Interesting game, test for Ole. Maybe if Man United loses or draws again, the hashtag #Oleout will increase. Their league results are not good, they are very weak on the counter-attack. Ole has too many great players, but is not able to use them well. Maybe Ole should ask Sir Alex Ferguson for a prescription, he always comes to the stadium when Man United plays. Then for Atalanta, they are a great club. They were able to win 1-0 over Young Boys. But before playing in the UCL they will play Milan and Empoli in Serie A.

Atalanta already played against Milan and lost by one goal. As for Ole, he needs to figure out what he's doing wrong otherwise the owners might get tired of the lack of titles and ask questions that might lead to his dismissal. The owners have been understanding so far but I think there's only so much they can take before they look for an alternative. Let's hope Atalanta doesn't win them.

Man United's performance was not too good against Villarreal. For a time, they seemed to dominate the game, that is, early in the second half when they played a fast tempo. Unfortunately, this condition can't last long.
Likewise with Ronaldo. Actually, he didn't play well, his movement was often anticipated by Villarreal defenders, and he made several mistakes, so he only had few chances to score. It's just that at the last minute he managed to score the winning goal.

Ronaldo is indeed a great player, even though he is not young anymore. But if Man United is too dependent on Ronaldo, then Man United's performance will not be able to progress because when Ronaldo can't play or he plays but not at his best, then Man United would have languished.

I don’t think that now United is heavily dependent on Ronaldo, now they have a great roster and if we hear about Ronaldo in every match it’s only because he’s a very big name of a great athlete (plus he scores a goal in almost every match). I think during the season other players like Pogba, Sancho, Rashford, etc. will also fall into the spotlight.
It's true that MU has now become one of the teams that is quite reckoned with and even they can compete last season and stick to Man.city which incidentally was the champion that season.
but on the other hand I feel the arrival of ronaldo adds to the mentality of the players and the enthusiasm of all parties. because we all know that ronaldo is one of the players who is still the best now even though he is not young anymore.
and this becomes a good unit to add to the team's performance to be even better.
instead of mentioning ronaldo as one of the dependencies of MU I prefer to mention ronaldo as a puzzle piece that is less than MU which makes United even stronger.

Give the Barcelona team now to other coaches, they can not help Barcelona to win any title. That club has serious financial health and conflict between players and the board is not small.

This is correct because Barcelona's problem is beyond its debt profile and salaries for players. It's about the dress room conflicts among players and the clique they've formed. Most experienced coaches would have sold off those old and stubborn players immediately Messi left the club. But that is not so as the coach of the side Ronald Koeman is still wasting time on doing what should be the right thing. I wish he gets thrown out of his job.

Which players are you talking about? I didn't see any news about Barcelona dressing room problems. Is it about their recent formation changes?
I only heard some criticism from Pique but what would you do, would you sell your best defender Pique? I don't think Barcelona is competitive enough team to get any title as well, especially Champions League. Their advancing from group stage even is questionable.
Now Barcelona players are experiencing divisions and many of them seniors seem to want Koeman to resign from his position, and of course that is a natural thing if you look at Barcelona current performance, what Pique said in my opinion is very true because it is clear that there are a lot of Barcelona problems right now  and their front line seems very difficult to score goals, if barcelona sells pique of course it will make Barcelona weaker and I think now Barcelona biggest problem is the game tactics used by Koeman so far have not been effective.

But how does a team get out of financial debt without generating revenue ??! Barcelona are surely in debt, but that doesn't cover up for Koeman's shortcomings over the past season, the debt didn't just happen over night and the players are aware of that, but if there is a coach with a working system and tactics, then it's just a matter of time to get the revenue up and running again, but with the team playing awfully would you imagine how terrible the tickets amongst other sources of revenue would be faring ??

Whatever and however Barcelona might be willing to get past this phase, it's gotta begin with the squad performance and their zeal to fight and that's sadly not happening with Koeman.

Enjoy them before the retire!
Both Messi and Ronaldo scored in the Champions League. They are both awesome players, Ronaldo has won games in the finals in both international and club competitions on more than one occasion. Messi is the kind of player that runs the game, creates opportunities for others to score and then scores himself. As I am not comparing them, I have just focused on enjoying their game play. When these two legends retire, the football world will lose its magic.

Agreed 100%! And to whomever who would like to continue arguing which is better,,, than it is their loss as they will forever be caught up in one guy and miss out on the beauty of the other. These two cannot be more different and yet live and breathe in the same air as us all, for that we should be greatful.

My wish is still to see them play together on one big final season stage, and show the world how wrong it was to choose one or the other Smiley

The next year will be better for them but they need to conclude this year in the top 4 spots in the national championship or it will be a massacre without the money from Champions Leauge.
Barcelona still has a chance to improve their squad this season in January, I think La Liga is not a very competitive league so it won't be too difficult for Barcelona to be in 4th place in the standings at the end of the season, so maybe it will be a bit disappointing for Barcelona fans who hope this season barcelona can win a trophy after the failure of last season, even though barcelona condition is bad at this time but finishing in the top 4 is not a difficult thing for them even though they have been out of the championship path right now.
What do you mean by improving their squad? Get new players? Well, they can only get players that are not qualified for the Champions League or played in the CL yet, or otherwise they can't play for Barcelona in the CL. I don't know how much of an improvement those players would really be, but maybe you are right and Barcelona doesn't even have a choice but act.

There are some good enough players who don't play in the champions league. Europa League has decent players. All Barcelona has to do is somehow survive this season with a finish in the top four and maybe go as far as they can in the Champions League. Maybe next season they can go all out in the transfer market. But if they fail to finish top 4, that would impact very badly next season.

While I have no idea if and how the financial fair play stuff in Spain actually works, keep in Mind that Messi had to go for financial reasons. Yes I know he earned a shit ton of money, but is Barcelona really able to get so many new players or good players given how much debt they have? If they fail to qualify for the Champions League, holy cow that could end badly for them.

Laporta said that Barca's total debt now stands at over $1.6 billion, and 103% of the club's total income goes to wages alone. According to La Liga's new rules, clubs may spend max 70% of their income on wages, which means Barca will have to cut salaries almost everywhere. I don't see how they can afford to add new players in such a financial situation.

However, there may finally be some good news at the end; according to a report in the Mirror, Barca has recently been approached by a "Dubai-based company" with an offer of $1.6 billion to refinance their debts. But the club has not yet confirmed whether it will accept it.

I really wonder how many people wagered on Sheriff in this match. They had really big odds for their win and winning the first half. I would never expect them to defeat Real Madrid in both halves. Real Madrid actually dominated the match against them but Sheriff took advantage of their chances very effectively. It is good to see a completely different team making surprises. Maybe it won't last forever but it is still a good thing that makes the competition more attractive.
There is nothing new in this lost which happen Real Madrid vs Sheriff because we have big history of defeats and wins like this in soccer. Main reason is Real Madrid team taking this all very easily, so they face this humiliation on other side it's big lesson for many other big teams now they can face results like this so be careful never take any team easy.

Now in next round we have inter vs Sheriff, hopefully fans will have some very interesting and entertaining match between these two teams because inter is looking for first win of this season in Champions League and now Sheriff is looking to secure their spot in next round.

I don't think any team in the Champion League are however weak. PSG will have a tough time against RB Leipzig, but PSG is at home, and I think that will boost their morale about winning the match.
While Manchester United Vs Atalanta will be an interesting match. Honestly, I don't know who will win, but both team will surely score.
Barcelona should be able beat to Dynamo Kyiv, Although, I don't fully trust them as their performance haven't been impressive, they lost both of their last Champion League matches, and also lost their League match against Atletico Madrid.l yesterday.
I can't wait to watch Atletico Madrid play against Liverpool, the Matchday 3 will probably be very interesting.

So far, all of Koeman's decisions in Barcelona have been wrong. He fired Suarez, many at the time thought Suarez was old. So maybe Koeman isn’t interested in keeping him on the team. But with the help of Suarez, Atletico Madrid won the title. Koeman, on the other hand, wants to play defensively with the Barcelona team. Because their defense is weak. Now Barcelona can't attack even against weaker teams, can't score. I think now that the Barcelona team has such a situation, Koemna is responsible for all this.
I would assume that Suarez deal wasn't just based on what Koeman was doing or saying, it was also a little bit about how the previous president who sold Suarez wanted to hurt Messi as well. Suarez is good friends with Messi and when previous president sold him, that was basically a message to Messi about how he wasn't wanted anymore.

I would however agree with the idea that Koeman is not a great tactical wizard, he has a style and that style doesn't suit Barcelona at all, he could be great in any other team, I would say he would be perfect for many Italian teams because they prefer defense over offense as well however I doubt he could ever be good in Barcelona. Barcelona needs a manager that prefers technical fluidity on offense.

After the last results, the best teams so far are Liverpool, Ajax and Bayern Munich. They won their matches with very good scores. And the most surprising team were Sheriff Tiraspol. They defeated not only Shakhtar by 2-0 home but also Real Madrid by 2-1 away. It is like they are living their biggest dream in the tournament. I don't know until when they will maintain this dream but we will see.

This is the biggest shock so far that Sheriff is the first in their group not only did they beat Shakhtar they beated Real Madrid and are first in the group.I think no one seen this coming,i have seen some crazy bets with some crazy odds wins on Sheriff against Real Madrid. With 6 points their chances of passing the group is now a lot bigger i think if they win 1 more game they will go through to the next stage.

I really wonder how many people wagered on Sheriff in this match. They had really big odds for their win and winning the first half. I would never expect them to defeat Real Madrid in both halves. Right now, the best hope for them is doing some better in Local League because this can bring some better for them future right now as we all know they already have serious trouble and no hopes for surviving in Champions League it's mean some more trouble in financial issues. Koeman strategies not helping them so better to try with some replacement as few already in pipeline for this job because if they are wasting time It's going to create more issues instead of doing some better.

Sheriff Tiraspol are the most attracting team these days in the Champions League. They are just making the unexpected things happen. It was not very surprising to me that they won against Shakhtar home. But the win in the Real Madrid game which was even away was really surprising for all of us. It is not easy to beat a this good Real Madrid. And there is a huge gap between Sheriff and Real Madrid in terms of strength. I can't wait to see Sheriff in their next game against Inter. Let's see if they will get another surprising result.

They very badly need a lethal striker alongside Aguero and a defender. As Griezmann has left, they have some room to buy a player. As Real Madrid has also lost some of their strength, maybe it won't be that hard for them to place within the top 4. Atletico could be a threat though. But if Koeman strategizes match by match, and tries to win the away matches, maybe placing fourth should not be that hard. All we need is for Aguero to recover and return soon.
