Everyone is talking about Leverkusen because the performance they put on was extraordinary, they were almost unbeatable in all competitions this season, but Atalanta appeared like a thorn in the flesh which made Leverkusen suffer very painful pain.

You are right, expectations will always exist in the world of football, where everyone will start to have expectations because they saw the game of a very promising club in the previous season and they start to expect that in the next season they will also do the same, namely play as well as possible.

However, this is the Champions League and as said here every pressure will be greater and they have to be ready for all of that. And actually it's not just them, but all clubs must be prepared for the pressure they will receive. But here is the difference, when a club is used to it here, mentally they will be better trained because they are used to it, but for clubs that are not used to it, it will be a challenge for them, how can they withstand every pressure that exists.

This is a job for every coach, where they have to ensure their squad is in excellent condition.

I'm sure that touch of incentive would have been very good for a team like Roma, at that time managed and directed by Mourinho, and that is something we see very clearly We just have to see if this team can perform well next season.

A very strong competition was lacking in the bundesliga and it was possible that the league was always won by a particular team for over a decade making it such a predictable league because the winners are most likely known even from the beginning of the league and that kept the league almost not interesting or competitive enough for people to want to give enough attention to watching again but then it happened that that trend got broken at a point in the just concluded season. a team that was least expected win the league title without a single defeat, something even Bayern Munich have not really done in a long time in this their history of dominance in the bundesliga.

Next season will be another chance for all the teams in the league to throw their weight and see who gets it best a d who will be able to win the trophy, is it the defending champions or the former champions or another is going to emerge, we are going to see and hope the league takes a different shape again and begin to foster that competitiveness that may get the league to attract more attention and for people to see it as really interesting and competitive as it should be and no just one team always getting to dominate the league too often meanwhile there are others who could do better if given the chance.

The upcoming season is going to be great for Leverkusen as they will be playing in the Champions League next season. This season they performed great like they surprised everyone hope they do something like this next season too. Although the matter is very difficult, just imagine if this team can qualify for the Champions League next season and win the championship in the first tournament, then how much the discussion will be about them in the football world. I know there are strong opponents for the Champions League but the way they have performed this season and the way they have beaten the big teams but nothing is impossible for this team. The club management must be satisfied with such great performances and they are surely ready to spend a lot of money for the upcoming season.

Don’t be surprised they’ll be unbeaten in the next season but I also don’t feel so. Although, anything can happen in football and if we look into it in that aspect, then we can’t give up on the possibilities of it happening. Bayern Leverkusen will be more closely watched and get a grasp on their game pattern by many teams, so they need to be extra prepared for a tougher and more difficult season. If they need to win again, they need to put extra effort than what they’ve put before now.


A competitive case like this is what is not in Bundesliga and has made premier league to be the best amongst all the European leagues in Europe. The competitive nature of the premier league that no team can win the league trophy in such a long succession is what makes it stands out amongst the rest and watched more than others. If we are seeing the league trophy going from one team to another, it means the competitive nature of the league has improved and they’ll also be more recognised than they were before all around the world beyond Europe.

When we look at the live standings after two rounds now, before Belgium finishes their game against Romania which is a certain win for them in my opinion, we would notice that all strong and most expected team to to qualify are doing their best to score and win every single match, is for me an indicator to what’s coming next, as I have mentioned before and was telling everyone, this 2024 Euro is going to be one of a kind if not the best competition in last years. True that we cannot compare old generations but compared to other competitions in last years this one is really entertaining.
Portugal for example, today played against Turkey and showed us their strength to compete for the trophy and as one highly expected team to win, after their last Euro in 2016, Ronaldo is still present and surely want to win the Euro once again after their poor performance in last world cup.

Betting on such matches is very hard, especially the next upcoming rounds and this groups stage. We have so many teams qualified to be in finals, who would you support and predict to win? Personally, Portugal!

I'd you remember they only lost the finals in the Europa , every other game in the Europa they played, they didn't loose a single one so I was actually wondering the kind of brilliance could be transmitted from the bundesliga to the Europa because they were like the best team in the Europa after the exit of Liverpool who were considerd to have great potential of winning the Europa before Leverkusen was now prioritized in the consideration because they made it beyond the semi finals where Liverpool stopped at. Leverkusen for me had a complete display of brilliance across all the leagues they did played in last season, they only made the mistake of loosing out in the most important and vital game thst would have crowned their efforts the whole season.

If only Leverkusen was more prepared and didn't get to under estimate the abilities of Atlanta in that final game, I want to believe that they are most possibly going to be able win that finals or even taking it to a draw and hoping to win in penalty shoot out and that was my expectations for that game but interestingly it turned out the other way. For Leverkusen I believe it's a lesson learnt just as you have said, they hoped to make a massive record in football history last season but for Atlanta stopping them but in the bundesliga and the polka tournament in Germany they still made records regardless, a trio I supposed was the target .

A team like Girona finds it difficult to maintain consistency like last season and if they don't get some of the players they need next season then it will be difficult to maintain their top three positions in the standings next season. I agree that they have to do some evaluations next season and may need to bring in some players for needed positions so that Girona's strength will be much stronger.

The transfer market should be a step for Girona to bring in several players and the availability of money will determine which players they will recruit. If you want to compete, the club owner must be willing to spend money to find the players needed because relying on last season's strength, it is difficult for Girona to maintain the top three positions in the standings.

Xabi Alonso proved himself as a player, and he's showing real promise as a manager. Leverkusen under him? They have energy and talent. Their Europa League run? It was skill, not luck. Champions League is the big leagues. You've got the best of the best, every single week. I enjoy Leverkusen, but dont get carried away. They have a rough road.

Losing important players might hurt. Plus, group stage draw? Its a lottery. It could be lucky or bad. Ask Manchester United about that. Yes, Alonso is smart. He knows tactics. But even he cant do miracles. Leverkusen could make noise, but a semi-final run? Lower expectations, folks. Lets see how they handle summer and pressure. Then we can talk.

I would guess that Girona situation will be a little sensitive. Because they had one good season so far, that's it. Meaning that they are going to end up with a situation that is going to be quite tough, and I am not sure if we are going to face the same thing again and again. We should probably have some changes in some places, and for that to work, we need to make sure that we are dealing with a good thing and not having any issues.

This could be done with Girona keep getting good players like they did, so they could continue to be good, but that's about it, I do not think that it will be simple. We need to just see Gironas transfer period before we can decide, but I feel like they will probably not be as good this year.

Leverkusen performance this season is of course surprising us, Leverkusen's success in breaking Bayern Munich dominance is of course a pretty glorious achievement for Leverkusen and also Alonso, the good thing about Leverkusen performance in the Bundesliga cannot be separated from Bayern Munich's poor performance this season so that it makes it easier for Leverkusen to win the Bundesliga, apart from all of that of course we should also appreciate Leverkusen ability to maintain an unbeaten record they are this season, Leverkusen journey in the Europa League is not as easy as this season Bundesliga, their performance is indeed quite good but I think they still do not have a strong mentality to win the Europa League trophy.

So far we have not been able to confirm which teams will compete next season in the Europa League, but seeing the many big and good teams that have qualified from the top 5 European leagues of course it is possible for us to see many surprises in the Europa League next season, I personally believe that next season the Europa League will be more exciting than this season.

Unfortunately, Leverkusen brilliant performance in the Bundesliga could not be transmitted to the Europa League. Leverkusen was able to maintain its best performance in the Bundesliga but this could not be continued in the Europa League. Leverkusen almost made great history since the club was founded, but Atalanta dashed Leverkusen dreams by humiliating them in the final match.
Leverkusen increasing performance became a nightmare for Bayern Munich, they managed to win the Bundesliga trophy while making Bayern Munich end the season without any title. Leverkusen success seems to leave deep wounds due to failing to win the Europa League trophy, even though previously they were considered the team with the most potential to win the title.

As long Bayer Leverkusen has talented players in the team, I don't think poor performance will happen to them next season because they are good in going after any team with full force to beat their opponent to secure victory at the end.

Before his contract will expire in the team, i believe their management will use money to sign in new coach and players to occupy their position to strengthen the players to be able to perform well in all competition to still remain unbeatable to lift some trophy to make their fans happy.
I don't think he will change Liverpool performance next season, because it will take the new coach some season before he will be able to understand his players, and it will cause Liverpool many  frustration if Xavi Alonso become their new coach.

Both of them have experienced very sharp increase in the quality of their performance in this season and have the opportunity to take part in the UCL competition next season, previously they were just team that couldn't do much in the competition but now they are strong team.
But the hype or hot discussion really belongs to Leverkusen and Girona doesn't get that much attention, Girona is still far below Leverkusen because Leverkusen is creating new history that they have never had.
Winning the Bundesliga and being in the Europa League final was an extraordinary success, no one thought that Leverkusen would be able to do all that but in the end Xabi brought Leverkusen to achieve it.

In the Europa League competition next season I think we will see big surprise like this season, there will be several teams that might be able to easily compete because those here as whole are not really strong team.
There is an opportunity for all teams to show their best strengths and of course there is no one that will really stand out to have large percentage of winning the title.
