisely ending in June 2025. However, at a certain point, Ten Hag must take the initiative or the club management will take action by firing him. Fans continue to renew hope after hope, and they hope that there will be a revival in the future, but in fact bad records continue to be created.
