So, for the first 100 blocks the reward was 1331?
http://cryptobe.com/chain/Virtualcoin?hi=119&count=20

Instamine? Please tell me no.

Thanks for bringing up to my attention, I will have to find out about it. But by the way, total VC I have in my account is 3798.862
My address: VRDMLpC2qXhNeS5SZ76zzGuq2TNftyukcG

Thanks, I will add block explorer to homepage.
It seems there was also an instamine in your last coin.
I remember because I mined 70000 coins at a reward rate of 6000 instead of 1000.

I just wasted 0.04 btc buying 400 coins.
Thanks a lot dev. That was 4/5ths of my month's pay. Sad

If you really aren't a scam, you will release a new update that makes those first 100 blocks unspendable.
Or you can make the first 100 blocks only worth 50 coins.

Anybody know this error: ?
I tried to chmod the build_detect_platform and "make libleveldb.a libmemenv.a" but no luck.
I also tried to replace the leveldb with darkcoin's leveldb.

Never mind, I copied over from another coin that had a Makefile.

That is perfectly normal.
Go to https://github.com/vcoin-z/virtualcoin/tree/9.2.0/src/leveldb
download both .o files
then recompile it.

I already had the two .o files.  I think the problem was as merx said in IRC that there was no Makefile.

The way that the suggestion of a block explorer kept being swept aside did make me wonder what was trying to be hidden. Guess that's it,  or is there more we should know about that we will find in time dev? Looking like a 4.43% premine right now. Although seeing as there are only 991,388.88 VC in existence it would currently work out as 13.42% of all VC were mined in the first 100 blocks.

I rescind my offer to a bounty fund in light of the above.

Iffy, still think this coin is worth $10 or more? Haha.  It finally clicked to you why the dev's been avoiding getting the block explorer right? That's why I told you it was his responsibility and I'm not paying for that and with your childish attitude, you started to trip and make personal attacks. If it's worth $10+ to you, then go ahead and buy my all 40,000+ VC's I'm selling at 699sats then.  It's a bargain. I'm done here.  I don't like to support these types of devs. Just reminds me of another carsen klock.

lol to me it is worth $20 to see if someone is a liar. That was not a personal attack, just a jokey response to your PM poised as a question. It is your overreaction to it I personally find odd. If the dev can explain this away it will be good to hear. Guessing it will be something to do with "Not yet redeemed". The key will be in "yet".

we can setup BTC donation address for shopping module, so it can used for buying/selling like bitcoin. Block explorer for me would be a lower priority (nice to have but not must).

#1 Shopping Module
#2 ATM Support
#3 Android/iphone Support
#4 Block explorer
#5 Mac wallet
...

This is what I personally thinks Wink

So that's one of them down anyway. Without any firm idea of costs for the work you have mentioned it is hard to gauge what the response will be. Any figures to work with? Any of it able to be done by you and/or vcoins?
Get another exchange or two and the website back in action, it could be worth trying to get listed on coinpayments.net as a short term shopping solution.

Here's another option for a block explorer.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=695891.0

Paid for, will be up some time tomorrow. TX ID: bc92ee95d7b3747b3e9ee86afd20b967e31d2398e5207a79066485f5fef45bc4

Went for the 6 month one as Trademark pointed out they have a clause to be able to close the "lifetime" one, lets see how it goes.
Awesome! I wonder what it is going to look like.

Well it wasn't a BTC addy was it? And what I said was much politer than what it really was (a declaration that this coins not worth $10 to you).

Any further news on a block explorer from anyone or is the above purchase looking like the current option?
Some folk think that they should not be the ones chipping in to find ~$20 - $30 and that it must fall to the dev.

Looks like I am the only one open to paying for anything right now. Anyone else here actually have a founded interest in this coin?

Iffy, I'll go half with you (or anyone else interested).  I was slow to respond because I've been trying to get my own Abe up and running but I haven't had the time.  Have you talked to the block explorer dev about it?

While I agree with apple_talk that it is probably not #1 priority we might as well set it up if people are asking for it and that is all it costs.  Let me know if interested.

Yes I have contacted them, that would be very good of you Haberdas, thank you. I will shoot you a BTC addy as soon as I hear back from them, unless they are happy with a VC bounty.

It is not the money that actually concerns me but the "willing" of the community. Just trying to work out those who are happy to help a little where they can. Personally I find it easier to spend $10 than to code new features for a wallet, will let the devs get on with that stuff. And no Trademark, I am not having a pop at you. You took the time out to find the block explorer folk after all. Smiley
