It is true that Germany was not among the main favorites at the World Cup in Qatar, but almost no one expected that they would not be able to make it to the knockout stage of the competition, it was still a big surprise.
I really expected that Spain and Germany would definitely go from that group to the knockout phase of the competition, but Japan really played very well at the World Cup and they must be congratulated.
Germany was the world champion less than 10 years ago, and now they can't even make it to the knockout stage of the world cup, their decline is really surprising and shocking. Realistically, they are not among the favorites for next year's EURO.
Germany repeated the bad results that happened four years earlier, because when in Russia they also failed to qualify from the group phase, surprisingly enough in 4 years they did not change, so after they managed to become World Cup champions for the fourth time actually 2 consecutive World Cups they got quite embarrassing results.
It seems that they as tournament specialist no longer exists in a German team that used to perform quite well in every major tournament of football, despite not being champions but we will rarely see them fail in the group phase because at least the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final are their venues.
In this European Cup they will be expected to experience changes and achieve better results than those obtained in the World Cup.

Yes it feels really different to see Germany in this situation. They were like the dominator of such tournaments many years ago. It was their golden age certainly and it looks like it has come to an end for now. There is a big difference between the players of those times and now though. Because now we can see many more quite young talents in the squad.

The squad's overall age is quite low but I still don't think this is an obstacle for being more successful. Because it is still full of many talented players. They just need to improve their team play more than this. If they start to play in coherence with each other more in time they can slowly bring back the old times maybe.

I perceive that England's chances of winning the Europa League in 2024 are significantly better compared to previous years. In fact, they possess a surplus of players from Manchester City who could easily be called up to represent the national team. At least eight players from the City's first team are at England's disposal. This presents a significant advantage for England, as the recent triumph of Pep Guardiola in the UEFA Champions League has instilled a stronger mentality among the players, preparing them to challenge for the title. Additionally, they benefit from a deep understanding and cohesion as a team, having played together at the club level.

If we take a closer look at the current list of English players, nearly all of them are plying their trade at top European clubs. This fact, coupled with their exceptional quality, brings them a step closer to championship glory. It seems that their lack of fortune has been the only missing piece in their pursuit of success.

I think that the biggest problem for England is that their players are not playing "for the team" when they are playing for the national team. There is a lot of great players in their national team, but you can't have a great national team if you don't have players that get along with each other. I'm not saying that they are fighting among themselves, but I have a feeling that they give their best while playing for their clubs, but not while playing for the national team. And I think that is the reason why they haven't won any title recently.

It's not just because of their friendly games. They did absolutely nothing in the last World Cup at Qatar. They finished the World Cup as a third team behind Japan and Spain. Ending up behind Spain is not that much of a surprise, but I'm pretty sure no one expected that Japan will take the 1st place in the group.

What happened in Qatar didn't surprised anyone. After the retirement of their main players, Germany has been on the decline. They will be hosting the 2024 edition of the Euro Cup, and therefore they are not required to participate in the qualifying tournament. If they were playing in the qualifier, then there was no guarantee that they would have got a berth to the main tournament. Their performance in Qatar was part of a much larger issue. Many of the UEFA teams, including Germany, Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium are struggling to replace the vacuum left by retiring players.

Manchester City's victory in the Champions League cannot be a benchmark for the England national team to win the title at the Euro because after all, the players in the Manchester City squad are also not entirely from England. So yes, even though the English Premier League and also the teams in the English Premier League are very big and also have very tough competition, the reality is that the England national team cannot easily get good results in every tournament. But indeed, at this moment the England national team is still unbeaten. Of course, it is a good result for them and thus, at least these good results can continue and not only be obtained in this phase.

England has starting the qualification stage with very well and they got 4 consecutive wins and collect 12 points and 6 point above to Ukraine in the second place and for qualification matches i would never doubt to them because England always be superior and they often to finish at first place even i still remember on 2015 England can able to gets 10 consecutive wins with unbeatable status so England always be performing well

But i don't know why when Euro cup started England always be hard struggle to gets the trophy and everybody know England was never being an the champion from this competition and in the last tournament they almost made a history but their dream were burried by Italy and for next tournament i am sure they will be qualified to Euro 2024 and hopefully England will be able to being an the champion this time

In fact, he's playing very well, I expect great things from this team, in fact where football was born
It has been a bit tarnished in recent years, but it is making a comeback with a good game, it is no coincidence that an English team won the UCL.

Can't wait for this to kick off just to see another version of the last World Cup at Qatar, with the way the host nation Germany are going I can't see them doing much, speaking from present performance, you'd agree with me that they're still struggling to get their legs together. The question is can they match the likes of England Spain even Portugal, if eventually they [Germany] come against these countries can they play like the German machine we know back then? I really can't say much about the host nation Germany, to me the strongest is the 3 Lions of England second to the Portuguese.
I agree, this could be very entertaining but we are still one year away from it so it is not going to be anytime soon just yet. I know that people are excited about it and I am one of those people as well and I love to see it happen soon as well.

But, we have to wait and too many people looked into this season and maybe even next season to see if it is going to be alright or not but the reality is that we are not going to know what's going to happen this early on. Let's see what the players will be like next season by the end and we could have a better understanding. Plus there are a lot of players who are good at their clubs but not that great at their national league so it becomes a bit harder to judge what's going to happen as well.

On the contrary, I'm not sure that Scotland will continue to play with the same 100% result (even against Cyprus or Georgia) - in the end they are not the top team to dominate and the loss of points will be 100%. But the question is that there are two guaranteed places in the group and it is unlikely that Spain is very worried about the ticket number - first or second, and therefore Spain will also not play at 100% result and most likely will not be able to overtake Scotland.

Spian has only played 2 matches so far, while Scotland and Norway has played 4 matches each. And this is also one of the reasons why Spain is at no.4 position in the pints table for Group A. In the next round, Spain is having matches against Georgia, Cyprus and Scotland and that should enable them to get past Scotland. On the other hand, if Scotland is able to hold Spain for a draw, then things will once again get interesting in Group A. Anyway, Scotland seems to be in terrific form and may qualify for the main tournament either as Group A toppers or as runners up.

I don't think it's very interesting to follow the clarification of what will be the order of the teams in the group Scotland - Spain or Spain - Scotland. With their start of 4 victories, Scotland created a group of uninteresting after so few games played. The only intrigue can be, for example, if Georgia begins (continues) to displace Norway from third place.

You can't judge German performance based on their friendly match, if you look their performance on the last world cup, they're still strong but little bit unlucky due placed in tough group. German seems lack of good striker, but we will know it during Premier League since Havertz will play in Arsenal.

Yes, Ronaldo is truly a phenomenon, but the fact is that he is no longer playing at the top level and that the end of his football career is approaching. However, it looks like we will be seeing him in another major competition, probably for the last time.
Ronaldo can still play at the top level, but the problem is there's no club willing to pay his big salary due to he's already old, they're worried if they make a mistake by signing Ronaldo. But as we can see Ronaldo is really good in the qualifiers, if Portugal can become a champion, we might see Ronaldo could comeback to Europa club.

So far in Euro 2024 qualifiers the most impressive teams have been England and Portugal considering the general statistics. England have a little tougher group than Portugal on paper but the general difficulty of them isn't that challenging. Because there are many weak teams in both groups. However this effort by both teams still deserves attention.

I would really like to see England being successful in this Euro tournament. The qualifiers have been going like a warm-up round for England before the main tournament. They haven't been able to achieve anything with Southgate so I would really like to see them putting an end to this by Euro 2024 finally. However I still can't trust them in his management fully.

When it comes to Portugal, I really admire Ronaldo as he still continues to score goals with the national shirt. I don't know when he would retire from national football but it seems like we can see him in Euro 2024.

I would not really agree that England has not been very successful in recent world competitions so far. At the last EURO, they unfortunately lost in the final against Italy, and at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, they played in the semi-finals, while they unfortunately lost against France in Qatar.
England are always there somewhere, very close to the trophy and they just need a bit of luck and more experience to go all the way.
Maybe already at EURO next year? Anyway, they are one of the main favorites for me.

Reaching the finale in Euro 2020 must be the biggest success England have had since the beginning of 2000s. They were so close to win a trophy finally but Italy defeated them even in England's home stadium. Other than that I don't remember them reaching even the finale for once in the time period I mentioned. But of course this progress in Euro 2020 is important. As we see them doing great in the qualifiers stage right now I hope to see the same ambition in Euro 2024 as well.

If this ends up with another disappointment about winning a trophy then I don't think the board would extend with Southgate for more years.

Scotland are really quite an impressive team in this stage so far. They won two really difficult matches against Norway and Spain as well and still continue with zero point losses. McTominay has been quite impressive with his extra performance about scoring goals. He scored 5 out of 9 goals of the team so far. This is really a solid work by him considering he isn't a striker.

Besides he isn't a very valuable player for Manchester United for a while too. But maybe the reason why he is so ambitious at his national team is to win his place back at Manchester United. But while there is a competition for his position his job wouldn't still be easy at all. They are even thinking of getting rid of him in a swap deal for Rice.

Scotland is a really big surprise but their position after two wins over their direct competitors looks very solid - it will be hard for Spain to compete for first place in my opinion, but in any case Scotland will get at least second place.
As for Norway, everything will depend on the composition of the "path" in which they will try to get a ticket - if all the favorites perform well, then Norway will have the same weak teams as their competitors, and here the presence of Haaland will be an undeniable trump card.

Scotland are completely unbeaten so far and as such, I'm sure Scotland will still be top of the table. Because after all, with Scotland who still haven't experienced defeat, then of course Scotland has big ambitions to be able to maintain its position. Although indeed, the threat will come from Spain but still, because Spain also does not have smooth results, it seems that it will be difficult to overtake Scotland. It is certainly very interesting to wait for, but I personally am very confident that at this moment Scotland will be able to maintain its performance to stay consistent on the winning path.

Scotland beating Cyprus was expected, that was an easy win but them beating Norway was a bit harder to be fair but still doable on paper not impossible, Georgia was obviously another very simple one, only one that I can't believe is Spain, because they won nations league just recently so they are still a very good team and yet they lost to Scotland.

In any case, they will recover and they will be second at worst case and be in playoffs and beat everyone, or even yet maybe Scotland won't continue like this and Spain will beat everyone and take that first spot we do not know. So far it is really good job by Scotland, I didn't expect them to be this good and I think they will not be that great when it comes to Euro, but they will be in it.
