I still think like you hahay that ManU will win this game, just placed a (small) bet for them to win @4.9, attractive odds you know but not 100% confident either Undecided
It's already 1-1 now and from the pressure on the Villareal side it's possible they might lose the game, manutd are controlling the midfield now and there have been some goal opportunities as well..... Good luck on your bet
Thanks Mistafreeze, I lost it since the regular time ended with a draw. I was about to bet on BTTS @1.4 or ManU @4.9 and choose the latter which turned wrong. Hope it will be just wrong in the regular time and not in extra time otherwise penalty kicks are pure hazard Undecided

Extra time it is. Good job to Man Utd for being superb in both halves. We wouldn't be in this situation if they didn't lose their guard earlier on in the first half to that Villarreal set piece. Overall, it's a decent game even though Man Utd was doing all the attacking and Villarreal defending surprisingly well. I'm looking forward to the extra time. I would very much before the game not to go into penalties. If Man Utd pushes forward, they might get the winner.

1-1 in the final between Villareal and United.

United is stronger and they are dominating the game.
If I need to tell you who will win I say Manchester.

It's football and anything can still happen. Man Utd are the favorites though.

The absent of Chikwueze on the wing is affecting Villarreal in the attack, they have been poor in the 2nd half, no gaol chances it's all been manutd, there is no one to cut from then left wing, shaw is having a vacation on that wing. Very interesting game.

Villarreal 1 - 0 ManU half time, that's shocking.. Spanish teams will hold EL for them this year too?

Manchester mixing blue and red by the end of this weekend is questionable right now.

Villarreal's performance was excellent in this Europa League final, unfortunately Villarreal failed to maintain his victory after scoring a goal
in the first half. Entering the 55th minute Manchester United managed to score a goal and the current position was 1-1. If we look at the match
statistics, Manchester United has a ball possession of around 63%, It's very dangerous for Villarreal to let Manchester United players have more
control of the ball. But as long as Villarreal can play discipline in maintaining its defense, there is an opportunity to make a counter-attack.

Spanish sides love the Europa league trophy I won't be surprised if Villarreal turns the game against United tonight and clinch the title. They only have three players ( Cavani, Bruno and Greenwood) to try and shut down if they must stand any chance of winning. Bookies are making this game difficult to predict how do you place Villarreal on 5/1 in a cup final? Well, I'm going to bet on goals and booking points.
Yes the Spanish team and that's only about Sevilla, because at least only Sevilla can win this cup for 3 consecutive seasons. Next up is the English team that sometimes wins this trophy. Villarreal has performed well so far and the bottom line is tidy, making United seem to have a deadlock to score a goal, so that Villarreal can lead the match with a score of 1-0 at this time. There's still a lot of time to spend on making a lot of changes, and I'm still confident for United because I'm betting on United.

Keep Bruno Fernandez as key player for Manchester United because he success become greatest midfielder and playing very good with Paul Pogba.
~snip~
Villareal is not an arbitrary team, he is a La Liga mid-table team. They will also play in the European league next season. Some of the players who have performed well this season are Pau Torres, he is  a defender, then there is Gerard Moreno. Gerard is a good striker, he has scored 23 goals in 33 games. MU must be vigilant even though they are seeded. Because in football anything can happen before the game is over.

Villareal is winning already and Manchester United is in a difficult situation. If the first half ends in advantage for Villareal I think it will not be easy for Manchester United to turn things around but a draw is still very possible.Gerard Moreno is the scorer in this game and he has scored quite some goals during this Europa League journey.I hope we end in a draw and in penalty kicks,it is been some time I have not seen them in a final of such level.

match started on a defensive note, and both teams are pretty clear about their motive tonight, to keep clean sheet, and possibly score a goal
hopefully, one goal can change that, and I will put something on a half-time on that one, over 2.5, if there is no goals up to HT

although I like United, just for the sake of diversification, I would like to see Villareal with trophy, EPL will get trophy in CL

I'm one hundred percent sure that Villarreal will put a great effort into this game. This is their biggest chance recently to win an European title

Yeah and do you think this isnt a great chance for Manchester United to win? You seems to rule out the possibility of Manchester United winning the Europa League instead of Villarreal. Its pretty much the same for both sides and United is much better in all aspect. Getting 2nd in Premier League is definitely harder compared with getting 7th in LaLiga

Gerard Moreno has had a really superb season. He scored 23 goals in 33 La Liga games. And he also scored 6 goals in 11 Europa League games. He can be the game changer in this.

He is a great player and he is one of the biggest threat tonight but a single player cant carry the whole team. Overall team performance are dominated by Manchester United and its a fact

Both lineups are out already and I like the Man Utd have lined up conservatively, they don't look likely to over commit themselves to chasing the first goal. I'm still going to stick with my initial opinion that Man Utd will win this match.

Best possible starting lineup for United. Cross your fingers !

I've also had my bet on them @ 1.98 which seem highly valuable, imo.

I'd say the contrary, I think they lined up more offensively than usual. They are playing with 2 offensive wingers in Rashford and Greenwood + Cavani as a target man and Fernandes behind him.
It is probably the most attacking lineup they have, the conservative version would be with Pogba on the flank and Fred in midfield.

Villarreal starting as expected, they cannot rotate much anyway. They will miss Chukwueze today.

...I did say that if Man Utd didn't play Fred (who I believe is injured now) they would likely take this.
The line up is already out and Fred is on the squad https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/match/2029909--villarreal-vs-man-united/lineups/?iv=true

...

I think Villareal will play deep until Man United tire out then counter at every opporunity. The game could be decided in the final 20 mins when fresh legs will be introduced to the game. Maybe Cavani can become the Man United's hero in this Finals.

Both of them are equally likely to become champions even though they have met without a goal four times, but this is the determinant of who will win in the European league final, I believe the two teams will be aggressive with each other to chase the goals created, therefore the players must be consistent with what they play tonight and Manchester have a good chance if they take this opportunity.
Manchester United has a good attack, but Villarreal has an equally good defense. In any case, the teams play only one match and I believe that both teams have equal chances of winning today. I suppose that Manchester will attack, and Villarreal will play on counterattacks. So let's see whose strategy will be more successful. I sympathize more with Manchester, I have been their fan since childhood.

I've gone for Villarreal. I look at that Man Utd squad, and I just don't see the passion there. I feel like in big games a lot of them are passengers. Look at the Liverpool game for example, you might argue that Liverpool had more to play for, but its a derby match so you would expect some sort of minimal commitment. I did say that if Man Utd didn't play Fred (who I believe is injured now) they would likely take this. However, I think Villarreal are going to turn up for this, and in typical Spanish fashion, frustrate the English side.

I also think the ref will unfortunately have a lot of impact on how this game flows. If he allows a fast paced game, then I expect Manchester United to come out on top.

There are definitely chances for Villarreal, the coach Unai Emery has already won the Europa League title with Sevilla FC three times in a row, so he knows what a final is about and will send the team into the game that way. The last four games between Manchester and Villarreal all ended goalless, so I think an exciting final with a small advantage for Manchester United.

Villareal as the underdog for the bookies was expected, but the moneyline at 4 odds or villareal ahc 0 at 2.9 look good enough to place half unit. I went with the former. It's a final and villareal are there for a reason, they shouldn't be understimated. Emery looking to win another europa league, watch him pull a rabbit out of the hat and win the whole thing Grin

I also booked the ahc +0.5, this one's completely biased cos i want to back the only spanish team that reached an european final this season (:

finally, the btts at 1.9 is good value. The yellow submarine scored at least one goal in 19 out of their last 20 games in all comps. On the other hand, Man utd are a coin flip on the back, they've conceded a goal in 8 out of the last 10 games and in those 8 games the BTTS was correct. BOL!
