I agree. And it's a pity that the bastard corrupt officials from FIFA turned the World Cup into something incomprehensible. I understand that teams like Saudi Arabia or Australia and their fans are pleased with the presence at the World Championships, but this lowers the average strength of this championship, plus many strong national teams (especially from Europe) do not get there.
In ideal conditions, we would see tough competition between these strongest teams, but in fact we see a miserable tournament at the group stage + some really interesting playoff matches.

Brazil still seems like the best to us, as we have always seen it as very strong. There is no old strong Brazil. There is no legendary Brazil with legendary players like Ronaldo Nazario, Ronaldinho de Asis, Cafu. Any European country can beat Brazil. I still remember the match where Germany beat Brazil 7-1.

European teams can easily beat any of the teams participating in the Copa America. If Brazil or Argentina also play against a team like Denmark then maybe the match will be a draw, otherwise they will lose. The European teams have improved themselves as much as possible. The American teams have become so weak.

Call me biased, but Modrić's goal against Scotland takes my vote. Nothing more beautiful in football than outside of the foot screamers.

Insigne's goal against Belgium 2nd best, followed by Schick's goal against Scotland. Poor Scotland, everybody scored great goals against them Grin

Pogba's goal against Switzerland and Yarmolenko's vs Netherlands deserve mention as well.

My favorite goal is Patrick Schick's goal against Scotland. A great shoot, scored from a great distance. I'm so lucky to watch it live. Second was the goal scored by Andriy Yarmolenko, which I liked.

As far as I know, the FIFA points system doesn't give special weightage to tournament finals. If Belgium is playing against Italy in the final of a major tournament like Euro 2020, that match will have the same amount of weightage as as a group match between these two sides. In a sense, that is the right thing to do. Why should a final match have more importance when compared to other matches? Personally, I feel that Belgium doesn't deserve a place at the top. I would say Argentina, Brazil or Italy deserves it more.

I think this has its explanation, not only in the general classification, but also in the club classification, in the coaches classification, that is due to the covid-19 pandemic, although it is a statistic that does not seem very difficult to execute, I think that the managers must take their time well for the correct records, in part I see this as an act of responsibility and professionalism, it is like having character and respect for football.

FIFA has changed the ranking criteria in the past, to make it more accurate. The one we have now was devised after a lot of research and analysis and I don't think that there is any issue in the way the points are calculated. Belgium remains at the top, because they have won matches regularly against other top ranking teams, with big margins. Before the defeat against Italy in Euro 2021, their last defeat came against England in October 2020. It was an unbeaten run for 9 months in a row. @Sithara007 you’re absolutely correct as FIFA did change the ranking system in 2018, but yet I find it difficult to see Belgium on the top because unless they win a major tournament they don’t deserve to be on the top. Also I do acknowledge that they had a good winning streak, but if they keep failing in the tournaments then they’ll lose that spot very fast.

Those goals are great without exception but I find Pogba's one to be the best, followed by Damsgaard and Patrick Schick, so I voted for them.
BTW "Goal of the tournament" blue box popping just few seconds before goals is really annoying!

That is correct. As a team, you have to become a unit. Many teams need the first games in the group phase to find themselves. Then they grow together more and more. Germany is such an example. They are a typical tournament team.

Yes, England showed a wonderful result at EURO 2020, but of course it's always a shame to stop one step away from the title, especially if this title is historical. Sometimes the defenders are probably the best penalty takers in this spot because those guy are the last line of defence and are pretty calm when it comes down to this stuff. Both Bonnuci and Harry Maguire nailed their penalty perfectly though and both are defenders.
