The matches played so far this season is very surprising as some of the result are not what we expected to see from those matches. Bayern Leverkusen are showing a better performance than Bologna and Girona in the champions league and even as a team this season. But there is no certainty of who gets to qualify for the next round or not yet. They both have to showcase some serious talent and quality in every match and any team that gets to do that will have the more chances of making it to the next round. We can’t come to conclusions now, all teams are important and they will rather not make one chose one over the other for now.

You are right that in competitions sometimes clubs that are considered underdogs can actually advance far and beat big clubs. Like last season in the UEFA Europa League that never expected Atlanta to advance far to win the title which was previously an underdog club. So can happen in the Champions League this season, especially since the Champions League has only played its second match and the journey is still long and all possibilities can still happen.

Girona is even better than that of bologna because Girona played a better game last season so they have a better shot and if it is in the case of winning then they both have zero shots at winning, the champions league is a big league and people that are winning it are know and they have built a well deserving reputation for their self in the league so it is very difficult for them to actually be able to just win just like that, it might take, a while before they will be able to adjust and start winning their are people their already, they have to wait to take their own turns. Leverkusen is so very unpredictable they can not win also but they might make it to the next round of the games. in the case of Girona and Bologna is not about properly they will definitely be eliminated.

Now it is still too early for that because after all the league phase has just started and still leaves at least 5 more matches to determine who qualifies for the next phase or not so saying some clubs as a reference to the final will be very difficult because it is still quite random even though it cannot be denied that some big clubs must always be seeded and favorites if they say finalists.
