I can hardly remember the two-legged confrontation in which the final result could be explained by luck. It is obvious that there are elements of luck in every action, but at a distance of 180 minutes of playing time (plus additional) the winner is determined quite accurately.
True but there could be matches where the first 90 minutes or the next is the main difference. I'm taking into account other factors such as the timing, the players available on those dates, and who they will play against. If a fully fit team A will be paired with an injury-ravaged team B then they are lucky.

Agree. On the other hand, the depth of the squad is the same factor in the strength of the team as any other, which is why the top clubs at a distance look much stronger than the smaller ones whose squad is much less variable. But then I remembered a good example of a random factor: in the 2010 Inter - Barcelona match, the team from Spain was forced to travel by bus instead of flying due to a volcanic eruption, and this was later called the reason for the weak game and defeat 1-3.

I think Chelsea will have a certain advantage, because the match will be home for the London club and winning is more important for Chelsea, unlike Juventus, who have already secured entry to the next stage of the tournament.
Well Chelsea lost its first game against Juve in Turin and I doubt they will accept to lose again. Bookies are backing Chelsea much @1.77 vs @4.7. Not sure if there will be some modifications for the odds few days before the game but the actual one is underestimating Juve a lot imo.
Despite the loss to Juventus, I also believe that they should win in the next game... Chelsea, in my opinion, have one of the best teams in Europe, Thomas Tuchel did an excellent job and the team is going strong in the defending the title of champion.

The English team won the Champions League last season beating Manchester City in the final, my fans are so that this time is no different.
I don't think there's anything to worry about here, except if Chelsea really want to win the group then the next two matches should to win. But if Chelsea have decided it's okay to be runner-up, then I think a draw in the next two matches will not be a problem and not only that, even though it only gets one draw and one loss the fact it will still make Chelsea in same position. So yes, this match if they have to win basically only one it is about prestige, but if they leave that factor aside because they are also still focused in their respective leagues in the EPL and Serie A, then I think this match will just go on as usual without the tension is so high.

We are going to have a Chelsea - Juventus match which will be very effective in determining the leader of the group. For now, Juventus are the leader by 12 points as they won all of their 4 matches played so far. And Chelsea follow them right behind by 9 points. Juventus defeated them in Allianz Stadium by 1-0 before. And I suppose it is time for Chelsea to take revenge on Juventus. They are a much stronger team than Juventus this season. As long as they are well-prepared for this one, I expect a clean victory for Chelsea.

Also about Juventus, I would like to say that judging by the performance in the national championship and the 8th place occupied, the club does not give the impression of an absolute favorite. Chelsea, on the contrary, is the leader of the English Premier League. Another factor may be that in case of a win, Chelsea will equal Juventus on points and will also become the leaders of the group.

Chelsea are pretty doing decent at home, having less goals scored at,there defense is just too solid to break, but having lost their top notch attacker Lukaku, although Lukaku performance when playing against bonnucci and cheillini is poor,he has always been kept behind bars.
Juventus qualified already but having them best form here in the Champions League,I doubt if Chelsea would successfully get three points.
Playing soft players with pace will break Juventus up, hopefully Thomas Tuchel utilize this and field the right players.

Chelsea under the management of Thomas Tuchel has transcended into an elite team that fits right into the UCL. There next game would be against Juventus which is another elite team but then, Chelsea playing from a home side would be some advantage to them but then, I see a very difficult game by that 23rd and would be a chance to level up with Juventus in point and possibly goal difference to top the group. Malmo on the other hand is definitely not going to the next round as the goals owed is just so much.
Chelsea has won a single game over these team and y'all jumping into conclusion?
Who made them among the elite teams? Grin not just juventus and roma in seria A ,we have alot more teams still on their nerves ;brighton or Liverpool will make them lie flat just like what they did formerly before now.
Chelsea is a good team though and they have been blessed with Ngolo kante, their pillar and their strongest midfielder

Group stage is far different from the round of 16 up to the finals where luck in the draw also plays a huge role in my opinion.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich will more likely advance to the semi-finals.

There must be a miracle for Zenit to get past Chelsea from now on.  Grin  In Stamford Bridge, I'm favoring Chelsea. I think it is revenge time.
Chelsea will play at home, I think they will win. They will feel more comfortable at Stamford Bridge. There's no chance of qualifying for the next round. As for Zenit they will go to Malmo, maybe they will win because malmo have never won even at UCL. So Zenit's chances of qualifying for the next round are still there but I think it's very small. But anything can happen, this is just my opinion looking at the game and the players from group H.

In the round 5, Chelsea are going to host Juventus in Stamford Bridge. This will be an important game as it can determine the leader also. Juventus already won all of their group games so far and guaranteed qualifying for the next round too. Maybe Chelsea haven't guaranteed it mathematically yet but they are already 6 points ahead of Zenit. There must be a miracle for Zenit to get past Chelsea from now on.  Grin  In Stamford Bridge, I'm favoring Chelsea. I think it is revenge time.

Chelsea will win this match. All the teams are strong in their own field. Moreover, Chelsea is still a strong enough team. Their coach Tuchel is experienced enough. The previous match they lost was unfortunately against Juventus. If you enjoyed the match, you will see that Chelsea played great, yet they lost.

Chelsea has what it takes to win. And they should win because Juventus will be relaxed in the game because their spot is somewhat secured.  But in reality, if not that Juventus is just being inconsistent this season. No one should easily tip Chelsea to beat Juventus in Champions league contest. How fast things change.
Tuchel should needs some lil work in his attack to be able to get more goals in every match and yes they are contenders.

There are only 2 matches left in the group qualifying round and Zenit can say they can win against Malmo after that they have to welcome Chelsea guests as away players I never thought Chelsea let it go they will continue to try to add points to qualify for the next round and become group winners as long as they can win against Juventus.
So it's true that this chance is very small for Zenit and they can only be thrown into the Europa League after the play-offs are over.

I don't think Milan has any intention of going to the next round. I have watched the last few matches. They did not perform well. And I didn't see any tendency in them to perform well or win matches. However, they play every match of Serie A very seriously. And their performance there is extraordinary.
Different teams have different priorities, some teams despite knowing they have no chance to win their tournament do what they can to play at their best level, this way they can sell their players for a more expensive price to clubs which actually have a chance to win the tournament, but there are others that could decide to make a priority to win their local tournament, and this is even more true if the team has not won their local tournament for a long time.

So far in the group games, the best performing teams are like this to me: Liverpool, Ajax, Bayern Munich and Juventus. Therefore, I wonder until what stage we will see all of these teams. Among these teams, Ajax seem to be the team that can be eliminated earlier.

But who knows? This tournament is full of surprises. For example, it was very unexpected for me to see that Chelsea became the champions last.
Surprises and luck.
Chelsea did it twice by the way.

With the way we've seen different clubs perform in their several leagues, here are my top favourites for the UEFA Champions league.
Mancity
Bayern
Chelsea
PSG
Liverpool
I predict Mancity as the top favourite because of Pep Guardiola,he is very eager to win that tittle by all means,it has not been possible for him ever since he came to City, and his eyes are really on that trophy.
At the same time,Bayern with the players they have, are very interested in the tittle as well.
PSG will pose a threat, but I don't see them winning it.

Good Chelsea was not written off, because those guys are  dangerous.  When it comes to the matter of home and away goals, they will scale through because they have learnt how to conceive less. Again, they have a strategic coach. I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the reason Manchester United is not mentioned above. If not why will  Manchester United  with the calibre of players and with addition of Champions league idol (CR7) not make your prediction list.

Milan is drawing a successful graphic in Serie A, but it could not show the same success in the champions league. They were able to collect 1 point in 4 matches. They are in the last row of group B. I even see the probability of finishing the group in third place low. It may be an early farewell from Milan. Beşiktaş could not score in Group C.  They lost the chance to leave the group and the chance to continue in the European league. Liverpool and Ajax won 4/4 in these two groups and left the group with 12 points.
Nevertheless,am still seeing roma and juventus as the top teams to battle for the Titans of italians seria A.
Milan has only had a chance to surpass few club in seria A doesn't guarantee their overtime success. If you said that they can also venture in the champions league, have you thought about how many clubs are they and the history of the former championship? Can Milan defeat Chelsea on their current form?
If yes, then they can sail through

The truth is I see that the Italian league is also a very tough league and Milan can do very well in their league together with Juve, but what happens is that when two types of style of play collide, such as the Italian, which is defensive by nature. Against a very rude and explosive style of play, at the moment I would not dare to say which is superior, each team has very good players, and it could be said that by history both teams in their countries are valuartes of their football, in this meeting I think that I would go for the MIlan.
