The Manchester United team has been very depressed in the last few seasons when Ten Hag couldn't do anything, and now Amorim comes when the season is already underway, so for this season I think Amorim just continues and he needs time to pose and build this team according to his wishes or what suits his coaching style.
Seeing Amorim at Sporting Lisbon, I am pessimistic that he will be able to do the same with Manchester United, but everything takes time.
Manchester United needed a rebuild one way or another and at the very least a new coach. The most logical thing was to put a permanent assistant to Ten Hag, who stayed at the club and even played matches as head coach and did well. But if the management decided to change the coach, so be it, they found someone who can respond quickly. I don't expect great things from them this season either, let alone a good Europa League game, but I think we can say for sure about their performance and progress already at the end of the season
