Plus, it would be very cool to watch these two of the best teams of their continent to fight it out between each other, that would be just insane to watch.
The FIFA confederations cup should give us a glimpse of this as all champions from the different continents would get to play against each other.
I heard some news about FIFA planning to cancel the tournament and replace it with another, not sure if that plan has been put in motion yet.

Actually there were no doubts that Italy was going to win the euro 2020 after beating my prefer team Belgium, it was obvious, although as always a team like Italy is always full of drama, this team plays differently, rescuing the lost slogan the azure claw, this drives it as A strong candidate to win Qatar 2022, perhaps a final Italy Vs Belgium can be seen in the next soccer world cup.  Smiley

How many millions of dollars have you won from bookmakers knowing this information?  Wink
I think, even being completely confident, you did not make bets, since sensations and real knowledge of the future are two different things. In fact, there could have been any result in this final.

It was terribly unpleasant for me when almost all the players of the English team together and demonstratively removed the silver medals of the championship from their necks.  This was a clear disregard for the competition itself.  I understand their offense, but the game is the game, and the silver award is also very honorable.
I am then very disappointed in the England players.

This is typical English team (as well as their people in common). I can't say that I'm disappointed, because i was expecting something like this to happen.

But as i saw one picture from italian fan: "Pasta lavista, baby"   Grin

This is good that Italy has won!

And because football lives on goals, and this Euro 2020 had enough, the opportunity for fans to vote on the ones they liked the most arrived.

UEFA lists the competition's top 10 goals and everyone can vote.

.... Therefore, perhaps with this gesture, the British simply emphasized the depth of their failure. By the way, the loss was also overshadowed by the attacks of the fans, who focused on the fact that only black players - "Rashford, Saka and Sancho" - did not realize their strikes.
Of course it's a shame to lose such a decisive match.  Moreover, on penalties and not in playing or extra time.  But the silver medal of the championship is a very respected and honorable award.  And such a demonstrative and defiant attitude towards her disappointed I think many fans and the British and Italians themselves.  And in general, everyone who watched the match.  It is not known which of the players or managers came up with this gesture, but I would have fired him for such disrespect for the honorary award.

I am also hopeful that a Maradona Super Cup will happen and should happen based on who Maradona was inside the green field(I don't care what he did to his life after leaving football).Argentina vs Italy is kinda like a classic,it is like seeing a final of a World Cup by the quality of the players these two teams possess. It is also true that many Argentians with the surname of Di before like Di Maria or De Federico and like this are originating from Italy.
That would be an insane thing if it happens, I don't know if it will happen or not but if it does that will be amazing. This Argentina team versus this Italian team it will be just perfect game to watch. Plus, it would be very cool to watch these two of the best teams of their continent to fight it out between each other, that would be just insane to watch.

However if it is going to happen I hope that it would be better to get it known waaaay before it happens, like at least 2 weeks before, that way everyone will have a chance to both get their bets in, and there could be promotions and bonuses and other special things that will make it known. That is why I believe we should see it earlier so that casinos would have time to make those type of marketing stuff, and then people end up betting after those things, for this to happen it should be early known.

Regarding this incident ... A couple of weeks ago I came across an interview with Harry Kane in which he stated that if the English team did not win the Cup with all their privileges, it would be the biggest disappointment in English football, (what he probably meant by privilege was a lightweight tournament path, games at Wembley, and a stellar line-up). Therefore, perhaps with this gesture, the British simply emphasized the depth of their failure. By the way, the loss was also overshadowed by the attacks of the fans, who focused on the fact that only black players - "Rashford, Saka and Sancho" - did not realize their strikes.
England have been the underdog national team for the many games they have played for the Euro and the world cup. As long as I've been a football fan it's the first time I've seen England reach the final and yes they failed. Meanwhile I have watched Italy win world cup titles and Euro on penalties vs England and France so far. England are good because there is a lot of great talent from their players every competition, but they won't win anything.

It is evident that penalty kicks are one of the most stressful aspects of a European cup final.
Penalty kicks are the most stressful thing hands down, especially when the stakes are this high. Anybody can score 10/10 on practice but only very few of players can do it when it matters. You have to pick guys with nerves of steel or guys who don't care, everything else doesn't matter when you get to that final penalty kick.

Funny story: my friend was goalkeeper in youth categories of local club, I watched few of his training sessions. Once, his coach was training him from penalty spot, shooting rabona each time and calling the side where he will shoot just before he kicked the ball. He still scored 10/10 and hit every single one of them in the top corner.

Penaltiy kick at a big event is always stressful and also involves some luck. Also the decisions of the goalkeeper are a bit of luck, that he chooses the right corner, of course, the penalty kick is also trained but it is then the nerves and a portion of luck decisive.

Gianluigi "Gigio" Donnarumma is for me also a very good goalkeeper when shooting penalties, you also have to shoot well and accurately.

The English fans are the worse set of fan base, the black players are always the scapegoats whenever things don't go there way, the same black player(Sterling) took them from the group stage to the quarter final and even to the final. It disgusting how the English fans see football, if you can not support the team during the worse period then they don't deserve to call themselves fans but racists.

The three guys who played brilliantly all summer plucked up the courage and took the initiative in the moment when it was needed. They deserve understanding and support, not the dastardly racist insults that continue to this day. If you insult someone on social media, you are not an England fan, we don’t want you to root for us.

Many players may not feel burdened when they are undergoing a training session with their teammates. But there is a tremendous burden they must face when faced with conditions where the team desperately needs goals. It is not easy for them to do well if the experience and mentality are not good. Sometimes the goalkeeper's provocation can cause the kicker to become so awkward that he kicks off the target.

About England's last 3 kickers in the final, they are young players and they don't have the mentality to decide on penalties in my opinion. There are many other players who deserve it more, but after that it's all just a story full of disappointment that we can hear throughout the history of England vs Italy in yesterday's final.

The championship is over and the discussions are still hot. Smiley

Gianluigi Donnarumma being awarded Player of the Tournament was a great choice! To be a champion, in any role, it means to be performing in the best way possible at any given condition. [...] He can be like Buffon, better than Buffon, in the years to come. Now I see why PSG pays €10m a year for him!
It is unlikely that he can be compared to Buffon, but he is a really good goalkeeper and I am very glad that, against the background of the transfer shocks of this summer, from now on he will be a part of PSG. I will not even be upset at all if for some time he will be the understudy of the main goalkeeper, (after all, PSG is almost the only top club in the world that can afford to take a top player with a huge salary and at the same time keep him in reserve). Undeads.com - P2E Runner Game
The European Football Association (UEFA) chose today, Tuesday, 5 players from Italy, the winner of the title, and 3 players from England, the runner-up, in the ideal squad for the European Championship "Euro 2020".

The ideal Euro formation was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Donnarumma (Italy).
Defenders: Maguire(England), Kyle Walker (England),Bonucci (Italy),Spinazzola (Italy).
Midfield: Pedri (Spain), Georgino (Italy), Höbberg(Denmark).
Forwards: Chiesa (Italy), Raheem Sterling (England), Lukaku (Belgium).

Of course, for those who ask about the reason of Lukaku’s presence instead of Ronaldo in the squad, the answer is clear.. Ronaldo was crowned top scorer with five goals he scored, but three of them came from penalty kicks.
Italy and England were able to advance to the finals of the euro this year, so it is not surprising that many players from both teams were included in UEFA's 11 best players of Euro 2020, but I was a little surprised by UEFA's decision to include Raheem Sterling in the squad, because in my opinion there are players who are more deserving of the position and one of them is the Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick who played quite well and was able to score 5 goals.
Raheem Sterling dosn't deserve to be in that list he dives too much with just a minor contact with his opponent he goes down easily I see that as a cheat, I also agreed that Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick should have been nominated into list unfortunately he was omitted the decision taken by the body in the selection of the the best players is best known to UEFA It would have been better if the selection is based on voting by the stake holders of the body eg like coaches or managers of different countries, other players listed deserves to be in the list, although Portugal couldn't go far in the competition Ronaldo would have been selected I am very sure he would have score more goals and skillfully showcase more of his talents even at 36 years.

So what do you say to Donnarumma being player of the tournament?

In the preliminary round Donaruma was good he did not concede. In the next game he did well too, I think he deserved that. PSG looks lucky if his performance is still good like this.

I would definitely choose Schick instead of Sterling, but that’s just my subjective opinion. Who knows what UEFA takes as criteria. Looking at the player statistics, I see that Sterling has significantly higher passing accuracy.

I am not a huge soccer ( sorry, football ) fan but when it comes to tourney time whether it's UEFA or Champions League or whatever, then I find it pretty fun and entertaining to watch.  Being that my family traveled over on the preverbal boat from Italy 2 generations ago, I always room for team Italia and put a few shekels on the game.  I really had no idea who would win but thought it would be fun to bet it anyway.  What an exciting game!!

I wouldn't support the inclusion of Lukaku as well. Both Sterling and Lukaku played in a selfish manner and that turned out to be disadvantageous to the teams they represent. I guess the selection was purely made on the basis of star power, rather than looking in to the performance during the tournament. As you have mentioned, the omission of Patrik Schick is shocking. There were a few other deserving players who lost out as well. I couldn't believe that they omitted Cristiano Ronaldo. How can they?
