You are so unlucky that you lost the bet and lost your money. But Ronaldo's goal was really impressive. When Ronaldo is in the team, there is hope until the last minute that the result will change. We have seen many times in the past that Ronald scored in extra time after 90 minutes to give the team the victory. I'm glad Manchester United won, they lost to the Young Boys in the previous match.

I was always a bigger fan of Messi than Ronaldo but that is just as a neutral,,, and it never meant that I said Ronaldo was shit. Remember,,, he has won games in final moments for his country and for clubs, over and over again.

This guy like Messi can continue to show their best for everyone for many more years. Enjoy them before the retire!

Not only in the coach. Even Guardiola cannot help Barcelona in this situation. Barcelona must first and foremost solve the problem of finance. And then start solving sports problems. It takes a lot of money to build a strong team. And Barcelona doesn't have them yet.

I agree with you, first of all the downturn in Barcelona due to financial problems. If you look at clubs with a good financial condition: Manchester United, City, PSG, Chelsea, it becomes clear that it is very difficult to compete with such clubs without money. Given the finances, the club can afford the best players and the best coaching staff. So just by getting things done with money, you can count on good results in big football.

Well done to Benfica but Barcelona is in a total crisis now compared to what they used to be when they could afford to have Messi in their starting eleven. Now the attack power of Barcelona is not the same and this can be seen in their overall results, they are drawing a lot of games even in their national La Liga competition which is something new and was not like that when they had Messi. The more time passes the more it will be emphasized in Barcelona gameplay.

barcelona's problem is only in the coach, if they had a good coach who had barcelona's style of play, things would be different, let's look at the benfica coach pep guardiola has a style of play very similar to barcelona with, but the current coach of barcelona cannot recreate barcelona old style of play, barcelona management failed to choose a coach. I think that the Barcelona administration needs to hire a coach who has good results and that the style of the game is the same as the Spanish style of play, for that they have to hire a Spanish coach who has been with a team in the la liga for years and with a soccer style of barcelona and then they need to hire players with a Spanish style of play, the mistake made by barcelona was that after that time in Carles Puyol out there started to hire players in all positions who had a different style of play and this ended up creating a lack of identity of the The way they play I think Messi must have realized this and decided to leave because the club direction doesn't seem to understand the seriousness of it.

We saw again that how much Manchester United are struggling when they are putting an effort to win a match. They hardly managed to defeat Villarreal in a very competitive match. Villarreal's scoring first made things even more difficult for Manchester United. Telles' goal was just fabulous. While I was thinking like that was it and it would end by 1-1, Ronaldo saved the team by a very critical goal in literally the last minute.
The match was tough and interesting, Villarreal tried thier best and also thier performance was good. I thought, the game will end draw, only for Ronaldo to score in the 90+5 and Manchester United got their first winning in the Champion League after losing their first match to Young Boys. This winning will probably high their morale about winning more matches. Although, they need to improve their performance, their next Champion League match is probably against Atalanta.
Although Manchester United won this match, I don't think their performance was good. Villarreal's players have performed even better. The match should have been a draw. But Manchester United has Ronaldo, the United team has won because of him. If Manchester United wants to win the title, they need to improve their gameplay. It is not possible to win the title with such poor gameplay and low attack.

Manchester United won not because they played well, Manchester United was just lucky. In addition to having Ronaldo as one of the best
finishers, Manchester United are also lucky to have David de Gea who plays extraordinary, many chances from Villarreal were saved.
Supposedly if David de Gea didn't play well, Manchester United would have conceded at least 2-3 goals. If Manchester United's game doesn't
improve, it seems difficult to win a Premier League or Champions League trophy. I agree with you that the ideal result should be a draw,
because the statistics of both teams are almost the same, even I agree Villarreal's game is a bit better.

I'm very angry and happy with Cristiano Ronaldo's goal.
Angry because I was betting on a draw (yes, I believed Villarreal would be able to hold the score despite being in last place), and my bet on that draw was really good.
However, I'm also happy because again I saw my top scorer shine on the field and to show what he's capable of, even in the last seconds of the match, it's really impressive.

Both Man United and Villareal played quite well, their stats were almost the same.
Actually, a draw was a fair result. But Man United has bigger luck, Ronaldo has a chance to score in the last minute and he didn't waste the chance.

Right, their stats are almost the same and even ball possession is getting the same percentage, this match is very even. I didn't expect Villarreal to play so well at Old Trafford and I agree a draw is a decent result in this match because even Villarreal are able to win in terms of goal attempts and shots on goal. Well, anyway the current ranking is a surprising position for me, because at the beginning I predicted Man United would easily beat Young Boys, but the surprise happened and with this result I still hope Villarreal are able to continue in the knockout stages.

Ronaldo's goal in the additional times, has burning my smile, bcoz i bet for draw in this matches Shocked
Man United fans are smiling reading your comment, bro.
Ronaldo always knows how to surprise us, even at the last minute he can score.
I am sure there are many people out there who have the same story as you. You are not alone!!  Cheesy

I see that Villareal will make it difficult for United during the game, so I believe that the match will end in a draw.

Appreciated with Cristiano Ronaldo keep consistent with his performance and made 5 goal from 5 match with Manchester United, not matter with Ronaldo where keep great performance although have pass 90 minutes to made goal for Manchester United faced with Villareal. I think give chance for United keep stay to next stage after first match defeat by Young Boy, now United collected three points the same with Young Boy and have chance to qualify next round if keep consistent.

Leicester City of late have been showcasing some pathetic football, I wonder what's going on there...could it be that the coach is failing to make up a team that will Play collectively because at the moment the foxes only have a bunch of players and not a team, very disappointing result tbh.

On the other hand One team that has been impressive and a stand out for me has been Westham United and if they continue playing like this there is a possibility of a top four finish in the Epl.

Benfica 3-0 Barcelona
Given the fact that there is still a match in Munich ahead (where the next major defeat is likely to be), Barcelona should not lose a point in matches with Dynamo and hope for a rematch at home, otherwise it has very real chances to end the performance already at this stage. But in fact, it is not entirely clear what the point is to advance to the next round, where a strong opponent is guaranteed.
Poor performance by Barcelona. They are already at the bottom of the table. Though the stage matches are not done yet, but if they don't win the next match against Dynamo, they will be in great trouble. A draw will not be even enough for them to qualify to the next round I'm guessing. Pretty hard times ahead for them without Messi. Now it is getting clearer how important Messi was for them.
I do not get it, Real Madrid lost to a team that has a total value around 10 million euro, and people acted as if Real Madrid is still a great team (which they are) and this was just a hiccup game that would never happen again (which is probably true) and for some reason Barcelona losing to Benfica which let's be honest a better team than Sheriff, suddenly became like this huge problem about Barcelona.

I believe that Barcelona is still as good as Real Madrid even this year. I know that it is a big statement to say that Barcelona is doing fine because everyone is acting as if they are horrible for some reason but I still believe that they are great. Will they win la liga this year? Or UCL? I do not think so, however how many times did they win the league in the past 5 seasons? 2 times, lost it 3 times, and how many times did they win the champions league in the past decade? Once. This means if you ask me there is still a chance that they could win La Liga twice in the next 5 seasons and maybe win UCL once in the next 10 years.

You guys keep forgetting one thing.

THE SUPERLEAGUE.

We will have soon a sentence from the European Court,

if it will say UEFA is right REAL JUVE BARCA and maybe more will be banned from the next champions.
if it will say ESL is right REAL JUVE BARCA will leave Champions soon.

So in the end this can even be the last edition with these 3 teams.

Maybe you should create a separate topic about this? All information will be lost here for sure. If I remember correctly, such a topic was already created but was either deleted or closed after the temporary victory of UEFA. But now the courts are on the side of the clubs and the topic of the Super League is more relevant than ever.

Villarreal had more chances and the had high possession of the ball compared to Manchester united. Alex telles' goal was just the energetic goal that saved the face of united after losing to young boys in the first leg . Bruno Fernandes made a wise decision while he took the free kick  that opened room for winning goal which came in the 90+4 minutes by C. Ronaldo. Manchester just have to work on their team management and well as making sure.

Oh! Finally,  Lionel Messi scores his first goal for PSG and not just ahaunst any team but the Champions of England and a much needed goal at that from the way City is playing. This is going to be a very painful lose for the citizens. To have lost 2 goals to nothing against PSG even though, they were the dominant team in this game. Its a lot of hard luck for Manchester City though, especially with the double chance they had to an equaliser in the first half. Where Raheem Stirling and B. Silva had there shot at the goal but was off target and landed on the bar. The final whistle is yet to be blown but, rhe game seems over already.  All they could hope for now is the returning leg and hope they win though.

I knew Lionel Messi's time will come and he will start scoring for his new club. That time came against Manchester City. The most painful part for me is that his first goal came against his former and coach, Pep Guardiola. But that is football for you and Messi played like a professional not minding he was playing against his former boss.

And Barcelona - Juventus I'm not sure they can win the UCL title this season.
0 points 0 goals scored, and 6 conceded in 2 group stage match is a result I really regret from Barcelona. Defender and striker are the two weakest positions for Barcelona so far so they conceded goals quite often and also can't score many goals. Benfica were much better at home yesterday and I applaud what they are doing with their team. I saw Koeman very angry with a pretty grim expression on his face LOL because it was a Benfica party. There are 4 more games in the group stages, so we will see how Barcelona react after this in the Champions League.

Both Barcelona and Juventus started really badly in their domestic leagues. It would be hard to imagine CL without them, they have been qualifying year after year and were often in the group of teams most likely to challenge or the trophy.

Even though both teams are currently out of CL places, the season has just started and there should not be any reason to panic for their fans. Both will probably end up qualifying easily - Serie A and Primera are too weak for such major upsets.

Juventus fans shouldn't panic indeed. Because they are getting better day by day and having a consistent performance these days also. They won their last two games in the Serie A and they managed to beat even Chelsea in the Champions League also.

But I can't say the same thing for Barcelona fans unfortunately. Because the team are playing very inconsistently recently and it seems really hard to predict the results of their games. They show a great performance once but later everything changes about them. They weren't able to do anything against Benfica for example. They are not in a trustworthy condition and the fans shouldn't have big expectations from them at least for now.
barcelona are in a transition period and it will definitely be difficult for them to deal with this especially this is exacerbated by some of their players currently still unable to play due to injuries they have suffered.
I think for this season Barcelona have to be prepared without a trophy being brought to Campnou and the fans have to be prepared for that.
not without reason, when playing in UCL in these two matches they couldn't get a single point and even had to concede 6 goals without entering a single goal, and even in the league they were thrown up to 6th position in the standings and this will be difficult for them

That is too much politics, I don't really want to speculate until something becomes official. Last I heard was that tensions have dropped a bit, I believe everything will be back to normal soon.

UEFA does not want to lose top clubs and top clubs do not want to lose CL revenue. Superleague was rejected by both fans and players so I assume it won't be attempted in the next few years at least.
