Real madrid maybe without sergio ramos, varane, but if this two teams meet an English team like Manchester United, Liverpool or even chelsea I would place a bet on the Spanish giant beating the English team, the champions league is about pedigree and history, small teams may be a bigger team, but when long time rivals meets, the one with the head to head match record mostly likely wins in the champions league. I even think a Spanish team would get to the final of the 2021/2022 UEFA champions league finals.
A good and fair statement because I am also feeling in this way even right now Real Madrid and Barcelona in not good shape, and they have no big stars but as they have rivalry then their body language and mentality completely changed because they feel some serious about this all and fight hard. Right now we have still good teams and long time for final because currently predictions are not working just like it's not works in crypto and bitcoin, but I am feeling this time we have no Spanish club in final.

While I have no idea if and how the financial fair play stuff in Spain actually works, keep in Mind that Messi had to go for financial reasons. Yes I know he earned a shit ton of money, but is Barcelona really able to get so many new players or good players given how much debt they have? If they fail to qualify for the Champions League, holy cow that could end badly for them.

I think that if they want to cut the wage of every player, most players would disagree with the contract which would lead to huge chaos. Don't underestimate Atletico Madrid. This is a very strong team and they have a very strong coach who studies the opponents well and the team follows his instructions accurately, so Liverpool will face a rather difficult match and they need to do more to win than in previous matches.

That is a boring game to watch for sure and definitely not entertaining, however it is obvious that they are going to get a result out of it, or that is how they have done so far. So I'm guessing that Liverpool will have the most possession, all Liverpool has to make sure is that they don't concede on the counter-attack from Atletico as they also have a pretty deadly front three with Suarez, Griezmann, and Felix. But it will also be a tough match for Liverpool to score as Atletico is very well structured on defense.
