From the current top 15 in Champions League table, the only unknown team is Brest which currently at 5th position.

Brest might be the luckiest team, they match with 5 mediocre teams and 3 strong teams, they managed to secure draw against Leverkusen, so there are only 2 strong teams left.

Barcelona collected what would probably be considered an important victory to them. Having gone for so long without beating Bayern, the curse was finally broken that string of bad records. From 16 previous encounters between the two sides, Barcelona had only managed 3 wins compared to 2 draws and 11 victories for Bayern. So, this win is about much more than just three points but about raising the morale of a team that has always found it hard to beat Bayern. It may just be the push they need to take them even further in this competition.

Finally Barcelona could break the bad result streak when playing against Bayer Munich after not being able to win for a long time. I see Barcelona's performance this season under Hansi Flick is very different from the previous Barcelona because Hansi Flick does not rely on ball possession but wants to be effective in every opportunity he has and that can be seen from the statistics against Bayer Munich where Barcelona lost in ball possession but in terms of opportunities Barcelona was very effective from 4 shots on target all became goals. This is Champions League and one should always expect surprises because that's football for you. Barcelona is not a small club neither are they weak, and that's why I am not bothered on their victory over Bayern, but was I was shocked at was the way Barcelona make proper use of their chances to net their opponents. I think Kompany needs to work on his defense because they were too weak for Barcelona strikers and vulnerable to counter attacks. We haven't seen anything yet, because it is in the round of 16 that more action, surprises and thrills will be in.

Kompany is passionate about the game, sometimes it seems that he has not yet switched from thinking like a player to thinking like a coach, and Barcelona were better that evening, they played great and used the moments they had. Bayern made a few mistakes in defense and Barcelona with such a good attack of course took advantage of it. I don't know what conclusion Kompany can draw from this match, Barcelona with Flick are a really good team, but Bayern should not have lost with such a score, they are not so bad to concede 4 goals.
