is bitcoin more popular than US Dollar ?
Usd or Btc for me Btc because of the volatility and capability to be popular than USD. Bitcoin is Non-government currency while Us Dollar is Government currency.But there are the same level in investing but volatility is not . So the Bitcoin make more popular than Us dollar.

Bitcoin still not popular than USD because as we know USD still an international currency that use to measures oil and gold. Im never heard about bitcoin being measure for them. But as an investment thing, i think bitcoin have a same level as USD because many people invest on it too.then we might see a fall and that will leave a bad reputation to bitcoin. I hope that will not happen as I am happy with the recent success of bitcoin now.

Still not more popular even heading into 2018. It has picked up steam from the time the OP started the thread. It will be a while before it overtakes the dollar!
NO! United States Dollar still more popular than bitcoin, im not american and every time i ask my friends and my family did they know about bitcoin, they always answer no but if i ask did you know about USD they answer that know USD, its mean that bitcoin is note popular than USD
There is no doubt that the dollar is still the most popular out of the two, but bitcoin is making progress like no other currency around the world and in the distant future bitcoin could be big enough to become a rival to the dollar hegemony that has lasted for so long. I think it's hard for Bitcoin to be more popular than USD when the price of Bitcoin is base on USD 
Agree, USD was already build a strong foundation with the people in which it is hard for the bitcoin to surpass it. The truth is bitcoin is just another kind of investment in which we joined because we want to earn dollars for our spending and bitcoin cannot replace dollar even the other paper money because not all people know how to use it specially the children.
I think almost everyone in this world knows dollar while bitcoin is only a small part of the world know bitcoin so it's obvious that dollar is much more popular than bitcoin.
That time has gone when people were not aware of bitcoin now even a kid I aware if bitcoin and knows about it and bitcoin is now most discussed thing everywhere in the world and the recent pump in the prices has drawn the attention of world from other thing to the bitcoin and now people are regretting that why didn’t hear about it before and you will see bitcoin kicking out dollars and all other paper money.The price of Bitcoin is rising more to high price, the bullish trending still does not want to stop soon.

I think dollars are better than Bitcoins.You will find more people that are new to Bitcoin and would like to learn what is it and this currency is not accepted worldwide No one can say what is the future of bitcoin but about dollars it will be popular same as present. . On other hand, the U.S. Dollar is have stable here value to many years while bitcoin born in 1950's.so people will trust dollars instead of bitcoin.but no one knows about this two currency in the future..
If btc was more popular than usd then we would be sitting far higher than 450 dollars right now. So to answer your question, no. Not by far unfortunately.
But it is better today. Comparing the price of the two and the benefit that it gives to people, I can say that bitcoin is better and more popular to people, many people around the world uses bitcoin and those number of people is still increasing. The price is very far from the time that this thread was created and looking back, it seems so long but it just took less than two years for bitcoin to grow this big.

You are definitely right but don’t you think if you compare bitcoin with dollar then you may have different aspects and these different aspects would reveal different results to you. Like you are right bitcoin is not that much popular but just compare the level of popularity. Bitcoins are just newborn of 9 years against dollar and see the fame bitcoins have. They even crossed dollar in this race.
With such a rate of rise in the cost of bitcoin, investors can invest their money not in dollars but in the cryptocurrency in a few months. Then the US government can be concerned and take measures to protect its national currency.

That’s true, USD is more popular than Bitcoin, and is more reliable because it is a true and trusted currency which is widely accepted. But as for Bitcoin, not much people knows about Bitcoin and it is not widely accepted. Another thing is that Bitcoin is not a real currency but is just a digital asset that is mostly meant for investment, but offers a feature of peer-to-peer transaction.
I think not, in popularity everyone know the USD or USD banknotes but Bitcoin is not known well. Just clever people are know and use Bitcoin.

bitcoin is directly proportional to usd. when the btc price goes up, it will benefit user usd or fiat currency. well, we can not compare bitcoin with usd, because that's the same as comparing gold with fiat. I feel like that.
Everything is in trust. People trust in USD because of it's history. And don't trust in Bitcoin because most of them don't understand what king of money is it, as it's new technology))
Currently USD. Bitcoin has a lot to go through. It is gaining popularity, we will see what will happen in 5 years.
