CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.

Before jumping into conclusions first I need to know that everyone has to be successful? What happens if they're not?

I do agree with the measures of being successful in today's society but its is not really necessary to keep ourselves pushing to new limits all the time to feel we arr successful and satisfied, just live the life to the fullest is more important than reaching the status called success and you know success and failures are part of the life but it will never exist forever.
We know that human beings doesnt really easily get contented even if they had already possessed out those things which most people doesnt able to attain which it is really not bad but dont make yourself
ending up on being greedy.
Success might really be in form of fame or achievement and money would really be just a standard because if you do have those both things then it would be understandable that you would be having the money.
Its true that not all do really end up on being successful no matter how hard they do work on but doesnt mean that we should stop thriving because nothing beats out if you do have that mindset
on improving your life.

I define success if you are already happy and contented, no matter how much money you have or no matter what your achievement is. Having a peace of mind is a big success, you can achieve this in many ways and it’s not all about money all the time. Many are very successful because they are able to balance life, they have the freedom to control their own time and use it for their own satisfaction. I wish to have this freedom someday, where I don’t need to work all day.

I can define success as an achievement, certainly not always about money because I think it will vary a lot. I just got promoted to become a member of Sr some time ago, it's also a success that I can feel while in this forum. So success is not always about money and big things, it can also be like small things that can make you feel happy.
I really agree with you, friend. Success doesn't always imply having a lot of money, being more popular, or getting a promotion in our office. Having many friends in this forum and getting a rank up on our account, are also a form of success. I also dream to rank up to a Senior Member someday, that is one of the goals of my success in this forum. In addition, can be a part of my current signature campaign, which is also a success for me.  Smiley

Everyone loves to become a successful being but success definition differs for everyone. Most people see success as being fame and rich. Although money is a huge driving factor for a lot of things and an ultimate measuring stick for whether or not a business is successful but this doesn't fully define success. Success is about claiming and speaking up for what is important to you. Consider these and tell if they are successful

👉👉a rich and a famous man with a broken home
👉👉a rich and a famous man that has failed to impact on others.
👉👉a money corrupt rich and famous man
👉👉a ritualist with great fame.

Although this people are rich and famous but aren't successful at my own part. There is always a shortcut to riches and being famous but success comes through hardwork. There are many rich and famous people who have attempted suicides in their life. If being rich is being successful, then what made them to take such disastrous steps? Sanjay Dutt is a son of a famous politician and is one of the richest celebrities, Sunil Dutt. Still, he is behind lock-up. Is this what we call as success? Many gangstar becomes rich out of crime and corruption but they are not successful in our society. This is part of what causes increasement in crime rate and corruption in the world as everyone want to be rich so as to be called a successful being. A successful man is one who finds his purpose and creates a life where he can fulfill that purpose.

CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Happiness! That is the only thing that decides how successful you are, for a person born in a slum, getting a decent job in the city and owning a house is all that he can aspire of and could give him utter happiness, for him this is a success. For someone else, let's say who was born in a very big home already success might be starting venture of his own. So success can be relative, fame can also be relative for various people. One should always search for what keeps them happy and when they are able to find what keeps them happy only then they will be able to say that they are successfull.

Success for me is having my name recognized as a principal author on some scientific papers. I have a long way to go, and it will take a long time before I get there. But sure enough after that I'll be proud of myself and wouldn't ask for more. Money is something that I'm receiving in generous amounts every month, and if I wanted to, I can live lavishly and purchase a lot of luxury things for myself. I don't find any enjoyment in that, although a lot of people would surely use that as a measurement of success. To each his/her own, at the end of the day.

Success and achievement go far beyond money, recognition, wealth and status.
You can have billions, but be absolutely not happy.
What may seems to be success to Mr A can be different thing to Mr B that cant be seen to consider to be success. I think what ever can makes us feel a goal is accomplished is success. To some persons to get rich can be a goal and if it is accomplished it can be considered to be success,  success is beyond money, it is a goal in life that's is not just achieved easily. Their is no particular achievement that can be pointed out to be success,  success comes in different forms.

I agree, but with a caveat. The problem is that sometimes money earned as a result of development and productive work is confused with stinginess and hoarding.
In the first case (success, where money has become the evaluative essence of the effectiveness of their owner) - this is the right example.
The second option is when a person accumulates for the sake of money itself, this is not correct.
Someone will ask the question - what's the difference? The result is the same - a lot of money? I explain - for a really successful person - money is one of the tools that help him achieve his next goals. For the second, it is the very purpose of life and the highest value.

true success for me is when i am able to achieve my dream and can enjoy it with my family. and able to share with others. create a harmonious life and make my life colorful and full of happiness. because actually we have a dream is because we think that if our dream is achieved then we will be happy. so success for me is happiness. because the hard work we do to achieve something is because we expect happiness in it.
I bet you are already successful with your life because your goal is only easy to achieve and that is happiness. You can be happy when you play or bond with your family and it doesn't require a big effort or a capital/money. If what you want is to give or share your blessings to the other people, you can always do that and again there is no need for you to acquire a big amounts of cash but you should only choose the people that you will lend a help because not all are willing to receive small gifts but they will sometimes complain and backstab you once you leave. Those people are so ungrateful but don't worry, they won't be blessed next time.

Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.
But is there anyone who really achieves satisfaction?
When people reach one stage of success, they will try to achieve another (greater) success. That's how people define their own non-constant success goals, where they reach a higher point then they will find new thoughts that affect the goal. And changing the financial aspect for the better is the majority of their success goals.
Uncontested.
Unfortunately, no one gets satisfaction from all the successful achievements of a person. I think that's human nature, that once you achieved your goal now, you will set another goal for yourself tomorrow, and the same thing follows everyday.

For me, although being rich and famous is also my goal, but i think going beyond like helping those who are needy from my multi sources of income will leave more impact and creates more chances of self-satisfaction.

peace and contentment is priceless but there will always be something that we want to achieve being human on this earth. that is right, we usually don't achieve satisfaction because we want more after we achieve our targets. i guess, that's part of being a human. for now, my goal is just to be contented for what i have and live with it. would be stressful if i want something that is not possible with the situation that i am in right now.

I would say I was successful when I was able to reach my goal depending of what really it is.
Money - that can be when you are financially stable but if we talk about fame, that is unless if you really need it. But for me, I don't need fame or being popular with the public, as long I was able to provide for the needs of my family and own a business, I was certainly happy with that. That can be called a little achievement that most people don't have.
Me too, I don't need fame or to be recognized. I just want a simple living where I can define being success in my own terms. Like having my own peace, stable income and career, good health and long life, that's it.
Very plain and simple and that's what I'm thriving to achieve because that's what I understand about life. If I'll be lucky to make a huge profit out of holding bitcoin then that's a bonus!

Accomplish your goals and dreams, find your passion and stick to it, and the rest will come on their own. Success doesn't necessarily have to be defined by money or fame. I'm yet to find something to be passionate about, and it's going to be my main goal for the upcoming years. I will only call it a success if I end up discovering it and am able to make a living out of it. It doesn't have to involve expensive cars or houses, but living comfortably enough to not worry about making ends meet.

Unfortunately, most of us simply stick to the usual way of living, working a job we may hate till retirement. This way of living doesn't involve experimenting, being passionate and adventurous, but slowly eats you away, entering a vicious cycle of depression. Honestly, my ideal scenario would be to become a digital nomad and explore the world, but it sounds too good to become a reality.
Some do even go out on their passion and go into other path as long they could able to make money and achieve financial freedom then most of us would definitely be doing this despite of being out of our
preferences but as much as possible we would really be sticking on things on what we do like or want as long you could able to do so and people would really be just going out of their comfort zone
whenever they do experience out some sort of interest nor even discourage on particular conditions or situations.Success could really be having different form but in overall it would still boils
up on having money and some does have those 3 things which it would really be just standard on living a comfortable life if ever you do reach out these things.

Success according to experts is when you reach the end point of your intention, but of course it must go through various processes in which there are obstacles that must be passed. The process can mean learning, trying, to sacrificing something that ultimately we achieve success. Success is a result, I think it's true.

The Op is right to the great extent, the society we live in today needs to be educated on what being successful is all about, because I belive we have missed it, and its part of the reason why we have a high rate of crimes.
People now believe that being successful is all about having alot of money, having a multi million dollar businesses, driving flashy cars, living In mansions and maybe being famous, this indeed is the wrong definition of being successful, and this has drove many of our youths and men into all sort of crimes likes stealing, occultism, rituals, drug and human trafficking.
Being successful is more of your achievements(not material achievements) and accomplishments, how you have impacted your family, friends, community, country, the world and your generation.

No not everyone wants to become successful but many of us are already contented on our basic life and we don't want to push more for some reasons. It could be that we lack of resources to achieve the real thing that we want. If someone wants to take a shortcut to get the things that they want, then that is still considered as a success but it looks inappropriate to others. The feeling is still the best if we exert a hard work.

On your own part yes because maybe you have your own definition of success but for their part they can say that they are already successful. While the first example is not likely, I mean with all the money that they have, they will also use it to build a good house.

Success to me is something that I feel financially stable and my source of income is solid for a long-term period.

It's not about having your own big house, cars, expensive stuff, and everything.

Those things I have mentioned are rewards for being smart and hard working wisely. Smiley

Your conclusion in my opinion is the ultimate truth, the people who are well off and have a lot of money doesn't want to admit it though because money buys you a lot of stuff and they are way too deep into the material world that they can't or won't admit it no matter what. Contentment is a stuff of wonder that many people just pass by without knowing most of the time.

Overall what you convey in this thread has a good point. but what is interesting to me, have you reached the conclusion as you said, and then get the satisfaction and true happiness that you define as success.
IMO, in reality humans will never achieve true happiness and absolute satisfaction, they are only temporary in the cycle of human life.

Speaking of success, everyone has a different perspective in interpreting success, it can be defined through marriage, fame, successful education. however, as you said, everyone will agree that money is an indicator as the main measure of success.
