Cristiano Ronaldo's leaving Real Madrid didn't affect them too badly at all. Many people expected them to be in a worse condition after he left but Real Madrid still managed to stay strong. They became the champions in the Champions League too. This proves how much awesome team Real Madrid are now. Barcelona didn't experience the same thing after Messi left the team. They struggled a lot for some time and they are newly recovering now. It is really good to see Real Madrid like this because it proves that they aren't dependent on one player.
This is a misconception, because it took Real Madrid three years to win the Champions League title again, especially at the cost of incredible luck, as it happened this season, when the teams that were stronger and higher class were passed. Therefore, for me personally, victories with the participation of Cristiano Ronaldo and victories are now victories of different classes and levels. Then the team that was higher class and stronger than its rivals won, and now we have seen the classic case of lucky loser. But lucky loser, of course, is of high class and in no way do I want to belittle the importance of this victory, but at the same time the fact remains. It is not for nothing that when Donnarumma was recently told that the scoring error in the national teams' match against Germany was not the first, he asked again that when it was before. When was he fouled in a Real Madrid match?

Manchester City, Liverpool have got new ammunition, yes the much rumored player has finally joined them. That will make the competition in the Champions League next season will be even tighter. The teams that were about to participate were slowly increasing their team strength. This will present an interesting gameplay of each match that will be run.
It would be much better if both teams had managed to bring in a new player into their squad for next season so that would obviously present a very strong competition in the Champions League which will put a bit of pressure on a Champions League winner this season like Real Madrid. Because the more strong teams in the Champions League, the fiercer the competition.

It seems that you only know about the situation in Barcelona from high-profile headlines and therefore think that Messi is the main reason. The main problem of Barcelona is an inflated budget and, as a result, a huge accumulated debt (which by the way did not allow Messi to stay in the team

Many reasons might have been attributed to the challenges of Barcerlona bit i think Messi laso has it own compoundment follows, why i say so is that eother we like it or not Messi has dropped in performance unlike before and in knowing this he as well discover that leaving would be the best available option all by himself before the rejection comes from Barcelona, there are things that only needs the application of wisdom just to help make it work out as expected, we've got many players now who could substitute the significant role of Messi.

I think you don't even know about the situation in the team that led to his departure. Look at this season, has his performance gone down? He's been giving assists constantly and has 20 points on goal+passes. I doubt he is any worse, especially last year, he had a good season before he left. Apparently, he is comfortable even in Paris

Actually in this case their back line in terms of players is very good but the problem is sometimes in a match they are always focused on attack and are not in a state of readiness when they face counter attacks because some players do not return to their positions on time.
It's also the case that when they lost against Villarreal this season they were focused on attacking but when they came on the counter they were overwhelmed which made this a drawback for them.
Yes, Bayern Munich is always included in the list of favorite teams to win the Champions League. In fact they always score a lot of goals in several matches, but that can't make up for their shortcomings that lie in defense as discussed here. Their defense only works in the domestic league but not for the bigger competitions.
I think their defense is not a "weakness" but more like a system thing. I have said many times that Bayern is too used to dominate in the league which is a problem for them in the UCL competition. It means that they are used to playing with a system that likes to dominate the other team, and when they face a team that is hard, they just end up not knowing what to do.

What do you expect from a team of defenders that end up not even defending anyone because they are dominating so hard that opponents rarely come to attack, and then suddenly face teams that will constantly attack. That defense will not be ready for such a thing after active training type of games in the league.

If not for the disqualification of Manchester City by real Madrid the club could have won the just concluded champion league but am sure if man city could qualify next round there will take home the trophy.
Very funny, What's the point of wishing for something like this.
City have already lost and that's a fact why to think they are champions lol
What City have to do is prepare for next season by fixing their vacant line instead of fantasizing about winning this season because this is something that is not necessary and maybe there is an addition that is not until next season they meet Madrid in the Champions League Cheesy
Those kind fantasy has been there since around two years ago though , you know what? Since psg keep shopping a superstar player like neymar and messi ... people around the globe agreed that psg the one that could able to win the champions league , yet they are not .. they are struggling even more.

So do with manchester city , everyone has the same expectation and yet they are failed!
Indeed, this expectation has existed even for several seasons before but it doesn't need to be exaggerated because of the fact that they lost this season and when that happens I don't think there is an "if" because it has happened and can't be repeated. .
They just have to keep buying star-labeled players there and continue to increase their expectations in the Champions League for the next season.

From year to year Bayern Munich is indeed in the lead in the list of winners of the Champions League, but because Bayern Munich does lack players who can defend well in defense, they often concede goals. Bayern Munich has indeed been less consistent in their game this season, even though their opponents are domestic teams, but it is difficult for them to get maximum points consistently.
Actually in this case their back line in terms of players is very good but the problem is sometimes in a match they are always focused on attack and are not in a state of readiness when they face counter attacks because some players do not return to their positions on time.

Bayern Munich should learn from Real Madrid. Real Madrid identifies the opponent's weak points and adjusts the match strategy accordingly. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, always plays offensively. But it is not possible to win all the matches by playing only attacking. This is why we do not see the expected performance from Bayern Munich, despite being the favorite team in the Champions League every year.
Apart that, I guess also that Real madrid were absolutely too lucky in this Champions League, and this isn't the best example to do. Maybe we can say that Bayern Munich should be more decisive when he play in offensive
mode, instead to make 15 kicks and doin only 1 goal, this is absolutely ridicolous. Defense mode of Bayern is good, they didn't take so much goals during this years, but they needs absolutely to improve the offensive phase.

Real Madrid must have been lucky. At the same time they were very tactful. Their match strategy was excellent in every match. And in almost every match we see a change in their match strategy. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, has only made an attack. But strong attacks have been rare. When a team plays with a completely defensive strategy, Bayern Munich has a lot of problems winning against them. In order to perform well next season, they must change their strategy

@Daniel91 Fine, I predict the opposite. Shall we bet $10 on this? Winning team has a Croat, I pay you $10. If not, you pay me $10. In Bitcoin of course. And we can get hahay to arbitrate or ensure we cough up the payment (or to remind us one day), being the most recent checker of the stats haha.

Anyone want to weigh in on Tuesday night's qualifications? Got to be more interesting than most other things on offer.

That's right bro, the fate of Real Madrid and Barcelona is actually different after the two star players left each. Real Madrid are able to maintain their honor by always qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League. Even this season, Real Madrid won the Champions League.
While Barcelona's collapse seems to have proven they are totally dependent on Messi. It's only been six months since Messi left, Barcelona just to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League. They seemed confused about how to score goals. Hopefully next season Barcelona can be a scary team again for the opponent.

The main problem of Barcelona is an inflated budget and, as a result, a huge accumulated debt (which by the way did not allow Messi to stay in the team, it turns out that even Messi's departure is a consequence of economic problems). It seems that now Barcelona has found a way to get significant money by selling part of their media rights, but this is unlikely to change everything so much that next season they will return to their "historic" level.

My big prediction for the next Champions League will be won by either Manchester City or PSG.
Both teams have invested greatly in good player's and coaches but have lacked results.
Man City came so close but they couldn't as Real Madrid turned thing's around.

Manchester city,  PSG and Real Madrid these are teams that invest a lot in having the best player and they have always have the same qualities of football strength.  It is even too early to predict between these teams who will win  the Champions League,  these are all good teams that it is unpredictable to know who will always win.
If you look at the strength maybe I won't use this as a benchmark but for their style of play they have the same style and their tactics and apply the formation is practically the same because most of them attack sporadically from both wings.
As for predicting the champion, I think it's too early because we haven't even been able to see the games they run and are only still fixated on the games that have already been played and the addition of new players, so it wouldn't be too good to make predictions from now on.

We saw that Real Madrid was badly affected on the offensive line during the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though they didn't play tied to a single player, Ronaldo was a huge advantage for Real Madrid. While every team they played for was taking special measures against CR7, they frequently left empty space on the offensive line and other players easily scored. So actually the CR7 departure was a big loss for Real Madrid as well.

Even though the Champions League final was below my expectations in terms of match quality, I was appreciated that Real Madrid was able to win the trophy despite this performance. Although there is a serious difference between their current squad and their time with Ronaldo, they still continue on their way very well. Real Madrid did not go through a period as bad after Ronaldo as Barcelona did after Messi. They even became the champions of the Champions League, in which the Benzema - Vinicius Junior duo played a big role. It was an unlucky night for Liverpool. All that effort did not yield results.
Cristiano Ronaldo's departure didn't have a bad impact on Real Madrid, although I admit that his absence from the team was felt. Nevertheless Real Madrid is a Real Madrid that never runs out of talented players who made this team achieve great success, especially in this Champions League. I don't think there is a calmer team than Real Madrid at least for now.

Champions league next season will be tough and interesting, teams like Manchester City,   Liverpool,Bayern Munich and Barcelona would try their best to win it this time. It won't be easy for Real Madrid because every eyes will be on them , the competition will be hard.
Wasn't it not easy for Real Madrid to win the Champions League last season? Teams like Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, Chelsea and Liverpool were very difficult opponents to face, but they were able to beat them. Do you think it's easy? Lol
In the Champions League there is no easy competition, everything is difficult especially for each country to be represented by their best team.

Real Madrid have always been at a risky line until luck will speak for them, carrying the championship was by luck although the club also used opportunity to make a qualifying score against Manchester City.

Actually their attacking strategy is going well, it's just that it leaves gaps in their defense. If they can balance more attack and defense I also think they will be able to do a lot more in the competition. We will always encounter this kind of thing, Bayern Munich must immediately realize the location of their weakness.

From year to year Bayern Munich is indeed in the lead in the list of winners of the Champions League, but because Bayern Munich does lack players who can defend well in defense, they often concede goals. actually there was nothing wrong with Bayern's defense last season, everything went well but it was their attack that was very difficult to create chances for goals to occur so in the UCL match when they were knocked out against Villarreal they were very serious about attacking because they couldn't score so that their defense is created space for opponents to score goals. this is a team game, I think Bayern will bounce back soon and they will always be candidates for the UCL title every season.
