This year's biggest candidate for the championship is definitely Liverpool, but no one knows what will happen in the final.
For those who don't like Liverpool, this post will be unpleasant for them to read. For us, it's a pleasant read, although we didn't expect much considering this is Arne Slot's first season in charge of Liverpool.

My championship ranking is as follows.
Liverpool > Real Madrid > Barcelona > Arsenal
Liverpool will meet La Liga giants Barcelona according to the list I've seen. It's tight.
Arsenal will meet Inter Milan in the round of 16.
It could change. Better to wait and see how the play-offs go.

Okay friends, let's analyze the situation of Liverpool, Inter, Real and Barca in the Champions League

1- Liverpool: The undisputed king of the table
They are locked in the first place in the Champions League! 7 wins from 7 games, 22 goals scored and only 2 conceded. The Arena Slot is really working wonders. Direct promotion to the round of 16 is certain and their chance of winning is 22.22%, which is 811 higher than the others.
Interesting fact: If they draw in the knockout stage now, they will probably face giants like Bayern, Real or Celtic. But with the current form, even these opponents are not scary for them.

2- Barcelona: Lucky but risky
with a crazy 5- 4 victory over benfica in the 96 th minute, they have moved up to second place. Rafinha has 31 goals and assists this season and is really shining! Their chance of winning is 7%, but their defense is still a concern. If they can't maintain second place, they might be caught by real or bayern in the round of 16.

3- Inter Milan: The Silent Killer
They quietly settled into fourth place in the table. They've conceded just 1 goal in 7 games and their defense is like an iron wall! their chance of winning is 18.1 %  which is even higher than Barca's. they're almost certain to make it to the round of 16 and will probably face weaker teams like brest or dortmund.

4- Real Madrid: The defenseless giant!
They're in a dangerous situation! with 16 th place, they're bound to miss the playoffs. If they win against juventus or celtic in the play-offs, they'll probably face Liverpool or barca again in the round of 16. In their previous three games against these two teams, they've conceded 11 goals and scored just 2! Their chance of winning is 6.5%, but everyone knows that Real are something else in the knockout stages... .

Interesting facts :
Atletico Madrid advanced to the next round with a 90th+3 minute goal from Julen Alvarez, giving them an 82% chance of directly advancing!
Man City are in 25 th place and if they can't beat Club Brugge, they'll be eliminated... I think Pep Guardiola won't be able to see the final again.

Actually what happened this season in the UCL is no different from what happened last season, last season madrid was not even a favourite after they were defeated by manchester city in the first leg and actually struggled when they also faced munchen in the semifinals, but in fact they still reached the final and also won the championship, besides that, wasn't last season arsenal more favoured than munchen who was in a slump?
But in fact munchen was able to reach the semifinals by eliminating arsenal in the quarterfinals, so I think in addition to performance and also the quality of the team, of course mentality is an important factor in competing in the UCL so far, it is undeniable that madrid currently has to fight hard to qualify for the playoffs, but when they make it to the last 16  then it will be difficult to stop them, because of their extraordinary mentality in the UCL so far.

There are always surprises in every match, and this is what makes football so interesting to watch. Even now the teams that have great dominance in the champions league, with the bar format applied this season, they really have difficulty advancing to the next round.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid, they do have a pretty good record in the champions league, even when people no longer believe in Real Madrid, they are able to reverse that assumption and become champions.

However, it cannot be denied that for this season, doubts about Real Madrid being able to lift the champions league trophy this season, still exist, including me who also doubt it. Plus now it is no longer valid regarding a trend that Real Madrid will never fail when they have reached the final, because in the Spanish Super Cup, Barcelona was able to break that trend.

The matches are very important here, which team will match which team, maybe we can see early finals.

The ranking is not in order this should have been Liverpool > Barcelona > Arsenal > Any other team.

I dont know why you include Real Madrid in this, perhaps you are one strong fan of Real Madrid and you think they will get back up to qualify for the semi finals. Well i am not in doubt but if they are still playing the way they are playing right now till then i will right them off to qualify. The first 3 teams i mentioned i have strong believe they will be playing against each other. I wish it will be Arsenal vs Barcelona in the finals.

And Arsenal is quoted on par with Real (as is Barcelona). In principle, it's a pretty old story - Real is always underestimated, but what did Arsenal show to be quoted so well? In my opinion, they are failing the season. By the way, it may be that such a difference in the chances of Liverpool and Real is explained by the simple fact that Real will most likely take part in the preliminary playoffs.
Those who don't understand Real Madrid will definitely be underestimated because they failed in several matches while Liverpool managed to bulldoze all the victories.

So don't be surprised if Real Madrid will be equal again with Liverpool in terms of odds.

Arsenal? I'm not sure they'll go any further in the end and will find themselves in a deadlock.

If we look today indeed at the position of the standings Liverpool, Barcelona are above and far from Real Madrid who will now try to enter the Play off in the champions league, but maybe there will be more trips that Real Madrid will get than others, talking about the opportunity of course if you look at the structure and condition of the team at this time Liverpool and also Barcelona have a bigger chance but what we share is Real Madrid the champion of the subscription in the champions league, they have the possibility to turn things around even though they are on the cutting edge.

Arsenal? I think we will always distrust them, the gunners they have a problem if they are at the top with hope that makes them always fail.

As the only team to have won all their games in the UEFA Champions League competition this season, I think it's understandable when people say that Liverpool are the biggest candidates to win the competition at the end of the season. That said, I think it's still early to predict who's gonna win the UEFA Champions League this season and that's because clubs like Real Madrid happens to be the most successful team in the competition are still very much in the competition. Also, there's Manchester City who are mathematically not out of the competition and if they should make it to the knockout stages, they'll also pose a big threat. I'm enjoying the competition this season if I must be honest but I think there's still very much to play and that's where I expect shocking results

The competition is very interesting this season; I think everyone enjoys how the competition is. However, you are right; with the way the competition is getting tougher, Liverpool's chances to win the trophy will not be much again, because there are teams that are going to be putting more pressure on the top spot also,

although Manchester City that you mention I won’t count among the teams that are going to get the title this season because of their performance. I think currently Liverpool is the only team that everybody is putting hope on. But still too early to predict, though.

Real Madrid is a club that can do anything at any time. Last season Real Madrid didn't have a quality finisher to catch, Real Madrid put a midfielder in that position as a finisher and we all know how Real Madrid performed and achieved last season. Maybe we haven't seen any performance from Real Madrid so far that based on performance we can say that Real Madrid will do well in Champions League this season too but trust this team this team will not let you down at all. When their backs are against the wall and they have no choice but to win, you will see this team winning one match after another. Although Real Madrid is not in a good position in the Champions League right now, I still keep Real Madrid ahead of all other teams and I still consider Real Madrid as the favorite team for the Champions League.

If you have a one of the best finishers in this world and you don't have the best that can help you protect your goalie from dangerous attacks, you will not win games. That's the difference between Real Madrid of last season and this season. Check the stat again, we are almost half way of the season, if you count the goals Bellingham has won this season and the one won last season, the difference is clear and that's because he is playing in between attack and defend together.

Unless Anceloti is able to work on that defense, Real Madrid will not go any far. Vinicious isn't even stable because I don't know exactly where he belongs, he was a beast last season in the Champions League but this season is not that legendary but at the same time he is not bad as well. I miss every way Real Madrid is playing, unlike last season that I can confidently bet on he outcome of their game, now I have to find a way to manipulate my ticket with other options.

Bruh, it was Salzburg! The team had one win and 5 losses before the match and -19 goals taken.
Claiming Real Madrid is a tournament winner but this is just as bad as claiming they will lose La Liga because Barcelona beat them, if we judge teams week after week and we consider just the last week's performance we will never get anywhere.

Indeed! Beating Salzburg in that way doesn't prove anything. Some other random club could have also done it honestly taking Salzburg's condition into account.  Smiley

Assessing a club by only one-week effort wouldn't be good, I agree. But if we consider Real Madrid's recent performances, they look promising at least for the La Liga trophy. For the Champions League, we need to see more of this especially against bigger clubs also.

Quote
Cause they're the only team that has won all 7 matches and the only team that is also first in both the national league and CL?
I mean, in my opinion, that's a pretty solid argument, not to mention they beat Madrid 2 to nil?

Liverpool have really had no match until this point. That win vs Real Madrid was gorgeous. You remember how dominant Liverpool were in that one, right?  Grin  Real Madrid would never be underestimated even in bad times but for now Liverpool are the closest to the trophy with this performance.

This season Real Madrid performances has be so poor in this champion league unlike last season that there performances was very powerful, the way there performances is going on currently in the Champions League i don’t think they can go anywhere this season if they continue playing in that way. But in football everything fit’s happen at any if possible and turn their performances in strong one by move to up to the 3rd or 4th places of the position, we shall see what they able to make there performances boost up.

Never underestimate Real Madrid as it's when you think that they can't do anything they turn things around shock every body to win the tournament. Real Madrid mightn't be playing as we expected but they're still good to qualify to the next stage of the tournament and when they do that then you'll see the real spirit behind the club as they'll begin to plan so well. It's already showing in their recent games. Look at how they destroyed the club that they played in their last champions league match. Scoring 5 goals and this isn't the first time that they're scoring this high in the champions league for this season. Real Madrid we always be favourite untill they get knockout.

As good as Bayern Munich is poised right now, no one would believe they could have been beaten with three straight goals to none by a club like Feyenoord. Could this defeat be caused by the smoke from flares that got into the pitch and made visibility almost difficult for the players. Although that caused the game to be suspended for minutes before they resumed again, not long ago, Gimenez made the Feyenoord team proud with his goal. The three goals scored by the team was stunning because everyone least expected this outcome and was marveled by the end of the game. Both Kane and Jamal Musiala made great attempts to net the ball for the Bayern side but both great opportunities were thwarted by the goal keepers proactiveness to protect their goals.
This will be the most shocking defeat in the yesterday game to be honest. Bayern Munich being unable to score is really a shocking one aside the lost, I wonder how many would have expected the BTTS to fail on this match.

I hope they can become better and avoid any shocking defeat again in order to qualify for the next stage with ease rather than seeing themselves in the play off.

This was an unexpected result. Surely a lot of gamblers lost money in this match. Naturally, we considered Bayern Munich as the favorite in this match. Because Feyenoord is not considered a very strong team. Feyenoord is a mediocre team.

Bayern Munich dominated the match. Bayern Munich players had 80% of the ball possession. However, Munich's defense was weak. Feyenoord players attacked too much. However, the team was more focused on scoring goals than counterattacking. Feyenoord players were able to make several strong counterattacks and the team was able to score goals.

Feyenoord was very tactical in this match. Feyenoord played a somewhat defensive strategy. On the other hand, Bayern Munich played a completely attacking strategy but could not score a single goal. This was a big failure for Bayern Munich.

People who underestimate Madrid, they are just like Madrid haters. They will say something that may seem bad without seeing how Madrid performed and experienced they were in the UCL. Now we can see how Madrid looks now and their performance has started to recover even though they are still missing some of Ancelotti's mainstay defenders.

Yesterday both Milan and Inter did their duty as Italian teams by winning and dreaming of the round of 16.
I find Inter really coherent and they are working very well in the championship.
On the other hand, i find it absurd that AC Milan are defending themselves very well in the cup and are playing well.
Fortune? Who knows

I agree with you, Milan seems to have two faces, a good one for the cups and a bad one for the championship, I can't explain why, before I thought the problem was the coach but now I think the problem was something else, maybe a lack of athleticism, I don't know! The important thing is that all the Italian teams do well in the Champions League, be it Milan, Inter, Juventus or Atalanta, we need to keep the UEFA ranking high

Exactly, incredible how badly you play in the league. However, it must be said that the lack of character of the previous coach, Fonseca, pays.
In and of himself i don't think he was a bad coach, however he had little character and the players consequently didn't listen to him much.
The current one looks like a sergeant in comparison.

As people here are talking about Real Madrid chance to win the title, I think it's worth mentioning that Bookmakers still believe that Real Madrid has a big chance to win the title.
I just checked the odds and only Liverpool had lower odds than Real Madrid.

Currently, the odds for Liverpool to win the title are 5 and for Real Madrid are 7. Arsenal and Barcelona have the same odds as Real Madrid.

Personally, I think that this team is the favorite for this year's Champions League title. Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Liverpool is in great form in this year's Champions League. Liverpool is playing well in every match of the Champions League. Also, Liverpool's players have played very well in the Premier League. On the other hand, Barcelona is also doing very well on the Champions League platform. Although the Real Madrid team is now a little behind in the Champions League, this team has the ability to do better. With the help of Ancelotti, the Madrid team is now in a very stable position. We can see good performance from Mbappe, Vinicius and Bellingham in every match. At the same time, Rodrygo is also playing very well. Hopefully, we will see a stronger performance from Madrid in the knockout round.

I'm sorry, but adding Arsenal to the Championship ranking is criminal. I'd rather take Intermilan who has proven their quality instead of a club with no winning mentality, they never ever won UCL as well.  Cheesy Cheesy

What a joke is this? Aren't you watching them last season?  Cheesy Cheesy

I could agree about putting Real and Liverpool as champion, and Barcelona is sounds good enough, but Arsenal? What the hell is that?
Yeah I have the same view as you, no disrespect to Arsenal, but it's clear why Arsenal can't get into the title race. Mentality. As you said, they don't have it, I think putting Bayern Munich and Inter Milan sounds more reasonable than Arsenal.

Sorry to the Gunners fans. Wink

I wouldn't have had doubt that Real Madrid is capable of defending the title and win it for the 15th times, but the fact is that they are not strong enough to make that happen. This is because Barcelona will be a big problem for them to defeat. Barcelona can become an hinderance to them on defending the title, because Ancelotti haven't gotten the right strategy which his men can use to outperform Barcelona. Only if a Real Madrid will not clash with Barcelona till the end of the league.
You don't need to worry about that because what is seen now in Real Madrid and also Barcelona will not last forever like that until the end of the season. I am still quite sure that Ancelotti will find a more appropriate formula and tactics to be able to excel better than other teams including excelling from the Barcelona team itself. Because if Real Madrid succeeds in getting the UCL trophy again this season, of course the trophy is the 16th trophy Because so far Real Madrid has collected 15 UCL trophies including the one they got last season.
