It seems like this season is really a very sad start for Man City and Real Madrid fans who are currently experiencing bad luck. Both teams who were initially favored as UCL title holders, actually experienced bad luck when important players were injured. Man City was still slightly better with a draw at the end of the match, but still looked bad when they were already leading by 3 goals and Feyenoord made a comeback. And Madrid had to suffer another defeat in the match against Liverpool which I thought would end in a draw but instead Ancelotti used a 4-2-2-2 formation which for me looked so ridiculous. Undecided

I can't speak for all Real Madrid fans, but I like everything. In the sense that now there are (and were before) losses that can be corrected. The gap with Barcelona has been almost eliminated, the situation in the Champions League is acceptable - the main thing is to get into the top 24. The fate of the title will be decided in the playoffs and not in trashy games of the group stage.
As for City, I am also happy for them because they are doing badly in the Premier League. I hope Liverpool did not waste all their energy today and knock them out on Sunday. If not, then today's victory was Pyrrhic.
In the real sense, Real Madrid is not performing so badly this season but the problem I am seeing is the problem of expectation. Since kylian mbappé joined Real Madrid this season, many people had expected that Real Madrid should be scoring an average goal of 3 to 5 every match because mbappé can score and as well as vinicius junior can score. It is when these expectations were not met that people began to say that Real Madrid is doing terribly bad.

Talking about Liverpool, their win was not a coincidence and I did not think that they have exhausted all their energies. Manchester City still stand the risk of losing the weekend match against Liverpool

Liverpool is unstoppable this season. They are now on a 6-long winning streak (all competitions) and out of 19 games they played this season, they only failed to win 2, one unexpected loss to Nottm Forest and a draw against Arsenal.
Who would have thought they'd be performing that well following the departure of Jurgen Klopp. Hiring Arne Slot was a bit of a risky move, as he had never managed a club outside of the Dutch Eredivisie, but, so far, he's doing an amazing job.

Liverpool leads the UCL table with a perfect score of 15 points. Their next Champions League game is against Girona, who lost 4 out of their 5 UCL games, so I expect another 3 points there.

Mbappe keep making Madrid fans to be angry at him, he loses a penalty that could have changed the game, and the absence of Vinicius Jr again affected Madrid’s performance as expected.
I am now taking Liverpool very serious because they are trying to win everything this season; let’s see how they will end the season.
Actually, both Liverpool and Real Madrid missed the penalty kicks. It's just that for Real Madrid, this is a chance to at least score 1 goal, but really, Mbappe seems to be beyond hope, even Kelleher has been able to read Mbappe's kick movement during the penalty kick.

Source: Mbappe was denied by Kelleher
With this, Real Madrid's condition is getting worse in the UCL, even now its position is in 24th place, almost out of the play-off qualification. and for the next match it won't be easy either, against Atalanta who are currently on fire. The absence of Vini JR really affects the team, they can't attack without Vini, once again, Mbappe can't be relied on.

Indeed Manchester City and Real Madrid aren't well in UEFA Champions League particularly. Today's defeat against Liverpool, was somehow expected for some people since Real Madrid are suffering from injuries. For me, it was quite bad and unfortunate. They should managed to get a draw at least not a two goals difference defeat..
For the tactic used by Ancelotti, it is a choice that I believe he was forced to select since he doesn't have many options with the available players he has before the game.

Lets clear something many would use as an excuse for Madrid losing the game. Even if Madrid introduced Vinicius Jr in that encounter against Liverpool the result would have remain the same because Liverpool really made the pitch uncomfortable for the visitors, the Reds was giving the Madrid players a close marking. Madrid did their best but when you meet a good team they just perform better with so much improvement, that was what Liverpool did to gain control and Anfield is really a fortress where you go and come back with nothing. This was the same thing I expected Dortmund to do when they had the second chance of playing Madrid but couldn't. I applaud Liverpool and with this kind of display I believe they're going to win Manchester City this weekend.
Arne Slot is now a coach we really need to noticed the effort his putting in this Liverpool team that made the team exceptional this season, they have been doing great since the beginning of the season in all competition, and they defeated Real Madrid of all people today in the Champions League; this is an interesting game that was well played and Liverpool were very lucky to go with the three points because they were the better side tonight.

Mbappe keep making Madrid fans to be angry at him, he loses a penalty that could have changed the game, and the absence of Vinicius Jr again affected Madrid’s performance as expected.

I don't think any one will want to argue with you on this but you will agree with me that the presence of Vinicius Junior would have increased the chances of Real Madrid scoring goals in this match against Liverpool and his presence would have also increased the pressure in the Liverpool team because he is a player that can beat any defense anytime any day. Congratulations to Liverpool for doing what they have not done as a club and winning Real Madrid tonight shouldn't be something they should be proud of because they know that they can not defeat Real Madrid if the team is in good form like they are.
Next game against Manchester City for Liverpool I expect them to increase their chances of increasing their gap between them and Manchester City in the league table by beating Manchester City very well now that they are still struggling with their performance.

It is a funny Champions League meeting between Liverpool and Real Madrid. It is funny in the sense that in the same match 2 superstars missed penalty. Mbappé had the opportunity to equalize the match for the white side but he missed the opportunity. In few minutes time Mohammad salah had the opportunity to seal the win for the red side and he missed the opportunity also. It is becoming dramatic tonight but I am very much optimistic that Liverpool would claim 3 points from this match.

Many people are of the opinion that kylian mbappe would be able to carry Real Madrid in the absence of vinicius junior but tonight match is proving otherwise. Real Madrid need vinicius junior this time and they cannot afford to lose him.
Lol,  Grin that's really Haralious !
Both sides miss the penalty like their Star player didn't spot the golden opportunity. Besides that match was quite surprising. I didn't expect Real Madrid to let Liverpool win so easily, I thought Real Madrid would push Liverpool with full force. However, the match was completely out of expectation. Liverpool had pressured Real Madrid with full press, none of the players could do creative movement, and ultimately Liverpool held the lead with 2 goals. Now let's see if Liverpool holds the same score lead or tries to score more goals. But to be honest, the match was quite surprising I monitor the match, and Liverpool has dominated the game till 84 minutes. And it seems that the match will be end with 2-0. Because Real Madrid have lost their confidence and became hopeless from the current result.
One thing I always say is that what make big teams to always win matches week in and out is the fear that average and small teams have for them. Once the average and small teams defeat this fear they have for big teams, they will not find it difficult to win the big teams or have a fair game in the pitch. What I'm saying in ernest is that, both Real Madrid and Manchester City are losing this aura that makes smaller teams to fear them which means they might continue to slide down the lane.

Liverpool is a big name in the Champions League, so I didn't expect that struggling Real Madrid and even without vinicius Junior could win Liverpool in the anfield. The result was expected to me

If you have been following football closely in the last few months, you will understand that Liverpool were going to win this match. So the result shouldn't shock you.

It was so obvious that Liverpool was going to win this game. Only Real Madrid fans refused to see it. Liverpool's chances of winning increased when Vini got injured. Madrid's midfield doesn't create chances that much. Vini is the major creator and now that he's injured Madrid is going to have a lot of troubles.
I had no doubt Liverpool where going to win, what I wasn't sure of was the scoreline. I didn't know if it was going to be like the way it ended or if it would be an embarrassing one for real Madrid like 4-0 or 5-0.
I told somebody here that it's going to be a win for Liverpool and he felt I was trolling or something.

Noe Camavinga is injured, Madrid better hope is nothing serious because he would be missed just as Vini is missed. Camavinga is the most technical midfielder in Madrid right now and he's also a hard worker. If he will miss as many games as Vnicius that means he will miss Getafe and Bilboa next and that could hurt their chances of overtaking Barcelona in the league.

If you have been following football closely in the last few months, you will understand that Liverpool were going to win this match. So the result shouldn't shock you. Liverpool has been playing better than real Madrid since the start of the season, so there was never a time I expected Real Madrid to win given that they have not really been convincing. It was a well deserved win from Liverpool they deserved the 3 points they have gotten from this game. Real Madrid should improve their game. The have lost 6 points in their last two games in the champions League and it is not very good for them.

Yes I think that the chances for a Liverpool win were very high, but if you followed the game against Real Madrid, they could have scored the 1-1 with a penalty, but Mbappe missed it. You know how games can go when the weaker team, which is still Real Madrid, scores that penalty and plays extremely defensively and Liverpool can't get it done to score the second goal. After all it was a deserved and expected win, but when the little details go against Liverpool in this game, it could have been a draw.

I know that Salah missed a penalty too, but when Real Madrid scores, the game might have developed a different way.

Considering that Real Madrid has only 6 points so far in the game and Liverpool has 12 points, it is a big deal for Real Madrid to take this game seriously.
It’s very unlikely that Real Madrid would be able to make anything out of this game. The first half haven't been an easy get goal for Liverpool but you can tell they are the dominant side on this game and have had far better chances than we can say for Real Madrid. I really hoped to have seen a goal from either of these sides by now but, it seems they both aren’t up for that just yet. Reserving most of the actions for the second half.
Both teams have been a second half team but, with Real Madrid not being in there best shape, it could as well be Liverpool’s point to keep.
I have totally lost hope in Real Madrid today seeing when Mbappe lost a penalty, even though I know that Salah also lost a penalty, but still Real Madrid is now losing with 2 goals, and it is almost to the end of the game. I don’t think they will be able to win this game again, which means they will still maintain their 6 points, while for Liverpool they will add 3 more points against their 12 points. It is sad to see Real Madrid get defeated in the game, but it is just a game.

It is now obvious that Manchester city have failed wolfully. to be honest with you yesterday I was very surprised about their result against Feyenoord and if someone told me that the game we be a 3-3 draw I wouldn't believe it because when I saw three goals in 53 minutes I was like Manchester city is going to secured the three points, to my greatest surprise Feyenoord use 19th minutes and equalize the three goals and hold till the final whistle. However, with this poor performance of Manchester city now I don't really think they will be able to withstand Liverpool this weekend.
No one will watch the match yesterday and won’t be surprise with the result of the match, Manchester city scored two goals at the beginning of second half, I was even expecting more goals from Manchester city before the match ended, but to my surprise, Manchester City conceded three goals in the second half of the match, am just kind of surprise, because Manchester city didn’t even play against strong team, so I don’t know how that happened. Pep Guardiola really needs to fix something’s in the club, Manchester City’s performance is getting worst.

I don’t know how Manchester city will play against Liverpool, but it’s going to be very difficult for them to even get a draw in the match, the match should be a easy win for Liverpool, with the way Liverpool is playing, I have confidence in them.

I assumed this would happen, but only on the basis of their string of failures, because if you adequately assess the strengths of the teams, obviously Manchester City are much stronger and should have won. They were let down by their own string of mistakes which led to them conceding 3 goals in 20 minutes, they relaxed too early and started letting their opponents do whatever they wanted to do

What a technical finish from Mac Allister on the 52nd minutes to take the lead in the first minutes of thr first half. Liverpool is becoming more deadly and attacking with confidence as the are in full control of the match this second half. It's only a miracle that can happen in this match for Real Madrid to walk away with all three points, because their players don't have the full strength to play Liverpool tonight. More goals will come from Liverpool because Madrid defense is getting porous for them.

Liverpool 1-0.

Liverpool is becoming dangerous this season than we thought, look how they are playing Real Madrid like babies at Anfield and now the scoreline is 2:0. Am just wondering how Liverpool was able to become this formidable this season because even though Madrid is not too in form but at least they would have shown determination against Liverpool but they couldn't. Arne Slot deserves accolades for making Liverpool stronger even at the early stage of his coaching career at the club. I have stated it before that Jurgen Klopp has built Liverpool to become very strong and powerful, so regardless of which ever coach they sign, they gonna continue with the legacy of Jurgen Klopp and it is a good thing that Arne Slot was able to adapt very quickly.

Madrid must fight hard today to get the win, considering Madrid has 6 points or 7 points if a draw. But Liverpool is also a tough opponent who is at the top of the standings at the moment. And this is also a tough match because it is played at Liverpool's home ground.
Yes, it's true that inasmuch as this game has the potential of ending draw, it will really take a whole lot of effort from the Madrid players tonight, because it's already 68 minutes already into the game, with Liverpool taking the lead with 1 goal to nill, scored by Mac Allister, while also having the most ball possession and shots in target. Secondly, I just saw that Mbappe just lost a penalty kick, which is likely to have equalize this game. But however, let's see what the outcome of this game ends, as I'm strongly confused this game will end draw.

Secondly, I just noticed Aston Villa and Juventus still playing goal-less draw, despite Juventus taking the lead in terms of ball possession.

Liverpool is at the top of the spot right now, and I think they will do everything to win this game because they won’t want to lose this match since they are sharing the same point with Monaco, so the game is an important one for them to win so they will continue to be at the top of the table. Monaco is always leading with 1 goal against Benfica, so I think this match is an important one for Liverpool. On the other hand, Real Madrid is not that strong this season, so I’m expecting Liverpool to do everything to win this match tonight.
The match was quite exciting, both teams got a penalty but both teams failed to take advantage of it. Mbappe failed to execute the penalty as did Salah, both players failed to execute the penalty kick. For now Liverpool is still leading 1-0 where the match has entered the 75th minute. I think the best chance for Liverpool is to maintain this advantage until the end of the match because they played quite well in this match.

Nunez also got some good chances but he failed to score. Real Madrid is known as the king of comebacks and I hope Liverpool can play very carefully and not give Real Madrid players space to attack them. In addition, if you look at the match statistics, of course Liverpool was able to control the game as well as possible. Wow, the score became 2-0 through Gakpo's header.
