after germany (with Hansi Flick), another nation has now sacked its national coach.
poland today dismissed portuguese Fernando Santos. after 5 qualifying games in group e, poland is in 4th place with 6 points and is in doubt about participation in euro 2024.
FS played a total of 6 games as national coach of poland (3 wins - 3 losses). who will be his successor is not yet known...
The federation didn't accept the loses while Poland fight against Albania so that's why they have decide to sacked Fernando Santos and Poland current position at 4th place and they only can able to collect 6 points from 5 matches so this is difficult situations for them because most likely Poland will not qualified to Euro 2024 actually Fernando Santos is a good manager and he even successfully to gets Euro 2016 trophy and Nation League trophy on 2019 with Portugal but unfortunately he hasn't suitable to train Poland because under him Poland performance was so poor even before this loses Poland has been humiliated by other weak team Moldova and finally after 8 months train this team the federation has decide to sacked him

As Fernando Santos kept Cristiano Ronaldo in the substitutes in the World Cup I'm not sorry about him at all. I hope that he can't find a team to manage that easy from now on. I have a nice recommendation for Germany national team. They can transfer S.Kuntz who is now managing Turkey national team and save us from him. Smiley

Lukaku is still a good player, it is just that he hasn't been able to play with a single team for too long, and he keeps on having his system adjusted all the time. This results with him starting over nearly every year, first Chelsea then inter then Chelsea then inter then Roma and so forth, he keeps changing and teams change meanwhile, managers change, tactics change, and he is not the person he used to be because of this.

I believe that he is good at his nation because he is the same person there, and he knows what he has to do. Plus it was just one game, he could still get worse for his nation as well and I believe that he will, but not right now. We have seen him not be that before, it could happen again.

Austria is doing extremely well just like Albania is doing in their group, and they will most likely both be qualified for the Euro,Austria on top of Sweden and Albania on top of Poland. When you only rely on yourself you can make huge steps forward and to be successful as Sylvinho,ex Arsenal,Albania coach has said since the beginning of this qualifying campaign "there are no big teams and small teams anymore, football changes way to rapidly and for us every game is a final".Such mentality is paying off for this qualifier,I believe the same for Austria.

It's good to see different teams gaining ground and playing better
I like Sylvinho a lot, he played for Corinthians, which is the team I support, and I liked his speech a lot, it's very consistent with today, where bigger teams need to show why they are bigger, and not just stay in the past.
Albania are doing their job well, with two supposedly better teams, Czechia and Poland, they have a great chance of qualifying and continue a good job

Albania and Scotland are the two teams that have surprised me the most (maybe Austria too ok hehe  Cheesy )
While Norway, Iceland and Sweden are the ones that have disappointed me because I expected at least a better level of soccer

Hansi Flick is the first ever sacked coach in Germany national team history if I'm not mistaken.

It must be feeling really bad for him to be the first one. Because I don't remember Germany this much bad in the past to tell the truth. They have been one of the best teams in the world for so many years. But their performance in the recent times is just horrible. That embarrassing loss against Japan was the final straw to sack him.

Rudi Völler is caretaker manager for now. There are some candidates like Nagelsmann for the job. Tuchel was reported to be offered the job but he rejected.

He is a good coach overall but just wasnt able to find a way in the national team and Germany needed to sack him to try and get some good results because they will need it in the euros to try and win the title because they have a really good team and they need to go far with it.

Successive poor results is very difficult to accept especially for a team that should be doing well, Germany got rid of their coach and recorded their first victory against France in a very long time, the football federation in Poland also saw how changing the coach had affected the teams performance against France, they will also like to experience that. It was embarrassing for them to loose to small countries like Albania and Moldova. The coach has not been long with the team, but you do need to wait too long for you to know when a coach does not suite a team.

It looks really bad for Poland because they have also lost the direct comparison with Albania already and they have lost 3-1 in the first game against Czech Republic. To win the direct comparison in case they are equal in points with Czech Republic, they would also have to win their game 3-0 to officially surpass them.

The whole constellation is looking bad for them and considering how the rest of the match plan is set up, it would need a miracle for them to qualify.

Well, since life started kicking Germany in the balls, they accidentally got a win last night
They did not accidentally win. They played well and won the game. They attacked well, looked more serious than they have in their previous games, and they were able to score two good goals that made them winners. It was a friendly game and maybe France did not put in their best performance and use their best team, but they surely did not make the game easy for Germany. The victory over France gives them hope going to the Euro 2024 as the host, that their team will have a better performance and will not be a shame to them not being able to qualify from the group stages.
Yes, I also don't think Germany's victory over Francis was due to coincidence or luck. In that match, Germany played aggressively and toughly to beat France. We can see that from the start of the match, Germany played aggressively so it didn't take long, in the 4th minute Thomas Muller continued Henrichs' pass with a hard kick towards Maignan's goal and scored.

I see the German squad seems to be getting an extra boost of motivation to end the negative trend. It's true that France played well, but they made too many mistakes themselves. I see this victory as very important for Germany who need good results after the dismissal of coach Hansi Flick.
It was just a friendly match. That's how football goes - Japan won, but France couldn't defeat them. It's really nice to see my German team getting back to winning matches. Congratulations for bringing passion and joy back to the country!

Italy won important match over Ukraine, and increased their chances to pass the group (which is widely expected), Ukraine has home turf chance to get back, but will be difficult now
England is top in the group, and North Macedonia doesn't get off so easy (they already kicked Italy from last WC)

one can't say the same for Sweden, they will miss their first Euro after 1996, after being down from Austria, home and away, combined with home loss to Belgium, they have to say goodbye to competition

But at least there is still a second match later and to be honest, Italy position is not completely safe and Ukraine also at least still has a chance to qualify. At least, if Italy fails to be consistent then of course, Ukraine will still be able to take advantage of the situation to take over second place. Maybe this is at least the worst possible thing for Italy and the best possible thing for Ukraine. But apart from that, of course Italy has a big effort to qualify again to be able to play in this competition. There is no good reason for Italy to fail in this phase, because after all Italy is one of the best teams in Europe and of course Italy must still qualify.

I saw the whole thing and it was a good match, the first half was practically dominated, the second half they paid with weariness for the strong aggressiveness of the first half part of game

you can see what shoulder pads had a hand in, I dont understand how Napoli could lose the coach who made them win the scudetto, absurd things in my opinion

Spalletti is very good coach

It would definitely be very fun if you bet on both teams scoring goals and of course we don't need to worry if Italy fails to win this match. Cheesy

However, it seems that the Italian players have started to adapt a little to Spalletti's style of play so that what is targeted can be achieved. As a quite experienced coach, Spalletti is now increasingly confident in bringing the Italian squad to a better level in the Euro 2024 competition and we should look forward to other breakthroughs that Spalletti will bring in the future.
Spalletti is a very good coach, we all saw what he did with Napoli, building a solid team that very tough to play against and even won the Serie A with them before he decided to resign and i think he's gradually bringing that mentality of winning into the Italian national team because I was impressed with their performance seeing how they dominated the match against Ukraine and won them comfortably at home which has given them the advantage of qualifying.
My prediction for their next match against Malta is that they'll win with 1.5 goals because Malta is the weakest team in the Group C and are yet to win any match so it would be easy for Italy to score more than one goal and they'll even be playing with at home, giving them more advantage to easily win the match comfortably.

against Ukraine they performed better with so many chances created. quite different when Ilatia was held to a draw by North Macedonia 1-1. Italy had good possession of the ball but unfortunately they didn't have many options for finishing.
Meanwhile, in the match against Ukraine, they tried to create more opportunities and managed to win the match.

For some reason, I think that in the last few years the performance of the Italian national team squad has experienced some decline. just my personal view. but in this group Italy should be able to accompany England to qualify.

Seeing Italy finally achieve victory at least brought good news to all the Italian people who were watching. Italy won with a score of 2-1 over Ukraine and although the match was quite tough, Italy was much better this time. Frattesi's brace in the first half put Italy ahead and although Ukraine managed to catch up with Yarmolenko's goal, it wasn't enough to equalize.

In the second half there was no change at all so Italy's victory made them even more confident about qualifying for Euro 2024. Currently Italy and Ukraine both have a total of 7 points and I think this will be a fierce battle for second place for both teams. Meanwhile, England doesn't seem to be at all troubled because they have good capital points to become group C winners.

I saw the match (only the first half) and both goals
It was a very fun match to watch and Italy practically dominated the first half
I have to say that Spalletti has already done an excellent job, well done Frattesi but the whole team is well done

I don't know what they will do with just one win. They have just 7 points from 4 matches and are trailing England in Group C by a big margin. Ukraine and North Macedonia also have 7 points each, but these two teams have played 5 matches each. In the next round, it is going to get tough for Italy. One of their matches are against England, and I don't think that they have a realistic chance of getting any points from this match. So after the completion of next match, it is very much possible that Italy maybe relegated to the 3rd place in points table.

The Italian team is not very lucky in the sense that even though England have 13 points in the scenario where Italy beats Malta and then beats England, the number of their points is equal. Therefore, most likely the England - Italy game will take place when England has 13 points, Italy has 10 and England will play to win to close the issue here and now (plus to please their fans). I don’t think that Italy will be able to get more than one point in this game.

Italy defeated Ukraine 2-1 in a tough encounter and moved into 2nd place despite having a game in hand.Italy dominated the match and managed to score 2 goals in 30 minutes with Frattesi.Yarmolenko's goal towards the end of the first half made it 2-1, but Ukraine failed to get any points from the game.
In the other match in the group, Malta lost 2-0 to Macedonia at home.Enis Bardhi made 2 assists in the match and the goals came in the first half.Eljif Elmas scored one of his goals.Malta did not play badly in the match but it was a match where the one who found the goals won. Thus, all 3 teams have 7 points and it seems that the competition will continue until the last match.Of course, it should not be forgotten that Italy has 1 match less.

I was quite surprised to see Austria take those three points in such a convincing manner. They have been very efficient with their chances and Arnautovic is still going a great job although not much is hard about him when he plays for his club. But both teams have to work on their passing accuracy as that was quite obviously a problem for both of them.

And in general this was probably the most important game in the group so far as it seemed to be very likely that this group will be decided between Sweden and Austria for the second rank. Now it is 7 points advantage for Austria over Sweden. It is a bit sad as Sweden is actually a nice team and country and I would have liked to see them play at the Euro 24.

The last game was crucial for Sweden in my opinion.

The group looks like this:
Belgium - 13 points
Austria - 13 points
Sweden - 6 points

If Sweden had won, it would have been
Belgium - 13 points
Austria - 10 points
Sweden - 9 points

Sweden would then need to beat Azerbaijan and Estonia, which wouldn't be difficult, and try for a draw against Belgium at least
But now the situation has become very difficult. Austria are relying on themselves to qualify and are unlikely to lost the 6 points against the weaker teams, and could even lose against Belgium, it's sad but Sweden lost the two matches against Austria

In fact, I missed the chance to place my bet on that Portugal game hehehe, so I think I'll do a multiple in victories of Italy, North Macedonia and Norway, with 3.43 odds  Cool Cool Cool

Another winning bet hehehe, I managed to hit that multiple of 3 after hitting one of 4 in the first round
I finished this leg of the qualifiers with a good profit, and I'm going to leave it separate just for the Euro qualifiers
I've been getting good results from these bets

Has anyone else made a profit from these last few games?

I almost put a Sweden win on this bet, but I didn't want to risk that much, I already considered Italy and Norway to be enough of a risk

I was quite surprised to see Austria take those three points in such a convincing manner. I think after yesterday's games, the fight for a place at Euro 2024 in Group F is virtually over. Belgium and Austria have 13 points each, while the Swedes have only six points. The teams have three matches left to play before the finish line. The Swedes needed only a victory in the game with Austria, but they lost. Now only a miracle can help Sweden.
