Yeah, although I don't really like to measure a team's performance in the Domestic League to guarantee a similar performance in the Champions League. However, it would be a shame if Manchester City were eliminated early, we still need them to qualify to enliven the competition of the giant teams. On the other hand Club Brugge should be watched out for because they managed to hold Juventus to a draw, beat Sporting, and Aston Villa which shows that they are very serious about playing in the Champions League. It is possible that facing Manchester City will increase their sense of ambition to win by any means.
There is one scenario I can think of as to how Manchester City could secure a chance to make the playoffs and that is their win against Club Brugge and PSG's win against Stuttgart. If both win, Manchester City will automatically qualify for the playoffs and might win a ticket to the round of 16.

I also don't expect Manchester City to fail any quicker than in previous seasons. They must be able to ensure themselves to qualify for the round of 16 and fight to win every ticket to the next stage, but this is also not easy. Manchester City have been very inconsistent with their performance so far, but their performance in the Premier League is starting to improve and this will probably affect their performance in the Champions League as well.

Manchester City will probably be eliminated from the Champions League. And now Guardiola's only goal should be to bring stability to Manchester City's performance and be in the top 4 of the Premier League table. And I also think that Manchester City has the ability to be in the top 4 of the Premier League. City's performance in the Premier League has been irregular for a long time. But City is in a pretty good position at the moment. Manchester City has won four of the last 5 matches and drawn one. So it is expected that Manchester City will be able to qualify for the Champions League.

The next game is quite easily described in the conditions that are laid out: Manchester City vs. Brugge means a win qualifies Manchester City no matter what. I haven't checked the other matches, but since Brugge is in the qualification zone and has 11 points and Manchester City is 3 points behind as 26th and a better goal difference, a win gives them the qualification for the playoffs. It is still far from ideal, but must be the only goal for them now.

Manchester city next games has stop be a win for them and nothing else, this has to happen to get the opportunity to continue playing in the champions league. With the problems that Manchester city are facing, it's better for them to still be in the champions league until the very end and if the chances is there, Pep Guardiola should also try his best to win the league to close the mouth of the haters thinking that he's washed as a manager. It's going to be a very interesting story if Manchester city that has been very poor manage to fight their way to the champions league. There's still luck as all the clubs that are fighting for the playoff aren't in form

Club Brugge's chances for now are much greater when compared to Manchester City, but on the other hand with the current conditions, especially when City are currently playing at home with the demands of a mandatory victory that they must get, of course this will still be a little complicated for them.

Considering the squad, Club Brugge is far behind Manchester City. There is no argument about this. However, if we consider the performance of these two teams in the Champions League, Club Brugge should definitely be ahead. Club Brugge is unbeaten in their last 4 matches. They have won two and drawn two matches. On the other hand, Manchester City has not won their last 4 Champions League matches. Manchester City has lost three of them.

However, you cannot always choose the favorite team by considering statistics. Manchester City is stronger than Brugge. Moreover, the match is also Manchester City's home home. I will definitely consider City as the favorite. If Manchester City can give their full effort in this match, their chances of winning are high.

Nothing will stop Manchester city from winning their last game in the champions League against Club Brugge. Pep Guardiola already knew that his team hasn't been in their best form, he had to make sure they were not in a bad position in the league. He knows that the champions League new format has given teams more opportunities to qualify even if they had to lose some matches.

The team wasn't too strong and there is no way you are going to be that competitive in all the competition you are participating. You have to prioritise the one that's more intense and go easy on the one that's more flexible. The premier League is more complex than the champions League. Once it's the knockout stages you will see that Manchester city will be strong in the champions League. They won't be losing that much anymore.
It is not yet certain whether Manchester City will win the UEFA Champions League match against the club Brugge. Manchester City's consistent poor performances have reached a point where they are now consistently performing poorly even against weaker teams. The players in this team do not have the confidence to perform well. They have been defeated very badly to PSG.

So at this point it's safe to say they might even lose badly against Club Brugge, If they are not able to perform properly. Club Brugge are already in a strong position in the points table, they are performing more consistently than Manchester City at the moment so they will enter the field as favorites in that match.

The fact that club Brugge will likely progress to the knockout stages of this competition if they get a result against Manchester City is the major reason why they're expected to give their best in that game. Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will be the host in that game and considering the quality of players in the team, almost everyone will be expecting them to win but their visitors who knows that they'll be eliminated from the competition if they fail to win or draw and are also the underdogs will want to throw everything at Manchester City knowing fully well that they've got little to lose if they end up getting beaten.
Pep Guardiola I don't think have ever found himself is this kind of situation since his managerial career which is why I think he'll be heavily criticized if they fail to win that game.

Even so, I don't think this will be easy either. Pep first seems to feel something like this in a competition where they have to be able to win the last match to qualify for the next phase. But on the other hand, this is the last resort for them if they really want to be seen as the favorite club to win because in the end this defeat will be the worst condition during Pep's coaching of Manchester City.
Currently Brugge only allows for a draw to make their conditions a little restrained by hoping that the club below them cannot outperform the points they get but it is different for Manchester City where when results other than victory then it is certain they will be eliminated early.

For Pep, a situation like this seems a little new. Because usually he and the team he coaches always manage to get through the initial phase of any competition very well. And you can always pass easily to the next stage. But this season, for the first time with Man City, he had to experience difficulties just to fight for a seat in the play-off round so that he had the opportunity to continue to the next stage.

Well, this is quite ironic considering Man City's strength last season. Meanwhile, this season with the new format in the Champions League, it turns out we have to see more strong teams experiencing difficulties just to qualify for the next stage. Like FIFA, it has succeeded in adding excitement to the UCL with its new format. And for the Man City match against Club Brugge, it is a life and death match for both teams. Club Brugge will definitely try not to lose and at least be able to draw just to get to the play-off round. Meanwhile, Man City, they have to win if they want the ticket. And yes, this will be like another final match for Man City after yesterday against PSG.

City need to beat Brugge and they have to do it because it will allow them to overtake Brugge in the table and not depend on the result of other games.
Manchester City will advance to knockout phase play-offs if they win and they will be eliminated if they lose.
Whatever happens in other matches will not matter to Manchester City.
Between the two options of winning or losing because if the draw is no longer hopeless, then the match against Club Brugge should be able to win at home.

I think Pep Guardiola should focus on this match first because it concerns them in order to qualify for the playoff phase, maybe in this match they can win at home, if for example they lose then it means that Manchester City's ability is still below.

Although PSG is in 22nd place in the table. Even then, if they fail to win their last match, they may not be able to qualify for the playoffs.
Whatever happens in other matches, a draw will be enough for PSG.

obviously the hope is very small because in addition to having to win in their last match, their qualification will also be very determined by the loss or victory of other teams above them
Wrong.
Whatever happens in other matches, Manchester City will advance to knockout phase play-offs if they win.

Their weakness in UCL puts them at great risk. The defeat to PSG leaves City outside the play-off zone, statistically, their chances of staying in the UCL are still there, although slim and very dependent on luck in the final game. City, who are currently in 25th place must win against Club Brugge in their final game and hope Stuttgart or the team above them do not win.
Regarding the chances of finishing in the top four of the EPL, I still believe in their abilities.
Manchester City still has the ability to take one of the places in the top four of the EPL, but we must not forget the other three teams whose points are very close to Manchester City's points and that can also be a challenge and pressure for the City team this season. While in the Champions League City's ability must really be able to increase in order to win and they can have a chance to qualify for the next round although the playoff match must also be better because that is the decisive match to enter the last 16 of the Champions League.

Club Brugge will be the final test for Manchester City, and from the odds we can say that the match looks fairly easy for Pep Guardiola side to overcome. With the new signings, Manchester City are starting to look more formidable, and I think Club Brugge will need a lot of luck to secure the points at the Etihad. However, we know how important the 3 points are for both teams, so I still assume that the game will still be troublesome for both teams. Pep Guardiola faces unprecedented pressure during his time at Manchester City, but his ability to handle pressure is unquestionable.

Brugge needs one point to guarantee a place in the top 24, they don't have to win this game. By the way, even if Brugge loses, the probability that they won't make it into the top 24 is extremely low because Stuttgart is playing PSG and there has to be a draw so that all teams have the same number of points and additional indicators come into play. Plus Sporting and Benfica have to win their games. Hopefully these circumstances will allow Brugge to play relaxed and knock City out of the Champions League  Roll Eyes

So far the new format has been fun. Not much change in theory but still there are minor changes that made this phase of the Champions League more interesting.  Smiley  Look at the favourites, many of them had serious problems on having a comfortable league phase. Like I said before, even Manchester City are in danger of saying goodbye to the tournament early. Can you imagine Manchester City finishing the group at the 4th position and not even moving on in the Europa League? The current situation equals to that.

It is just more fun to follow this with a league view you know. You see 36 teams one under the other and see how close the points are. It looks more exciting in this way.  Grin

Manchester City will eventually get better, they are better at league to be fair and I am sure that they are going to win the last game as well. In a situation where Manchester City wins the last game, we are going to end up with a much better situation for them, I am sure they will end up with top 24 without a doubt. Don't get me wrong, it will be barely, but they will do it, plus if they win, they will get above Club Brugge right? And that means as long as they get a win, their season continues.

I am sure Pep will do whatever he can, I don't care if it's training or anything, we are going to end up with seeing something like this without a doubt. This has to be the most important part and as long as we can see them hopeful, then we should keep trusting them.

Leading early in the match, then conceding and losing is something that Manchester City has often experienced lately. They are unable to play consistently until the end of the match. And it is not impossible that this will also happen for the umpteenth time. Except if in this match, the Manchester City defenders are able to appear solid and consistent until the end of the match. So that they can maintain their advantage, when they are able to score early.

I hope Pep Guardiola's team can win this match, although the scenario to qualify for the next round is quite complicated because Man City must expect the team above them to lose.

At least, yesterday's match in the Premier League when Manchester City gained momentum to return to the top four, although Chelsea managed to make a quick goal but Manchester City managed to turn things around and also won with a big score of 3-1. So, because playing against Club Brugge will be the last chance and be the right momentum, the victory for Manchester City is no doubt because it will definitely happen.

Manchester City's overall performance is still weak. I would say that Guardiola should now give up hope of Champions League this season. And focus more on Premier League. If Manchester City cannot bring stability in the Premier League performance, then the team will not be able to stay in the top four of the table. And will not be able to qualify for the Champions League.

Manchester City position and chances this season to advance to the playoffs are quite difficult, although they have hopes to qualify, but obviously the hope is very small because in addition to having to win in their last match, their qualification will also be very determined by the loss or victory of other teams above them, it is not enough until that point difference will also be one of the factors that will also allow them to fail later to qualify if you look at the number of their points in the standing at the moment, if we look at all the factors that exist at the moment, I think if their chances in the UCL are greater not to qualify than they are to qualify.

This actually makes the last match in the qualifying round even more interesting. Several teams are already certain to qualify for the knockout round without Play off. and some of course will wait for the results of the last match.
The same match schedule will allow all teams to give their best. Especially those whose positions in the standings are not yet guaranteed. Several teams that have a small difference from the top 8 standings still have hope in the last match. All matches will be exciting, some bets will be interesting.

Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal and Inter Milan will qualify directly for the next round even if they lose their last match. Even if they lose points in the last match, these four teams will be in the top 8 of the table. It is not surprising that Leverkusen and Atalanta are not in the top 8 of the table. Atalanta's performance is a bit erratic in recent times.

However, I am worried about Manchester City and PSG. Although PSG is in 22nd place in the table. Even then, if they fail to win their last match, they may not be able to qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, even if Manchester City wins their last match, it is uncertain for them to be in the top 24 of the table. It will be a sad situation if two big teams like PSG and City are eliminated in the first round of the Champions League.

The last match between Man City and PSG will both need a win to be able to continue the play-off round. It will not be easy to qualify for the knockout round. Of course, it would be a shame if the two teams that usually perform exceptionally in the Champions League were eliminated in the first round.
PSG may still be performing quite well in Ligue 1. But Man City, they are already behind in the Premier League. This season, Man City is in the spotlight of most viewers because their performance has fallen very badly.

PSG opponent is Stuttgart and Manchester City will fight against Club Brugge which on the paper and the experience these teams is below to Manchester City and PSG so if there was no important players who got injured i think beating their opponents is not a problem for Manchester City and PSG but if want to secured their placed at top 24 indeed win result is mandatory for them because if they playing draw or even lost then probably we won't see Manchester City and PSG at knockout stages because they will be eliminate early

Listen, what stopped Manchester City from leading the Premier League? Are you posting to get your get post count up? Otherwise you would put some more thought into the Premier League or maybe you are from somewhere where you don't know how the Premier League works?
