While on the other hand Porto and Bodo/Glimt, I believe in Porto because they have strength of winning too despite they are away.

It feels really great to have 3 Turkish teams competing in the Europa League this season. Smiley Of course my priority is Fenerbahçe's success. But in general our teams can play a significant role in increasing our country coefficient this year. Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş all are going to compete with really qualified squads. Fenerbahçe have "The Special One" in charge as well. I hope we can be competitive for the Europa League trophy.

These three Turkish teams are in a good position this season. Galatasaray is currently dominating the Super Lig. Galatasaray occupies the top spot in the table. Galatasaray's players are now more confident after defeating Fenerbahce in the last match. Galatasaray management also added talented players like Osimhen to the squad to strengthen their attack. Osimhen is likely to perform well on the Europa League platform.

Fenerbahce coach is now Mourinho. He is a very experienced coach. In addition, Fenerbahçe's squad is also quite strong. But the problem is that its performance at Fenerbahçe is still not stable. If Mourinho can't stabilize his performance at Fenerbahçe, the team is unlikely to perform well in the Europa League.

It is difficult to predict the performance of Basictas. Last season we saw poor performances from Besiktas. However, this team is playing very well so far this season. No surprise if Besiktas did well in the Europa League.

Europa league begins and it's great opportunity to use waste my free bets that I got from BSFL and prediction pools. Probably won't watch it today as my Barca is playing on the same time, maybe just will tune in simlucast on second screen. Most interesting games for me is Nice - Real Sociedad and Dynamo Kyiv - Lazio.

Gentlemen! Conference kicks off with the mighty, mighty Manchester United, who take on their illustrious opponents, Twente.
Mate, show some respect to mighty MU. They're still not bad enough to play in Conference, it's Europa league Cheesy. According to bookmakers, they're heavy favourites against Twente, but probably nobody won't be surprised if they will struggle

Remember, Ten Hag has promised a big cup final this season. Is he referring to Europa or the Charity Shield next year?!?!
We are not even sure what Eric Ten Hag can actually do with Manchester united in tonight's game against the Netherlands side, Twente as the club doesn't look convincing to be glorified as mighty going by it's performance in recent times or probably you still dwelling on their old glory days.

It's a home game for Manchester united they have some advantage here to steal all three points if they just can play a better game utilizing their chances to get a blossoming start in the European championship. Ten Hag words isn't anything to depend on right now, what I think he should focus on doing is putting in actions, getting results with less talks.

The Special One has told us to call him The Foreign One, by the way, and I think the Gala side of Turkey now call him The Crying One. I miss Mou...
Jose Mourinho is yet to come to a realization that football games has evolved and he has to also follow suit by changing his coaching style of much defending than attacking. He can't remain conservative and expect to be at the top of his game.

Spoken like a true nationalist. I don't have such hopes for my country but I wish I did, I'd want as many teams as possible to qualify and go high up in our AFC, for the same reason as you. Long term, it's a gain for all the clubs.

^^ Like you I forgot all about Chelski being in here.

And now, we can welcome the likes of Galatasaray, Kiev and Malmo so far -- 2 out of 3 who just finished a season ago in Champions League, one beating Man Utd, the other beating Barca. Can't say there's a shortage of firepower or prestige in this season's Europa!

We'll probably welcome some minor prestige again tonight. Qarabag, Red Star, Lille?

Despite conceding early goal against Jagiellonia, Ajax made seriouis statement for group stage by winning away game 4:1. They had chance to get even bigger win, but missed penalty. Not many upsets in 1st leg, probably only Elfsborg away win against Molde or Ferencvaros failing to win at home against Borac Banja Luka.
You guys are talking about Besiktas defence which doesn't exists. Same thing can be said about Lugano if you look at their recent results, 2nd leg should be fun.

I almost forgot that Chelsea now plays Thursday night football until I saw a notification from Google about their Europa league Conference game against Servette. Didn't see the game but Chelsea won it by 2-0. It's good to see them back winning. Hopefully we will get to see Enzo transfer some of that winning magic to their EPL games otherwise pressure will start mounting soon.

Good to know that these will be the last playoffs before everything goes in full swing.

Beşiktaş certainly has no problems scoring goals this season. They had a 3-1 lead against Lugano, meaning they scored three goals, but if you look at the previous matches they played, you will see that they conceded too many goals in the numbers, and they had the same problem in this match.

In short, while Beşiktaş has no problems scoring goals, they have problems in the defense line. If the Dutch coach can play the right game in defense, Beşiktaş will dominate Lugano in the return match.

Beşiktaş played against Lugano in an away match today. It was one of the enjoyable matches of the night. Beşiktaş could have actually won after capturing a 3-1 advantage. But they weren't good enough in defense and it ended 3-3. They will most probably finish the incomplete work in İstanbul. My team Fenerbahçe are also going to compete in league phase of the Europa League. I hope we can help with country coefficient by collecting some good amount of points.  Smiley

We have new record made. In game between Ajax and Panathinaikos we saw longest ever penalty shootout in UEFA tournaments history. 34 shots were needed to decide winner, whole series took about 25 minutes. Crazy stuff! You won't see often player missing twice in same shootout, but Brian Brobbey did it. Anyway, Ajax won it and goes to final round of qualifiers

Other games didn't delivered upsets. Maybe Lincoln Red Imps win is little surprise, but it wasn't enough for them to qualify.

Today we have 2nd leg qualifying games. For me most interestinggames is Ajax - Panathinaikos and Servette - Braga. Put some money on Ajax win and BTTS on Servette - Braga, I hope it won't be another boring 0:0 draw.
Maccabi - Panevezys is game where we can expect some goals, same like in 1st leg, going with over 2.5 goals makes sense. Rapid - Trabzonspor looks like tricky game, Rapid have minimal advantage from 1st leg. Trying with BTTS here, would like to see Trabzonspor going through.

In 3rd round Ajax - Panathinaikos probably is most interesting pair. Ajax is favorite, but I wouldn't bet on their win away.

I kinda wish Panathinaikos won here, but of course second leg is still a chance, but away I dunno Ajax seems to have a good home record even in their current state. Ajax was fun to watch but now they don't deserve anything with their boring style. Guess 1.6 was very fair in the end, easy money for those betting on favorites last night I guess.

In 3rd round Ajax - Panathinaikos probably is most interesting pair. Ajax is favorite, but I wouldn't bet on their win away. I go with over 2,5 goals there. Same bet in Braga - Servette, Celje - Shamroc Rovers, and Molde - Cercle Brugge as well. Put some money on Trabzonspor ML. Much more on RFS Riga vs Santa Coloma. Odds isn't very high, but it looks like easy money.
And Draw No bet on Klaksvik, they're hard to beat at home and their opponent isn't something special

Atalanta was the team that made this year's winner lose, wow, it really wasn't a match as expected. Lookman sealed the match with his goals. I have never seen Bayern Leverkusen so helpless, I'm talking about this season. Xabi Alanso fell victim to wrong game analysis and wrong choices. Atalanta fought throughout the match and did not lose their resistance and tried to play ahead even when they were ahead. Bayern Leverkusen remained at a very low tempo, compared to Atalanta, I think they did not expect Atalanta's constant pressure and they had a mental collapse because they could not play their own game. Bayern Leverkusen fans supported their team until the end of the match, which has another beautiful side.

Atlanta totally surprised me because out of all the  Club  that were in the Europa  still Got there  Way in, Lookman actually did well. Sometimes I feel that the club is not without the players the kind of players you have with determine the kind of achievements you will get. Even Leverkusen did not win at least they were able to win the Bundesliga, which was also an unexpected winning because it was always Bayern or dortmund, but now things are changing early than expected. Xabi Alanso is doing all he can just to make his club stand out, for him to win the bundles Liga then he can also, Atlanta winning the Europa sign of them being dominant during the game, their will be other games for them to play, so them will both prepare very well before they commence the game, and if not that Bayern Leverkusen have won the bundeliga what ? They still want to win the Europa it's even good that they were defeated by Atlanta.

We have 9 nd qualifying round 2nd leg games today and some opportunities to make money. A bit surprised that odds for Ajax isn't bad at all, around 1.60. But maybe consideringthat they struggled in 1st leg, it's not strange. Anyway, going with their ML tonight. Also, going with Cercle Brugge ML with betboost.
I expect some high scoring games, so, I go with over 2.5 goals in quite many pairs - Elfsborg - Sheriff, Maccabi - Braga, Botev - Panathinaikos, Cercle - Kilmanrock, Rijeka - Huneodara and Rapida - Wisla
Going to make some similar bets on Conference league, but a bit lazy to write down everything.

. BTW, UEL has entered a new phase and this is an old topic, perhaps we should not discuss anything related to UEL until the qualifiers are over. There are many matches that should not be highlighted in the mainstream Roll Eyes.

Whyever not? If you are betting on them, and you follow qualifiers, it is all relevant. I will update the thread title once the proper begins but I think there are plenty of worth watches, especially if you are from a supporting club.

I will, also, however start deleting the spammy posts. Already did a couple from phone but a clunky job of it.

Trabzonspor had an easy win tonight. 2-0 is an important score for the first match.
Trabzonspor will play the next match at home, which is advantageous for them. The second match will be easy for Trabzonspor.

An easy match for them because they played a qualifying match with an unknown team, in the next leg they should be able to easily destroy MFK Ružomberok because they will be playing at home. BTW, UEL has entered a new phase and this is an old topic, perhaps we should not discuss anything related to UEL until the qualifiers are over. There are many matches that should not be highlighted in the mainstream Roll Eyes.

FC Sheriff Tiraspol vs. IF Elfsborg – BTTS @1.69

Sheriff had trouble against a defensive-minded and physical team of Zira, but they got through.

Elfsborg took quite the opposite path, thanks in part to Paphos' two red cards in both matches. The Swedes are a very direct, attacking side which should lead to an end-to-end open game with goals i think. Elfsborg's last 5 matches in all competitions have seen a total of 25 goals, hope that the high-goalscoring trend continues today.
I remember when Sheriff could beat Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu but it's not the same Sheriff now... I'm betting that both teams will score tonight... I hope that Sheriff can score in a home game... I think the same thing will happen in the game Wisla vs Rapid...
That wasn't really something that we could really see all that complicated, they weren't even good enough to do that, but that happened just once and I think we need to end up considering that they had a lucky season and nothing more. They are normally this good, and there are many teams that had that type of year, if you look at UCL history, you will see that many teams had situations that weren't really all that well in other years but had one good year.

Sherrif was one of those teams, won against Real, and the year Real won the UCL as well, so not like some bad Real season neither, it was on the season when Real won both UCL and the league, and yet they lost to Sheriff in the group stages which could be the biggest game in Sherrif history, no victory could ever be bigger than that, not now, not in the future. What we need to realize is that they tried their best, and they still can't get better because financially they can't afford to get players that would make that team better, they are better now but not that much. I am expecting them to not be that great, which is fine, but in the end we are talking about a team that is small and from a poor nation so they are where they deserve.
