What is fascinating about all these, is that without the presence of Mbappe already, Madrid are just too perfect in a way that their success can not be matched with any other team apart from Manchester City who could stand time against them. The signing of Mbappe is a matter of mutualism, Mbappe to add a Champions league title to his career, in it  Madrid should be the one less benefiting because they already won as much trophies they wanted, nothing seems out of their reach and now with influence of Mbappe as their top 9 would make the job easier and faster. All they need to do is create opportunities and leave the remain for Mbappe and moreover he is aswell good with his foot work which will make it more deadly for their opponent.

We all can see and know that the move of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is for more glorious days for the team because they’ll continue to dominate the competition and also prevail amongst other teams in this competition. Bring the first tier most competitive competition in Europe all the best teams will like to showcase their best to win the trophy but with Real Madrid squad and what they’ve done this concluded season, you don’t need to think or compare with any other team that can match and defeat their stands currently in Europe. They remain the best and Mbappe’s dream of winning the champions league is now almost fulfilled because in his first year with them, he’s going to win the trophy and adds to the list of his career records soon.

Nice to see with new thread for UEFA Champion League 2024/25 season.

I think need to describe fewest rule of UEFA Champion League season 2024/25 because for the first time UEFA using new format and get extra quota from usually phase round each teams play six matches with three home and three away matches for next season will play eight matches for group phase.
I am not familiar with new Champion League format for season 2024/25 because don't read all format rule but some players have disagree with more matches playing than old format. However new format will adopt for next season and interested with new format have teams will participants for the first time after longer time absent.

Some new teams will appearance are Bologna for Serie A teams participants, Girona as La Liga teams, Ligue 1 team have Brest and Stuttgart as mediocre teams from Bundesliga will participants in Champion League next season.
I think it's not only you who not familiar because i am sure everybody didn't familiar with new format and correct me if i am wrong because according to the history of this competition this is the first time UEFA using this format for Champion league and just like people know next season UEFA will adding 4 more teams to joining which mean total there will be 36 teams participant in this competition besides that there will be no more Group Phase because all of the teams will be put in together into a League Table

I think it's been explained before and according to the UEFA rules mechanism for the new format is the team who finish at top 8 on League Phase will be automatically advances to the round of 16 and the teams from 9th to 24th places will be playing at play off stages and from this method indeed we will be watching more matches because every teams have to playing 8 matches total from home and away however i am not really sure new format will be effective or not because teams participating in this competition will have a busier schedule than last season

I don't know how my team will fare but I'd love to see them compete strong and possibly win it. I'm tipping Liverpool with a 25% chance here.
I speculate Liverpool is no longer a strong team in the next season, that's why I didn't include Liverpool into the list.

Klopp and many veteran midfielders left Liverpool, now Salah, Diaz, Gravenberch and Robertson could leave Liverpool too, if they're leaving Liverpool, I think Liverpool will become Chelsea or Manchester United. It's too much expectation Liverpool have a chance to compete in Champions League, I'd say if they can at least finish top four in Premier League, they're already great.

You make a very fair point tbh if we want to be objective but I won't be making an expectations or setting the bar too low until I've seen a couple of Liverpool games under Arne Slot. It's a big ask for him to feel Klopp's shoes but somehow, I have a feeling that he'd do great maybe not immediately so I'm still retaining my 25% tip for Liverpool to win the Champions league.

If the players you mentioned leave, there's good to be new ones coming in as well. That's how it is with teams.

The arrival of kylian mbappe to Madrid is definitely going to breed so many speculations in the fact that they will trust thag he's most definitely going to win the league title with Madrid this season as that ahs always been his dream in a very long time before now, I still believe it's possible too , Madrid without mbappw did it and even win it severally in a row, maybe it's possible they are going to embark on another streak again to winning multiple times in a row.

Madrid have always been a very strong name when it happens to do with the champions league and their prowess a Ross the champions league is such that every one who's followed by up with the champions league will agree to that, they have their complete squad intact and now have another new and good player along side who happens to be mbappe, for me that alone is another reason not to doubt how formidable t hey can be, even if it may sound too early to make such predictions but they have such a good team that almost no doubts could be placed on them.

As a striker who's determined to advance his career beyond what it has been before now, I want to believe mbappe will be very useful to Madrid and aswell to himself, dedicated to producing results that will get him to be able to stand out and aswell making Madrid a  very formidable team across Europe such that no other team can be able to contend them to the point of causing them any form of set back, not with ancelotti as their head coach.

Here are the winning chance of each team to become a champion in the next season:

60% for Real Madrid
39% for Manchester City
1% for Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen etc. Tongue

Real Madrid without Mbappe can still become a champion in this season, so it's no doubt majority of people will believe in Real Madrid.
Don’t you think the percentage given to Arsenal and other teams are very low?
Manchester City is good and can do it again same as Madrid because they have been doing it and they are the defending champion.

I am expecting another team apart from Madrid and Manchester City to win the Champions League next season, I don’t think Leverkusen, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and other teams can be that slack in the tournament because all the teams have managers that wants to win something especially the Champions League.

And Im not sure why the eliminated clubs cannot take part in the Europa League, because it will only cause the prestige of the Europa League to decline.

I also didn't know about that until looking into the details of the new format. I also got surprised. Because I believe this was making the Europa League more attracting thanks to additional quality teams coming from the Champions League.

It looks like Sevilla won't be able to have any such challenge as of now. They can't even finish at top places in the La Liga though.  Tongue

Interesting?  Grin
If earlier out of 32 (which was already too many) teams, 16 were eliminated, now only 12 out of 36 are eliminated. If we project this onto the old format, it turns out that this is equivalent to the fact that out of 32 teams only 8 would be eliminated.
This is a fucking circus and a disgrace. The group stage was rotten even before, but now it will be a set of dull friendly games, the result of which will be the same set of teams in the playoffs.

It is really not easy to satisfy everyone I'm afraid. I was okay with the group stage format for example but I have no idea how I will feel in this new format now. I just hope that I like it also.  Grin

I don't even know why they felt the need of such change. Of course not everyone was pleased with the previous format but they still continued with it for so many years.

It is normally quite early to talk about the chances for the title. We haven't even seen new transfers and the final look of the squads yet. However for some teams it is easier to make predictions of course. Especially for Real Madrid.  Grin  That Mbappe signing is just insane. After Ronaldo's departure from the team it looks like a new golden age is starting for Real Madrid soon.

For now I only see Manchester City which can compete with them hard for the title here. I can add Bayern Munich to the list as well depending on Kompany's performance. He has a reference from Guardiola so I have bigger expectations now.  Tongue

Ok thing is that football cannot be decided on paper, it's been earned on the pitch, how can I make a prediction when we haven't seen players coming in and leaving? Who expected Atalanta to win the Europa League Competition? And who did with Bayern Leverkusen getting such results?

Some other club with definitely win the Champions League Competition. I agree they're having a killer mentality in this Competition, but, No! Let's be open minded, we'll definitely face tougher Competitions next season.

From the Premier League Competition, I'd say Aston will go far. Barcelona I will also suggest, for christ sake, they've got a damn good coach who has won the Champions League Competition before with a big club like Bayern Munich. I'm sure with the signatures expected they'd definitely thrive.

Manchester City will be selling most of them players like Bernado Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Enderson. They're not going nowhere near that Semi finals next season. Bayern Leverkusen is also a tough side to watch, so much expectations from them.

Maybe we are too quick to make predictions, but that doesn't matter. Because the UEFA Champions League is one of the interesting discussions in the world of football. This year the UEFA Champions League was won by Real Madrid. Can I say next season will be won by Real Madrid. Because Real Madrid has officially brought in Kylian Mbappe, of course the Real Madrid squad is getting stronger on the front lines. In fact, my prediction is that Kylian Mbappe will be a candidate for LaLiga's top scorer. But, if Real Madrid cannot win LaLiga and UCL, it will be a bad start for Kylian Mbappe.
It could be that your prediction is right if Kylan Mbappe will be the player as the top scorer next season. My question is, is it possible that in his first season Mbappe will not get a challenge with Real Madrid considering that Kroos as the top assist maker is no longer a Real Madrid player?

Real Madrid won the Champions League title three times in a row when they were still coached by Zidane. Real Madrid in the Ancelotti era to defend the UCL title is not easy because the competition for the Champions League next season will be more difficult.
As in the beginning of your post, don't be too hasty even though making predictions is something that needs to be done.

I do not think that Kroos would make a U-Turn at all. If he says he is retired then he is retired. On the odds, if anyone thinks that City has a higher chance to win than Madrid, then they have not checked the squads at all. I understand that Pep is loved, and his style definitely gets results, but that doesn't mean that a UCL winner Real Madrid would lose Kroos, gain Mbappe and not win it.

I think it is obvious that the yare going to be great without a doubt. Of course losing Kroos is terrible, his passes will be sorely missed and he was a great player but that doesn't mean that they got so worse that even Mbappe can't fix that issue. I believe that they are going to dominate both league and UCL to win both of them again.

Mbappe will perform even more strongly after joining Real Madrid, as a striker entering the team will surely strengthen the attacking department and the ones they can succeed in attacking. For a long time, the Real Madrid team performed very well in these seasons. However, if there is a competition, only Manchester City and Real Madrid will have a great competition between these two teams. The threat of unique team is very less as they have failed to perform well in these seasons despite having good performance and strong squad.

The Champions League season is over and Real Madrid is celebrating the title after finishing the season. Real Madrid became the champions this season and secured their 15th title by becoming champions while Dortmund finished as runners-up this season. A new season will start in a few days and based on how each team is buying new players and building their squads, it can be said which team is the favorite for next season's Champions League tournament. However, Real Madrid and Manchester City will always be among the favorite teams in the Champions League tournament.
I know that those two clubs are the favorite next season but it doesn't mean that they will be the winner next season. I cannot give my prediction now because the league have not started, and I have not seen the performance of the players in various clubs. It is until when next season starts that I can give a good speculation on this.

I don't want to start using this season to judge next season, because we saw a lot of surprises from small clubs this season and next season might be the same. There might be some unforeseen challe he's might might be a hinderanceto these big clubs next season, but let's watch and see what happens during the window transfer and the beginning of next season.
Yes, as I said in the previous post, the season has not yet started and every team has not yet started their transfer well, so it is impossible to say who will do well in the Champions League next season. Although there is no chance to say so, there is no doubt that Real Madrid is always the favorite for the Champions League. Real Madrid and Manchester City are my favourites, but I never said that these two teams would win the Champions League. I want the new team to do well in the Champions League tournament and the new team to win the Champions League title. Real Madrid alone has won 15 Champions League titles. I want one of those teams to win the Champions League title because if a new team wins the Champions League title then everything will be much more of a celebration talk.

After Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid has also signed an agreement with young center forward Endrick Felipe. Real Madrid’s offensive line has become incredibly strong. Let’s take a look at the players in Real Madrid’s offensive line: Kylian Mbappé, Endrick Felipe, Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Brahim Díaz, and Arda Güler. It shines as brightly as the sun.

Score 90 really create a bullshit statistic.

Manchester City only won Premier League (they're struggle to achieve), lose FA Cup against 8th team, and lose against Real Madrid in quarter final.

While Real Madrid won La Liga (was struggle, now they improve a lot), won Super Cup, and won Champions League.

Manchester City didn't sign any big player, on the other hand Real Madrid have successfully sign Mbappe.

Yet Real Madrid is still behind "The Loser" Roll Eyes

The next season for City will be difficult psychologically as the investigation against them is coming to an end and the verdict will be delivered in 2025 at the latest. I think one way or another this will affect the whole team as the players will worry about their future (no one wants to get into the Championship) and monitor how the club is doing in legal wars. If you could bet against City winning the title, it would be an easy bet.

Since Kylian Mbappe joined Real Madrid, the Real Madrid team will perform more strongly, the attacking department has been strengthened considerably. Having lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema for a long time, the team was without a striker until now with Mbappe. But Real Madrid team has performed much better than this season's Borussia Dortmund team. And of course they have won the title so there is a possibility of better performance due to the addition of stickers.
Not that he wasn`t strong before, eh Real Madrid has always been a very strong and difficult team to face
I would say better, since they took him the percentages of success of an attack, that is that it ends with a goal, are much higher and therefore they simply score more goals, which is no small thing but that`s the job of the attacker
It cannot be denied that the presence of Kylian Mbappe will make Real Madrid's front line much stronger.
However, we cannot yet measure overall strength for next season even though Real Madrid remains the favorite team, but believe me, defending the CL title is very difficult even though Real Madrid was the only team capable of doing this several years ago.
Anyone will definitely say that Mbappe will be good addition to Real Madrid performance next season, in fact I myself believe that Mbappe presence could be big threat to several other teams who will beat Real Madrid in the race for the title.
I also quite confident in making other team favorites, like last season, who initially sided with Manchester City to win over Real Madrid, but in reality Manchester City failed and Real Madrid continued to advance to the final.
Both are quite strong team, but repeating history, such as when Manchester City managed to win the 2022/23 UCL, is not an easy thing and I understand that improving the performance of each team in each season is bound to happen.
Next season, no one knows how and what the real competition for the UCL title will be like, but I remain optimistic that these two team, Real Madrid and Manchester City, will definitely be quite strong team and difficult to beat.

See Real Madrid preparations, it is clear that they are slowly starting to appear and we will certainly also see every preparation from several team who are trying to perform optimally in every competition, especially for the 2024/25 UCL season.

Curiosity, source of these statistics?
Are there already the bookmakers' data? or is it your data/guess/estimate?
They are surely just based on estimates because, although Real Madrid seem to have the greater chance again, 60% may either be an underestimation or an overestimation.
It is not surprising that Real Madrid can get an estimate of around 60%. They became UCL champions this season even though they didn't have a pure striker. Ancelotti is a great coach who is a genius at making strategies with the current squad. And with Mbappe next season, Real Madrid will be able to play a 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-3 formation in the season with Mbappe being number 9. I don't see other teams having good transfers at least for now. City have a good team at the moment but they cannot always rely on the current squad. Next season Kevin De Bruyne will be 33 years old and that is quite old for a footballer.

Yes indeed, I don't care about these statistics because of course, currently there are no sportsbooks that provide bets on the winner of next season's Champions League. Because in fact, the Champions League started a long time ago, at least the domestic league matches will roll out first and then the Champions League will follow. But regarding Real Madrid being said to be the favorite team then of course, there is nothing wrong with thinking like that. Because, basically,  Real Madrid will always be a title candidate team, so even though this figure is just a personal opinion, but for me it is not wrong at all.
The Real Madrid having 60% chance of winning, will be similar to what sportsbooks will provide next season because they know Real Madrid without having Mbappe with their current squad has high chances of winning it again and now with a player like Mbappe joining the likes of Vinicius, Rodrygo and Jude things will be much easier and we shouldn't forget another key factor which is aside these stars mentioned any player can step up in the Real Madrid team just like we saw this season.

Manchester city may just be the other on the line though they have to try to get a proper substitute for KDB when he is tired/injured in order to create better chances for Haaland though I won't disrupt the fact that Haaland also has to step up his game this season and try to convert more chances to goals and possibly find ways to overcome defenses better.

By the way, Real Madrid is happy that they were able to win the Champions League trophy. But at the same time, they are sad as well because Toni Kroos is announcing his retirement. But at least we are talking about him. Nobody is talking about Reus enough.

Source: https://www.espn.in/football/story/_/id/40261432/real-madrid-want-toni-kroos-uturn-retirement-ancelotti

Every day players, even good ones, retire. Sometimes they do it because they are tired or because they think they are no longer able to play at high levels. It depends on how they do it and if they do it for the good of the team, they remain in the hearts of the fans: for example, I respect Alessandro Del Piero who at the time went to Serie B with Juventus proving to be a true captain.
And i remeber and respect him. Always
Looking at the charismatic pattern Toni kroos is able to navigate within central midfield and his ability to distribute the ball, I don't think he looks tired, Toni kroos playing style can be ascribed to that of Andrea pirlo, who was still playing till he was 38, so Toni kroos with his wealth of experience can still offer Real Madrid some years of good football. The appeal by Coach Carlo ancelotti to Toni kroos to rethink his decision on his retirement stance is not out of place, as players of such calibre of experience still needs to be within and around the team to help share their experience with the young ones. I'm not tired of seeing Toni kroos play, just the way I'm not tired of seeing Luka modric.

The percentage for arsenal, inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Leverkusen is too small, given the fact that this are teams that have the capacity to pull up surprises, nobody knew Dortmund will get to the point of playing in the champions League finals against Real Madrid. Manchester city too are not too much of contender in my opinion as i see them as a team without much champions League Dominance, the 39% given to them is on the high side for me. Real Madrid are the kings of the champions League, so i agree with you on the 60% chance you gave them. However i will be looking out for others teams for suprise, as this is the game of football, so anything can happen.
It seems too early for us to be able to give predictions that do not have a reference in the prediction, currently Manchester City is indeed a pretty strong team in the English league and also the Champions League, but that doesn't mean we have to favor them better than teams like Madrid and Bayern Munich next season, I think this season football continues to present many surprises that we can't expect at all so far,  Football, of course, cannot only stick to predictions and also the quality of the team because indeed so far we can see how big teams actually have to get a defeat from a team that has never been favored at all, of course Dortmund entry into the final can open our minds about how victory in football is not only dominated by the favorite team so far.

Teams like Arsenal, Inter, Milan, Barcelona, PSG, and Leverkusen have a fairly small chance in this prediction, of course, it is quite natural if you look at their mentality so far, but in this case maybe we will also be able to see the surprise that they may give next season, especially Leverkusen who is indeed the best team in my opinion this season, even though the team has a small percentage of winning the UCL,  but in football everything can happen and of course Football is always full of surprises, and everything will depend on the team performance on the pitch in my opinion.
