Bayern Munich will likely go far in the tournament but Manchester City are having a difficult time currently and this has been the most shocking performance drop we have noticed on the club for quite a long time, up or over a decade especially after the arrival of Pep af their manager but now things are not just working out. They may not be able to get a win against club Brugge though except they step and this might be influenced by their recent signings to improve their squad. Anyway, I don't really rate Man City more as before this season but expect them to bounce back maybe at most next season.
The 8th match is the peak that must be maximized by each team, therefore Club Brugge will not hesitate to bring out all the abilities they have. Although not the status of a seeded team, it does not mean that Club Brugge can be easily defeated by Manchester City. All teams including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Dortmund, Juventus, PSG and several teams that are not seeded because they occupy the play-off position will choose to defend, so Manchester City has even less chance of qualifying.

I admire Real Madrid. They are a winner in the Champions League and they still have the biggest number of trophies in the competition by far.  Smiley

But for this season, it is really hard to believe in them for now. They didn't have a good start. Yeah they destroyed Salzburg but everyone can to tell the truth. You know they are one of the most terrible teams here.

I see Liverpool one step ahead. Ancelotti needs to show us much better things in playoffs. It is where we see Real Madrid's real power.  Wink

Even though Real Madrid are not doing well at this stage and will probably go through the play offs, Real Madrid will still be a candidate to play in the final. If you look at the last few seasons, Real Madrid have not always had impressive results in the early rounds of the Champions League, but when Real Madrid have qualified for the knockout stages over the last few seasons, Real Madrid have still managed to get good results.

Thus, don't get too hung up just because Real Madrid aren't doing well at this stage, and then maybe many will underestimate Real Madrid or assume Real Madrid won't go far. Real Madrid is still a team with great potential to go further in the Champions League, because they also have a great mentality. I personally would doubt Liverpool to be able to play in the final match, because I believe the good results they have in this phase are not a guarantee for them to continue to have impressive results in the knockout phase later.
Madrid when doubted actually impress us more, they already know how to face the Champions League atmosphere. All clubs in Europe know that if they want to win the UCL trophy, the first thing they have to do is get rid of Real Madrid and as long as Madrid still qualifies regardless of how you are going to face many surprises if you face them, Man City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Inter, Dortmund, and AC Milan have felt it.

Real Madrid is not in good form and they couldn't get good results recently especially because of them having many injured players they are not the same good Real Madrid we saw before and they could not even have good experience in La Liga.

We know Real Madrid is known for their good performance in the Champions League but maybe this time we are going to have another team like Liverpool win the title because of the performance we have seen from this team so far in the Premier League. However, if Carlo Ancelotti loses the title of the Champions League, considering the players he got he can be under pressure.

Conceding 13 goals and getting 2 wins from 7 matches is indeed a very bad result for a big team like Man City. While in its previous reputation Man City is a very strong team and has extraordinary experience. So this season is a very deep decline in performance for Man City. But regarding the next match, I still believe City can beat Club Brugge. Because it makes no sense if Man City cannot qualify from the group stage while that is the last reputation for Man City. So in the last match later even though City is not in its best form, I still support Man City to win and qualify for the play-off round.

For now we cannot expect more on Manchester City I mean they are really difficult to predict, as we know they can't beat the teams under them based on the level like against Feyenoord 3-3 then against Sporting 4-1 well I'm just worried they have difficulty defeating Club Brugge especially Club Brugge played well in the last 4 matches in the Champions League by collecting 8 points from 4 matches. I did not say Manchester City were defeated but there was a possibility both teams drew because the Club Brugge  defense is pretty good.

The situation is worse for Manchester City because they have 2 important matches in the Premier League against Chelsea and Arsenal so that it will have an impact on Manchester City performance in the Champions League I mean there is a risk of injury or tired.

I saw only the outcome of the game and I was shocked by the result with a lot of respect to Feyenoord which are safe right now from direct elimination at least.
The other game that surprised me is the one between Manchester City and PSG, because the number of goals received by Manchester City exactly and because of City risking to be kicked from the competition if they fail to win in the next match.
Terrible performance by these two teams and I hope they could reach finals in this new version because it doesn't look to be promising..
It will be quite difficult to reach the final with teams like PSG and Manchester City because in the Champions League all teams always need deep improvements from each match so PSG and Manchester City must also do that before it is too late. Because it is true as you said that Manchester City must be able to win their next match which is a decisive match to be able to qualify for the playoffs and compete again there in order to qualify for the round of 16. That is why I said it is enough for them to reach the final because considering the condition of both teams is still not good in the Champions League this season.

Real Madrid is a club that can do anything at any time. Last season Real Madrid didn't have a quality finisher to catch, Real Madrid put a midfielder in that position as a finisher and we all know how Real Madrid performed and achieved last season. Maybe we haven't seen any performance from Real Madrid so far that based on performance we can say that Real Madrid will do well in Champions League this season too but trust this team this team will not let you down at all. When their backs are against the wall and they have no choice but to win, you will see this team winning one match after another. Although Real Madrid is not in a good position in the Champions League right now, I still keep Real Madrid ahead of all other teams and I still consider Real Madrid as the favorite team for the Champions League.
The brilliance amongst Madrid players make them appear very much fierce even In their domestic league and the champions league but then again in football over the years I have learnt not to express absolute certainty because it does comes with too many uncertainties.  Since mbappe joined the club they seem to appear like they have solved the problem of a fi finisher but they are yet to have a perfect harmony in the team and so that may be the challenge they may face in the matches ahead,  except the coach is building a strategic tactics to take care of that as most of their key injured players are returning back.

Madrid has always been the favorite to win the Champions League this season because I am confident that Real Madrid will definitely qualify to the round of 16, and they will succeed in the play-offs because I don't see any tough club that will meet Madrid in that stage that can defeat them.

No, they have not, at the start of the Cl Liverpool was 9/2 while Real Madrid was 13/2.
Also, between those 16 teams, they will face Lille, which beat them, and also a ton of others like PSG, Juve, and Bayern, and the moment you lose to Lille and Milan for example I don't think you can be that sure you;re going to beat the others.

So everyone talking about the favorites should go back and check the odds in November, it was still Liverpool leading and Real Madrid was the 5th option.

Real Madrid is the team for the champions league, they have proven to be the best when it comes to the champions league competition even when they have failed in some matches we still accord them the respect as the teams they face always play with caution knowing that Real Madrid can surprise them even in their poor performance. Real Madrid has made so many teams but to have the champions league trophy in their history it is no longer hidden that for any team to be successful and win the champions league the team has to either eliminate Real Madrid or prey for another team to eliminate them because they are the best when it comes to playing well and winning on the competition. From the list of teams you mentioned, I think adding Atletico Madrid would be good because ATM suffered so much in the hands of Real Madrid especially when C Ronaldo was in the team.

This was an unexpected result. Surely a lot of gamblers lost money in this match. Naturally, we considered Bayern Munich as the favorite in this match. Because Feyenoord is not considered a very strong team. Feyenoord is a mediocre team.

Bayern Munich dominated the match. Bayern Munich players had 80% of the ball possession. However, Munich's defense was weak. Feyenoord players attacked too much. However, the team was more focused on scoring goals than counterattacking. Feyenoord players were able to make several strong counterattacks and the team was able to score goals.

Feyenoord was very tactical in this match. Feyenoord played a somewhat defensive strategy. On the other hand, Bayern Munich played a completely attacking strategy but could not score a single goal. This was a big failure for Bayern Munich.
I must say Bayern Munich defense far from what it was before to be honest, this is an obvious fact.

Anyway I think the beat way to defeat bigger teams is with a good defence and a good tactics whereby if the underdog can maximise their chances can get a win or at least a draw against any top team. Feyenoord pulled this off all eyes will be on them in their next match though which is against Lille, the two teams are a dangerous one as an underdog in this tournament.

Let the two underdogs meet so that we can see what the outcome of the game will be. They have been playing exceptionally well in the champions league and their performances have paved way for them to have come this far.  Bayern Munich defeat was a big surprise but underdogs are very hard to predict and until when the damage is done before you’ll realize where the mistakes are coming from. Feyenoord may not be able to withstand Bayern Munich for the second time if they meet again, but for this meeting, they already outsmarted Bayern Munich and won their biggest points in the competition against a big team.

We have been able to see the success of Real Madrid in their last match against Salzburg in the champions league and they really destroyed them as expected. If they had not won that match, their hope in the champions league next round may have left them and they may not be able to continue in the journey with others.

This season has been a tough one for them especially in the champions league that’s why they’re in such a terrible state that they fear been eliminated from the competition this early. Like you said, Ancelotti needs to show his best now, we’ve known him to be a great coach in the champions league and always prevail no matter the circumstance that they may face. This is another moment to show his best in the league and the manager of the team with most champions league trophies.

This year's biggest candidate for the championship is definitely Liverpool, but no one knows what will happen in the final.

The matches are very important here, which team will match which team, maybe we can see early finals.

My championship ranking is as follows.
Liverpool > Real Madrid > Barcelona > Arsenal
As the only team to have won all their games in the UEFA Champions League competition this season, I think it's understandable when people say that Liverpool are the biggest candidates to win the competition at the end of the season. That said, I think it's still early to predict who's gonna win the UEFA Champions League this season and that's because clubs like Real Madrid happens to be the most successful team in the competition are still very much in the competition. Also, there's Manchester City who are mathematically not out of the competition and if they should make it to the knockout stages, they'll also pose a big threat. I'm enjoying the competition this season if I must be honest but I think there's still very much to play and that's where I expect shocking results

More exciting and serious drama we will know after this qualifying phase is over, any team that enters will fight to win even though they have to be willing to appear all out in every match. so far Liverpool is a consistent team, so it is natural that they are included in the category of candidate candidates in the fight for the trophy this season. if Liverpool is able to complete one remaining match with a win, then they are the most perfect team in the group stage. but the real match is the knockout round, each team is not only required to play well but the luck factor also plays a role, it is not certain that Liverpool can easily get through it. but at least they are currently the best, so it is natural that they are included in the category of one of the strong challenger teams.

The competition is very interesting this season; I think everyone enjoys how the competition is. However, you are right; with the way the competition is getting tougher, Liverpool's chances to win the trophy will not be much again, because there are teams that are going to be putting more pressure on the top spot also,

although Manchester City that you mention I won’t count among the teams that are going to get the title this season because of their performance. I think currently Liverpool is the only team that everybody is putting hope on. But still too early to predict, though.

Considering the way the game will be at the round of 16, it might change for Liverpool. I know many people have higher hopes for Liverpool to win the trophy, but this is the Champions League, we always see what we don't expect, especially from Real Madrid. But if it is based on the performance that Liverpool is playing, they will have a higher hope of making it to the semifinals, but to the finals, I can’t say, because I don’t have that much hope in Liverpool to win the Champions League considering other domestic leagues that Liverpool is struggling to see they meet up to the champions of the title also.

For Manchester City, I don’t think anyone will talk about them anymore knowing that they will not be able to achieve anything as long as the season is concerned after seeing the sad defeat they got against PSG a couple of days back.

Those who don't understand Real Madrid will definitely be underestimated because they failed in several matches while Liverpool managed to bulldoze all the victories.

So don't be surprised if Real Madrid will be equal again with Liverpool in terms of odds.

Arsenal? I'm not sure they'll go any further in the end and will find themselves in a deadlock.
Not underestimating Realmadrid , felt a little for Salzburg though they’ve faced a lot of big teams in UCL and each win has been 3+ more goals upto 6 goals ( vs Bayern), leverkusen also gave them 5 goals same so I wasn’t expecting that much with Realmadrid and then they will be facing Athletico next ( elimination confirmed for them already Cheesy).
I wouldn’t be surprised if Relamadrid eventually make it to the round of 16 but Liverpool looks determined with it this time around, at least Realmadrid need to make it through the Knockout stage first then we could be thinking about them eliminating a team like Liverpool and btw they didn’t managed to do it they are just determined, did it with full confidence..

Bayern Munich, Leverkusen, and now Real Madrid have all been terrible luck for Salzburg. That sounds like a nightmare mix full of teams that will make you look bad for no reason. They press hard and run like crazy, but when Vinicius or Rodrygo gets going, you can see their defense fall apart like a deck of cards. To be honest, Salzburg has guts, but that's not enough to stop a 5-1 loss

And Atletico? Their "elimination" hasn't been confirmed yet. Simeone lives for these gritty, nasty games. There are a lot of stars at Real Madrid, like Mbappé and Bellingham, but Atletico loves nothing more than showing up late to a party. But Madrid is goddamn strong in the Champions League. Most teams lose when they smell blood in the knockout rounds. Liverpool should know: how many times has Real Madrid kicked them out? Arne Slot needs to spend a lot of time thinking about that middle if it happens again

Based on the statistics and performance of all the Champions League contestants this season, Liverpool deserves to be placed in first place in the list of favorite teams to win. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and even Arsenal in my opinion have the same big chance, and they deserve to be placed in the next position. It is true, it is still too early to identify who will succeed in winning the trophy this season, because the Champions League is still in the League Phase stage.

Experienced teams, and have even squad depth, will be more favored when they succeed in reaching the knockout system, maybe the atmosphere will return to the same as in previous seasons. Before getting there, maybe there will be many more surprises presented in the 8th round and the play-off round, teams like Manchester City are also very likely to rise again to secure their place in the last 16.
