Ancelotti has had good experience when handling Real Madrid especially in the Champions League competition and has won several awards so as time goes by I am sure Ancelotti will restore Real Madrid's performance as before and become a strong candidate in the UCL but the problem is there are tough obstacles this season for Real Madrid not only Barcelona but also the English club Liverpool this club seems to have quite high ambitions in the UCL.

I agree with you. I would give Real Madrid more priority among the title contenders because they have been through a very challenging time. It is difficult to predict Real Madrid chances in the play-offs because there are so many other big teams that could potentially be their opponents. City also still have a chance to qualify through the play-off round if they are able to win the last game vs Club Brugge, this is an important match for the 16 teams in the round, they will try to show their best ability to get a ticket to the last 16.

Even though we can not know for sure what will happen Real Madrid experience and skill make them strong team that could go all the way.
