It seems to me that some people are underestimating the effects of the back to back losses of Man United to their momentum leading to the league's Final. It affects both the players and the manager. It's going to be a highly tactical game and I'm particularly interested on what changes Ole will make against Villareal.
I don't think the back to back losses is going to be a contributing factor. Since during that time as mentioned above they played a lot of games. The only change I expect them to make is not to play Fred. Once he was taken off against Liverpool they looked instantly better. Okay, some of that is due to Liverpool dropping back a little more, but they definitely looked more fluid in the middle of the field. Unfortunately, Matic didn't play all that well in the limited amount of time he had on the field.
I think that this result shouldn't mislead people. Because Manchester Utd have no chance left for the title and they are in a good condition in the table to be able to secure their position. There is a 4-point gap with Leicester in the end. I believe that they will play much better than this against Villarreal for winning a title this season.
Yeah, they don't have a chance for the title, but the teams are paid more based on their position in the league, therefore Manchester United will definitely want to hold onto that second position. I expect them to play all their remaining games at full strength (obviously ignoring their injuries).
