Turns out it only took one Conor Bradley to shut Mbappe down. We still forgive Moh Salah for missing a penalty, but I'm not sure Madrid fans will forgive Mbappe for missing a penalty. 3 points brought Liverpool back to the top of the table and now 2 leagues have been secured by Liverpool perfectly (Top of the Premier League and Top of the Champion League). A very special win for Liverpool as the last time they won was in 2009.
Mbappé is being criticized because he was not good throughout the match. He also made some mistakes that prevented the team from increasing in the attacking area. He could not make passes that were suitable for the conditions that the players were making forward. Real Madrid got lost on the field. Liverpool in England showed once again with this victory that they are the leaders of the Champions League. I cannot think that there will be a team that can beat them with this game. They have achieved an incredibly good harmony.
Regarding Mbappe, besides playing badly, it is clear that he has mental problems. Because many people have high hopes for him but so far he has not made a significant contribution to Real Madrid and now he also can't do anything against Liverpool. The most surprising thing is after Mbappe missed the penalty, his mentality was even more destroyed but Ancelotti did not replace him, Carlo let Kylian's mentality erode for 90 minutes. I don't know how Mbappe will cope in the future but hopefully he can solve that problem.

On the other hand. Finally Liverpool not only won against Real Madrid, but they won impressively. They were able to pressure Real Madrid in this match without any significant chances from Real Madrid other than the penalty and that was thwarted. Liverpool in this match looked very clever in exploiting the opponent's weaknesses, and now they have collected 5 wins from 5 matches which makes them perfect at the top of the standings. Yes, that's right. This is Liverpool's first win over Real Madrid since 2009, an extraordinary wait.

Real Madrid team wasted the most opportunities in this match, which made Real Madrid fans angry with Real Madrid. Because all the gamblers who bet on Real Madrid team lost incredibly in this match and lost their bets. I think Real Madrid fans will never forgive because Real Madrid team players missed penalties, although Real Madrid team only attacked 8 times in the whole match and the opposing team Liverpool attacked 17 times.

Here is a huge gap but Liverpool team was able to score two goals, in this case Real Madrid team missed penalties, they showed more failures this season. Liverpool team won five consecutive matches this season but Real Madrid team lost two matches, and at this opportunity Liverpool team occupies the first place in the points table.

The defeat from Liverpool makes it even more difficult for Madrid at the moment to qualify automatically for the round of 16, as the favorite team to win the championship, of course it is very miserable what is happening to them at the moment with two consecutive defeats in the UCL, Mbappe arrival to Madrid previously has given us a lot of great hope for us to see Madrid as the one who has a very sharp attack,  But precisely the arrival of Mbappe has given a new problem for Ancelotti at this time, Mbappe has not been able to show sharpness as a striker, so Many think that adaptation is his main problem at the moment, but as a star player does he need a lot of time to adapt?
I don't think it's an adaptation problem, Mbappe has played a lot of games and it's clear that he has a very good relationship with the players in the team during training, so I think it's just his form at the moment and he needs to work to improve it. He scores goals, I understand that more was expected of him, but for now this is his level. Real is currently in 24th place, it's on the verge of qualifying, but I remember that they had difficult group stages, but then everything got better, but this time there are a lot of injured players, which will complicate everything.

Real Madrid, which immediately fell in ranking to 24th and is the ranking at the end of the play-off zone after their defeat against Liverpool, is quite sad. This is not like Real Madrid. It's just that we don't know what surprising things Real Madrid will do. because I hope this team can immediately get up and win all the remaining matches. because if not then Real Madrid could even be eliminated from the Play-off Zone too. And it seems that it will be quite difficult for us to believe.

We were all initially looking forward to Mbappe's arrival at Real Madrid, which we hoped would make Real Madrid even sharper in attack. But now what is happening is the opposite. Real Madrid is a team that is not very sharp in attack at the moment. Especially after Vini Jr was injured. Mbappe has not shown the quality he has seen so far at PSG and in his own national team. But at Real Madrid we haven't seen that.

As a professional footballer and one of the best players in the world, I think it's only natural. We all know how sharp Mbappe is on the field, he is a goal scoring machine for PSG. And now he is wearing the Real Madrid uniform, the best team in the world that he has always dreamed of playing there, when one of the best players in the world joins the best team in the world, of course there is an expectation that Real Madrid will be even more unmatched. However, the reality is not in accordance with expectations, Madrid is actually starting to slump, especially in the UCL league.

In the match against Liverpool, this should have been an opportunity for Mbappe to show his abilities as a left striker. This is the position he has always wanted, but the coach preferred to entrust it to VInicius Jr. When facing Liverpool, Vinicius junior was injured so his position was replaced by Mbappe, but it was very unfortunate that in that match Mbappe performed poorly and was unable to score a single goal.

Though it's normal for high expectations to be placed on mbappe by his new club Real Madrid after all he is a star and many people will be expecting him to perform magic which in the other hand is not possible, this has always been the problem, once a team is in a misform, there is nothing any one good player could do, for me mbappe can't do anything right now and unless they club fully bounce back to their fully, the UEFA champions league is not favouring Real Madrid presently and again the people they faced this time which is Liverpool are not joking both in their league and the UEFA championships legaue, if not for the penalty missed by both teams atleast madrid would have had 1 goal which would resulted the match to end in 3:1 defeat against them still it would have not made any difference but bettors that played BTTS would have benefited too that's funny, it's really unfortunate that Real Madrid is in this kind mess.

Mbappe will always be the talk as usual as far as the expectations from him is high, just saying we never can tell if the pressure on him was what made him to miss the penalty but who's pressuring him in the first place when he has signed that this what wants, though I was just thinking much, be it as it may,  i hope he improves because realistically he isn't doing great for his club right now.

This is exactly the image I'm talking about, I'm actually as curious as you, I actually want to no what happened to Pep Guardiola because he did not fought with anybody on the field and the bruises did not look like something that happens unintentional because there is blood on his nose,
I think he deliberately decided to hurt himself considering the fact that his team has been on a losing spree for the last couple of matches and the draw he had wasn't his expectation. However if this images are true then Pep Guardiola needs some psychological evaluation because somebody needs a therapy here,

I have not actually heard about coach hurting himself because of couple of matches he has been losing, if he deliberately did it to himself then he needs help from psychologist who focus on such area, I no that Pep Guardiola is someone who get emotional but I never thought of him that way, however having win so many trophies in Manchester City should have been a thing of joy that should have supersede the angers he is feeling right now because if he should feel this way because of the current performance of Manchester City imagine what he would have done if he was to be in the shoe of Manchester United coach.
That means you have not watched Jose Mourinho and the ATM coach when they are losing against any team, these men have great passion for their teams and they are ready to do anything just to win games even though it means getting a red card for their actions, Pep Guardiola is a good coach who has been outstanding in performance with his Manchester City team and having lost in most of his recent games and coming to play a 3:3 draw in his last champions League match I think he felt very sad that was why he was scratching his head with his fingers that led to his injury. The passion and the love he has for the Guy team mae him to do what he did not like Erik Ten hag who felt nothing even when his team was losing matches back to back.

Lol, that image got me cracking 🤣. I still think kylian mbappé still needs time to blend properly with the Madrid team, I remember in the early days when Ronaldo moved to Madrid, he faced similar challenges, as he was still struggling to battle and blend with the team, there was a lot criticism towards him back then as he was not meeting to a lot of people's expectations.
Of course we understand that the penalty miss by mbappé was a shocker to everyone, however we should also look at this contribution during that game as he was not entirely bad in his contribution.
I agree with you, Mbappe or even a quality player definitely needs a lot of time to be able to make a maximum contribution. Maybe right now Mbappe doesn't look strong, but I'm sure he will be a reliable player in the future.
On the one hand, Mbappe has just joined a big team that has always been able to win the UCL title and this sometimes becomes a little mental pressure because initially he was only with a small team in league 1 and now he has to have a big mentality when he is with Madrid.
He just needs more time on the field to grow his mentality.

Personally, I think Conor Bradley should have won the man if the match award last night for putting out such an incredible person against one of best footballers on the planet in the person of Kylian Mbappe. The young Liverpool lad was able to silence the France national team captain and stopped him from creating chances in the game as well as scoring. I think at the moment, it's safe to say that Liverpool right back position is very safe even without Trent Alexander-Arnold. Great performance from all the Liverpool players last night I must say

Liverpool was able to frustrate Madrid yesterday in Anfield and there was nothing Madrid players could do about it and Mbappe messed up the little chance that they would have used to put themselves back into the game. In the first half, Madrid played better than the second half. Don't say that Liverpool will not be defeated  because they have a rival in this competition, which is Atalanta.
Los Blancos are ranked 24th position on the UEFA Champions League table and that's absolutely zero improvement for defending Champions. The team have to put things together and then go all in for accumulating three points, not this week but definitely, in the coming weeks. Carlo Ancelotti trying his best to rearrange his players because most of them are absent and we know how difficult it's been with the club. On the contrary, what do you expect from handicap Real Madrid at Anfield? Their main players are injured, thereby reducing their odds of striving for winning. We know the hurdles coming the pathway of Real Madrid this season. They're unable to match the desirable energy and that's absolutely not the streak pattern for Carlo Ancelotti. Arne Slot was prepared, he dismantle the crucial defendlines of the visitors with his formidable squad last night.

High expectations on Mbappe which has turned to become a big burden on him is mainly not unconnected to the elaborated signing about his move from PSG to Real Madrid. The media never took it like a regular signing of a winger from one club to another and that made the fans raise their hopes on his performance to be something extraordinary when he has to play in Real Madrid jersey.

I think there's so much time for him to prove his quality and definitely not this season being his first season with Madrid. By next season he should have found a soft landing with his confidence on how to go about with all the expectations and how to deal with it both in and outside the pitch.

He really seems to have some mental problems at Real Madrid now. He still can't get over them and it affects his performance directly. He missed a penalty against Liverpool in a really critical time for example.  Sad
I think on this it's more appealing to use the word psychological issues than mental problems. I am less worried about Mbappe missing that penalty kick last night because any player can miss a penalty kick at any time even Salah did missed too in that game with his ball hitting the woodwork. Am more concerned about his overall performance in matches since he got to Real Madrid.

Quote
I watched a video clip showing before the game in which Mbappe was trying to talk to Bellingham but neither he nor Rüdiger talked to him. They acted like he was a ghost. I wonder whether there is something broken in their relationship.

In this game, Real Madrid couldn't play the way they wanted. If Vinicius Junior wasn't injured then we could have watched them more effective in the attacking line. It was an easy win for Liverpool.

You would have attached a link to this video clip you referring to. In view of that, am skeptical how that could be true for teammates that fighting on a uniform interest a cordial relationship among them should be there strength. Perhaps it's just the way you look at it.

Assuming Vini Jnr was present in that game it would have been a different ball game for Liverpool as the duo of Vinicius and Mbappe would have been a bigger force for Liverpool to contain than just Mbappe. Hopefully in the second leg we will see an entirely different Madrid with Vini Jnr available by then.

I think Mbappe's mentality is too burdened by the huge expectations that many people have for him and this seems to have an effect on his mentality on the field. Just look at the look on Mbappe's face during the match. Always seems tense or nervous. I don't see any calm in his game. Different from Mbappe when he was still playing at PSG. I think he is too burdened with the high hopes of everyone who demands that he become a prominent football star according to everyone's expectations. This is different from Cristiano Ronaldo, who has a very strong mentality. In fact, he always seems unaffected by any criticism about himself and instead he always seems to be more enthusiastic about proving that he is indeed great. I'm sure Mbappe has extraordinary skills but I suspect he has problems regarding his own confidence at the moment.
High expectations on Mbappe which has turned to become a big burden on him is mainly not unconnected to the elaborated signing about his move from PSG to Real Madrid. Ancelotti to Mbappe after the match ends.

Speaking about Mabape. I think he is getting more and more frustrated in each game. He has failed to be the striker that he wants to be in Real Madrid. This is not the picture he had for himself when signing that contract. Big disappointment to him today as he failed to score the only opportunity Real Madrid had to come back in the game. Am surprised he was under so much pressure in the game.
Many people now consider Mbappe to be the next Hazard because he perform really well when he was in previous team, but now his performance is really terrible in Real Madrid. Mbappe need to lower his ego, in UEFA Nations League, he never played for France.

I think Mbappe lost his confidence, you know Mbappe never failed in professional career, he always perform for Monaco, PSG and France, unfortunately he struggle when he was on the top, which make him harder to overcome it.
Lol, that image got me cracking 🤣. Of course we understand that the penalty miss by mbappé was a shocker to everyone, however we should also look at this contribution during that game as he was not entirely bad in his contribution.

We should not also forget that Real Madrid faced a stronger opponent, so most of those things they could easily do with a lesser team wasn't possible with Liverpool, so despite the criticism we should also look at who they were up against, as it will help us give a balance sense of judgment.

I think Endrick probably deserves to play in the first 11 instead of Mbappé. We can say that Mbappé played the worst match of his career yesterday. He was quite ineffective against Liverpool and also missed a penalty. It would not be wrong to say that yesterday's match was a nightmare for Real Madrid. If Mbappé played the leading role in this, the rest of the team were the other factors. Also, I did not see any players playing well other than Camavinga.

Even if Ancelotti has failed to start Endrick in the majority of recent games, I do not blame him. Endrick is not as powerful as Mbappe, and he is still a young player. Endrick requires more time to build himself as a starter because Real Madrid currently has the best players in every position. Mbappe will not be affected if Ancelotti starts Endrick against Liverpool because he played as a right winger when Vinicius was unable to participate. However, yesterday was the worst game of Mbappe's career.

I blame myself for watching Real Madrid play Liverpool since I wasn't even annoyed by their defeat against AC Milan in the same way that they lost by two goals to Liverpool. I'm not sure why Mbappe chose to join Real Madrid when he wasn't prepared to help them win games. Many people believe we haven't seen Mbappe at his best on the field since Vinicius played his position. However, yesterday, when Vinicius was not around to demonstrate his skills, Mbappe just played poorly and missed a penalty. Mbappe is always hungry to score goals and never slows down when playing. I can't wait for Vinicuis to return.

Madrid were outclassed in midfield and were unable to control the ball well. Modric was dropped a little further back and that gave him a tough task to distribute the ball forward and also block the flow of Liverpool's attack who had good possession in midfield.
Madrid were outclassed in every way in the match, and it will be Ancelotti's job to solve their problems against teams in the Champions League. Will Madrid be like Man City?

If Erik ten Hag was to be Carlo Ancelotti, he would have been dragged and at same time called incompetent by moat of 5hese posters on here. Whenever a squad is not doing well, then the manager is doing something wrong,  lots blaming Kylian Mbappe and Co's but don't forget to look  at how the manager set his team up. I know he has a couple injured midfielders but props to Liverpool, they're officially the best club in the world.

In the case of Madrid, of course, Ancelotti must be the one who is also blamed for their performance. Of course,e the results were not expected in the Champions League from Ancelotti and the squad. Now he must be quite stressed with the results obtained. The injuries of several players certainly made it quite difficult for him. he was forced to create a strategy that might be difficult for the players on the field to carry out. Now he must see how important it is to give enough playing minutes to each of his players. it is not only a matter of avoiding injured players, but also providing players to be ready to face the game of a stronger team.

Liverpool is awesome because finally they can ended their poor results from Real Madrid yesterday and this winning result is special because Liverpool did that at Anfield and what i was like from Liverpool last night is their players can makes Mbappe can't do anything that he was deadlock and Mbappe seems performing just like mediocre player and this result makes Real Madrid in the serious problem because they only collect 6 points from 5 matches but for Liverpool they were still able to managed their winning streak with collect 15 points
It was a surprise to see Liverpool win against Real Madrid, as goals from Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo made it 2-0. This result adds to Liverpool's winning streak, and Liverpool only need one point to qualify for the round of 16.

I think this match was too dominated by Liverpool, how not, Liverpool managed to release 17 attempts and 7 of them were on target, while Real Madrid could only release 8 attempts and only 3 on target. Before the match started i thought that the match would end in a draw or maybe dominated by Real Madrid, but apparently not. Anyway, congratulations to Liverpool for this meaningful win.

But in the interview after the match he seemed to say it was done by himself. But if we pay attention to Pep's expression during the match then we can see that he occasionally scratches his head. And I think he did it quite hard, especially when he saw that Man City kept conceding in the remaining time of the match. He probably just felt annoyed with what was happening on the field at that time because it was hard to believe that Man City had conceded 3 goals in just about 15 minutes and caused them to have to settle for a draw. Well that's really quite upsetting to us. So I understand how Pep feels.

Reference: https://www.footboom1.com/id/news/football/2108334-fans-concerned-as-guardiola-addresses-cuts-and-bruises-on-live-tv
If I remember correctly, Guardiola scratched his head after conceding the first goal. It was like a harbinger of the other goals. In the end, they conceded three goals in the match and drew the match. No one expected such a bad result from a team like Manchester City. The possibility of a three-goal lead and a draw was really low. Feyenoord should also be congratulated for this. They never gave up the game and believed in a draw. They fully deserved the point they earned.
Well that's it guys and I don't think it was a one time thing. And I don't think it's a matter of psychological disorders or anything, but it's a normal thing where we will definitely feel quite annoyed and we will unconsciously express it in almost the same way. So yeah the news about this is just overblown. Because I'm sure Pep did it accidentally because he was too caught up in the atmosphere of the match.

Sometimes when I watch football and my favorite team loses, sometimes I will unconsciously pat myself on the head. And sometimes a little ruffling my hair personally. And Pep does normal things like normal people. And another example is when our favorite team gets a chance to score a goal, sometimes our body can automatically stand up or lift our body a little and when the attack fails we will be carried away and will unconsciously fall back into the chair. Well, it's a kind of reflex, I guess.
