bitcointalk forum belong to all of us.

That is exactly the reason you don't want to spam your reflinks. Gotta respect other users of the forum who couldn't care less, no?

Ref link is not a spam if i use it first before everyone. I can write ref link and non ref link so people choose what if they want. To me this is people choice not moderators

Before everyone in a thread or the entire site? You're unlikely to be the first person to post a ref link and if we allow per thread then everyone will just spam new threads everywhere.

In a world of peaches, don't ask for apple sauce
Bump. Removed the question marks from a few rules as I encountered enough situations for me to fully confirm that those rules are still active. The list/thread is somewhat complete although good suggestions and new rules as they come out will be added. Made a few minor changes to the text (removed or changed) to reflect that.

Do you happen to have a list of changes? Improbable, I know, but I have to try Wink. It's for updating the spanish translation.

Yeah, would be nice for the german translation too. I can see there are no question marks any more.
Yeah, no question marks. I updated the text above the "Forum rules" title to:
Quote
The list is somewhat complete but I still will be adding rules as I encounter them. I'm open to suggestions on formatting, sources, mistakes, rules, removal from the list, etc.

Removed the text at the bottom of the FAQ, above the guidelines as questions are more or less done, unless I find a good one. That's it, I think. Haven't made any important changes so didn't think that a changelog would be needed.

I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!
That's a slippery matter. As I experienced, most of the threads in Reputation is to allow users leave feedback. As this is focused on the negative aspect and aimed at one situation rather than reputation in general, I think that Scam accusations somewhat fits. If any other mod thinks otherwise, he'd move it.

Threads in 'Reputation' are about positive feedback but a few negatives are also there. I don't think it is mainly focused for feedback but it all we can see.

It was first posted in 'Meta'. When I reported the post, IIRC it was moved to 'Reputation' but then it was moved to 'Scam Accusations'. I don't think this was done by one mod. Thanks for replying!

If any other staff/mod see this, I would like to get a reply on this. Different persons may have different opinions/views. Thanks!

What about posts like these[1]? Shouldn't it actually fit in Reputation? It's not like a 'Scam Accusation' but more like about 'Reputation'.

Bump and I also have a question. I am not sure if posts like these[1] should be in scam accusation, but rather in gambling. I could not find a definite post about this, but isnt scam accusations about individuals and not about services, casinos, etc.?

I think it fits in Scam accusations as it highlights unfair and unethical methods used by the owner. Gambling is for gambling site announcements and general Bitcoin gambling discussion. Positive or semi-positive threads about gambling sites should go to Service discussion and the negative ones to Scam accusations.

Is there a rule that threads like these should be moved to the archival board?
Depends. Some threads that might not have any replies would just be deleted while those qith several replies get moved to Archival. It  also depends on the mod that handles the situation.

Partial yes. Some posts are moved to Archival rather than deleting for public proofs.

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads.

Perhaps you and any anyone else could add it to yours?

Sure, hopefully some people will benefit from it, I just thought it would most be effective among the staff.
